Hawk Mountain is a mountain ridge, part of the Blue Mountain Ridge in the Appalachian Mountain chain, located in central-eastern Pennsylvania near Reading and Allentown. The area includes 13,000 acres (5,300 ha) of protected private and public land, including the 2,600-acre (1,100 ha) Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. The River of Rocks is visible and accessible from the Sanctuary. The boulders were formed by periglacial processes in the Pleistocene epoch, or "ice age".

Hawk Mountain Sanctuary is a wild bird sanctuary in Albany Township and East Brunswick Township, located along the Appalachian flyway in eastern Pennsylvania. The sanctuary is a prime location for the viewing of kettling and migrating raptors, known as hawkwatching, with an average of 20,000 hawks, eagles and falcons passing the lookouts during the late summer and fall every year. The birds are identified and counted by staff and volunteers to produce annual counts of migrating raptors that represent the world's longest record of raptor populations. These counts have provided conservationists with valuable information on changes in raptor numbers in North America. The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2022.

Eckville is an unincorporated community in far northern Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. The town is located in an agricultural zone at the base of Blue Mountain, in northwestern Albany Township. Eckville is served by the Kutztown Area School District, and is approximately 17 miles (27 km) from the high school. It is near the head of the Pine Creek, which flows east-southeastward to the Maiden Creek. Eckville is surrounded by mountains on three sides and is about six miles (9.7 km) west of Kempton. Indian Run is a 5.9-mile-long (9.5 km) second-order stream in East Brunswick Township, Pennsylvania. The headwater is one half mile south of Kepner, Pennsylvania, and the stream flows west for eight miles. The stream is known as a trout spawning tributary to the Little Schuylkill River at Rauschs, Pennsylvania.

Drehersville is an unincorporated community on the Little Schuylkill River and the northwestern foot of Blue Mountain in East Brunswick Township and West Brunswick Township in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. Route 895 passes through Drehersville, which serves as a western gateway for Hawk Mountain Sanctuary. It is pronounced "DRAY-herz-vil" or occasionally "DRAIRZ-vil." Hawk Mountain Ranger School (HMRS) is a Search and Rescue school operated by the Pennsylvania Wing of the Civil Air Patrol (CAP). The school is located in the foothills of the Blue Mountains on 77 acres of Civil Air Patrol corporate property. The Summer School, which is the school's longest and most popular event, is a National Cadet Special Activity (with the exception of 2024). On September 11, 2004, the school was rededicated as the Colonel Phillip Neuweiler Ranger Training Facility, in honor of its founder Colonel Phillip Neuweiler, the former Pennsylvania Wing Commander from the late 1940s to early 1970s.

New Ringgold is a borough in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 253 at the time of the 2020 census.
