Wernersville State Hospital, founded in 1891 as the State Asylum for the Chronic Insane, is one of six state hospitals in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The hospital is operated by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services' Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (OMHSAS).

Fritztown is an unincorporated community in South Heidelberg and Spring Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located along Fritztown Road to the west of U.S. Route 222 and approximately two miles northeast of the Berks and Lancaster County line and 3.4 miles southwest of Sinking Spring. The Cacoosing Creek begins here and drains northeastward into the Tulpehocken Creek, a tributary of the Schuylkill River. The area is experiencing population growth, due to new sub-divisions being built around the community. It is served by the Sinking Spring branch of the Reading post office, with the zip code of 19608. On January 1, 1907, William G. Leininger of The Railroad Sock a hosiery mill in Fritztown on 5 Old Wernersville Road, which produced 200 dozen pair of hosiery daily. By this time, Leininger operated the factory in Mohnton and others in Berks County, according to local historian Paul Miller of the Sinking Spring Area Historical Society.

Brownsville is an unincorporated community located in western Lower Heidelberg Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located at the intersection of Brownsville and Heffner Roads. A very small portion of the village extends into North Heidelberg Township. The Brownsville Road Bridge, which spans the Spring Creek between Lower and North Heidelberg Townships, was constructed in 1962. In July 2010, PennDOT closed the bridge for repairs, and detoured traffic to US Route 422 near Robesonia. PennDOT also replaced the roadsigns on the bridge with new ones. The construction was completed in November 2010, and the bridge was re-opened.

Conrad Weiser High School is a public high school in Robesonia in Berks County, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Conrad Weiser Area School District and serves students in grades 9–12 in South Heidelberg Township, Heidelberg Township, North Heidelberg Township, and Marion Township and the boroughs of Wernersville, Robesonia, and Womelsdorf. Eight properties in a housing development in West Cocalico in Lancaster County also attend the high school. According to the National Center for Education Statistics, Conrad Weiser High School reported an enrollment of 809 pupils in grades 9–12 as of the 2020-21 school year.
