Whalebones Park is a 14-acre area of fields and woods in Chipping Barnet, London Borough of Barnet, England, between Barnet Hospital and Wood Street. It is home to the grade II listed house known as The Whalebones and a whale bone arch.It has been reported that the area is being considered for development, leading to a campaign to save it as a public park.

Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet is a boys' grammar school in Barnet, northern Greater London, which was founded in 1573 by Robert Dudley, 1st Earl of Leicester, and others, in the name of Queen Elizabeth I. It is consistently ranked as one of the most academically successful secondary schools in England, having topped A Level league tables for grammar schools for five consecutive years, as of 2016, and was chosen by the Sunday Times as "State School of the Year" in 2007. An Ofsted report published in January 2008 stated: "It is held in very high regard by the vast majority of students and their parents, and rightly so." It has also been a Training school since April 2009 and has a specialism in Music.

Whitings Hill Open Space is a large public open space in Chipping Barnet in the London Borough of Barnet. It is mainly grassed with clumps of young trees, planted as part of the Watling Chase Community Forest, and a few mature trees. There are good views in all directions from the top of Whitings Hill. A small stream, a tributary of Dollis Brook, flows through the site. There is access from Shelford Road, Quinta Drive, Brett Road and Hackforth Close.

Garrett's Almshouses are Grade II listed almshouses on Wood Street, Chipping Barnet. The houses were constructed in 1729.

Barnet Countryside Centre is a 3.3 hectare Site of Local Importance for Nature Conservation in High Barnet in the London Borough of Barnet. It is run by the Friends of Barnet Countryside Centre as a nature reserve and to provide environmental education for schools.The site has areas of native woodland which support a wide variety of birds. Several small ponds have frogs, newts and the ruddy darter dragonfly. More open areas have a good variety of insects including the small copper butterfly and Roesel's bush-cricket.The site was formerly a playing field, and in 1975 it was established as an environmental education centre. In 2009 Barnet Council gave planning permission to the Noah's Ark Children's Hospice for the redevelopment of the site. The nature reserve is still maintained by the Friends, but there is no public access. It can be viewed from Byng Road and from a footpath between Byng Road and Cavendish Road.

Barnet Common was an area of common land to the south of the town of Chipping Barnet in what is now north London. The Common was created after a wood was cleared in the 16th century and was mostly used by local people to graze their animals. It was the location of a Digger colony and of the Barnet Physic Well at which mineral water was consumed. Part of the Common was enclosed in 1729 and the rest in 1815, leading to development on the north and south sides, and later infilling.

53 Wood Street is a grade II listed house at Wood Street, Chipping Barnet. The house dates from the early 1800s and has a distinctive central porch with four ionic columns.

Old Court House Recreation Ground is a public park in High Barnet in the London Borough of Barnet. It is one of the borough's Premier Parks and received a Green Flag Award for 2009–2010.The park has six free tennis courts, a bowling green with a pavilion, a children's playground, a café and a car park (off Manor Close). It has formal gardens, grassed areas, rockeries, and a tree trail. Some of the trees are from California, such as a Monterey pine and a Brewer's weeping spruce, planted in the nineteenth century.

Barnet Museum is in the London Borough of Barnet. It has displays on topics including the Battle of Barnet, Barnet Fair and Market. It is a centre for local and family research and its archives, library and reference collection are available for use by members of the public.

The North London Coroner's Court is a municipal building located at 29 Wood Street, Chipping Barnet, London. The building, which served as Barnet Town Hall, is a Grade II listed building.
