The Uganda Development Bank Limited (UDBL) is a government-owned development bank in Uganda.

Umeme Limited is the largest energy distributor in Uganda, distributing about 97 percent of all electricity used in the country. The shares of the stock of the company are listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) and are cross listed on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE). As of December 2021, the company's total assets were approximately UGX:2.664 trillion (US$706 million), with shareholders' equity of approximately UGX:893.15 billion (US$251.3 million).

The Aga Khan Mosque, also known as Ismaili Jamatkhana or Old Kampala as it located in the historic district of Old Kampala in Kampala, Uganda, is a prominent religious and architectural landmark. This mosque is a testament to the cultural and religious diversity of the region and serves as an essential place of worship for the Muslim community in Uganda.

The Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development (MGLSD) is a Cabinet-level government ministry of Uganda. The mandate of the ministry is to empower citizens to maximize their individual and collective potential by developing skills, increasing labour productivity, and cultural enrichment to achieve sustainable and gender-sensitive development. The ministry is headed by a Cabinet minister, Betty Amongi Akena.

The Insurance Towers (IT), is a government building under construction in Uganda. When completed, the skyscraper will house the headquarters of the Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda.

The Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda (IRAU) is a government agency mandated to "ensure the effective administration, supervision, regulation and control of the business of Insurance in Uganda".

The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is a semi-autonomous government agency, established by Act of Parliament in 1998 in Uganda. URSB is responsible for civil registrations (including marriages and divorces but not including births, adoptions, or deaths), business registrations (setups and liquidations), registration of patents and intellectual property rights, insolvency and receivership, chattels registry and any other registrations required by law.

The Independence Monument also known as the Uganda Independence Monument is a sculpture which symbolize the Uganda's independence from British colonialism on 9 October 1962. It is 29 feet (6 meters) tall concrete sculpture located in the center of Kampala City in the King George V Jubilee gardens at Nile Avenue between Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Grand Imperial Hotel to the right, and Standard Chartered bank to the left in Uganda. This monument replaces the King George V of Britain statue which used to occupy that area.

The Grand Imperial Hotel is a hotel in Kampala, the capital and largest city of Uganda. The Grand Imperial was one of the first hotels to be built in colonial Uganda in the early 20th century. It has 103 guest rooms, a swimming pool, two restaurants, two bars, a shopping arcade, and a gymnasium.The hotel is located on Speke Road, on Nakasero Hill, in the heart of Kampala's central business district. Adjacent landmarks include the East African Development Bank, the Bank of Uganda, the Kampala Sheraton Hotel, and the Ugandan headquarters of Standard Chartered Bank. The hotel is a member of the Imperial Hotels Group, which has three hotels in Kampala and three in Entebbe.

The city of Kampala, Uganda's capital, is administered by the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA). KCCA is administratively divided into five divisions, each headed by a mayor. The whole city is then headed by the Lord Mayor. The current Lord Mayor of Kampala is Erias Lukwago.
