Royal Army Medical College

Chelsea College of Arts is a constituent college of the University of the Arts London based in London, UK, and is a leading British art and design institution with an international reputation. It offers further and higher education courses in fine art, graphic design, interior design, spatial design and textile design up to PhD level.

The Stuart Hall Library is the special collections library and archive of Iniva (Institute of International Visual Art), in Pimlico, London, independent of, but located on the campus of Chelsea College of Arts.

Iniva (which was formerly written as inIVA) is the Institute of International Visual Art, a visual arts organisation based in London that collaborates with contemporary artists, curators and writers. Iniva runs the Stuart Hall Library, and is based in Pimlico, on the campus of Chelsea College of Arts.

Statue of John Everett Millais is a bronze statue of the British artist John Everett Millais. It is located in John Islip Street in Pimlico, to the north of the Tate Britain. Designed by the sculptor Thomas Brock it stands on a pedestal of Portland Stone. Early in his career Millais was a member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood known for works such as his 1852 painting Ophelia. He subsequently became a notable figure in the Royal Academy, producing history paintings, landscapes and portrait paintings. In 1896 he was elected President of the Royal Academy in succession to Frederic Leighton but died only a few months later. After his death it was proposed a memorial statue be erected to him with the committee headed by the Prince of Wales. Millais' successor Edward Poynter suggested that the statue should be located at the Tate Gallery. The statue has been listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England since 1970. In 2000 it was relocated from the North Forecourt of the Tate to its present position.

The Queen Alexandra Military Hospital (QAMH) opened in July 1905. It was constructed immediately to the north of the Tate Britain (across a side-street) adjacent to the River Thames on the borders of the neighbourhoods of Millbank and Pimlico, Westminster, London. The hospital closed in 1977, but several buildings remain.

Millbank Prison or Millbank Penitentiary was a prison in Millbank, Westminster, London, originally constructed as the National Penitentiary, and which for part of its history served as a holding facility for convicted prisoners before they were transported to Australia. It was opened in 1816 and closed in 1890.

The Morpeth Arms is a public house at 58 Millbank, in the Pimlico district of London. It was built in 1845 to refresh prison warders serving at the Millbank Penitentiary.It now contains a Spying Room which provides a good view of the headquarters of the Secret Intelligence Service MI6 across the river Thames. The building is listed as Grade II and it is now part of the Young's estate.

Millbank is an area of central London in the City of Westminster. Millbank is located by the River Thames, east of Pimlico and south of Westminster. Millbank is known as the location of major government offices, Burberry headquarters, the Millbank Tower and prominent art institutions such as Tate Britain and the Chelsea College of Art and Design.

John Islip Street is a road in Pimlico in Central London. Located in the City of Westminster, it runs roughly northeastwards from Vauxhall Bridge Road. It is close to the River Thames with the Millbank riverfront running parallel to it. It forms part of the B326 road. Streets running off it include Page Street, Marsham Street, Ponsonby Place and Atterbury Street. The street is named after John Islip, an abbot of Westminster Abbey during the Tudor era. On one side of the street is the Tate Britain, one of the leading art galleries in the city. Constructed in 1897, it was bombed during the Second World War. A statue of John Everett Millais designed by Thomas Brock was erected outside the Tate in 1904 and is now Grade II listed. Adjacent to the Tate is the former Queen Alexandra Military Hospital which opened in 1905. Across the road are a number of redbrick tenement buildings that form the Millbank Estate. Built by the London County Council from 1897 to 1902. In reference to nearby Tate Gallery they are named after celebrated British artists of the nineteenth century including Landseer, Lawrence, Leighton, Millais and Wilkie. They were built partly with materials reused from the demolished Millbank Prison that had existed since 1816. A number of buildings are now listed.

Tate Britain, known from 1897 to 1932 as the National Gallery of British Art and from 1932 to 2000 as the Tate Gallery, is an art museum on Millbank in the City of Westminster in London, England. It is part of the Tate network of galleries in England, with Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. It is the oldest gallery in the network, having opened in 1897. It houses a substantial collection of the art of the United Kingdom since Tudor times, and in particular has large holdings of the works of J. M. W. Turner, who bequeathed all his own collection to the nation. It is one of the largest museums in the country. The museum had 391,595 visitors in 2020, a drop of 78 per cent from 2019 due to COVID-19 pandemic closures, but still ranked 52nd on the list of most-visited art museums in the world.

Embassy of Lithuania in London is the diplomatic mission of Lithuania in the United Kingdom.Originally based in Gloucester Place in Marylebone, the Embassy moved to its current location in Bessborough Gardens, Pimlico in 2011. The Bessborough Gardens embassy is also the base of Lithuania's missions to the Sultanate of Oman, the African Union, the Republic of Ethiopia and Portugal.In May 2016 Lithuania, also opened an honorary consulate situated in the historic building of Ingress Abbey, Greenhithe, Kent.

The Paviours Arms was a public house in Neville House, Page Street, City of Westminster, that was said to be London's most complete Art Deco pub.The pub was designed by T.P. Bennett & Son, around 1937. It closed in May 2003 in order for the owner, Land Securities Trillium, to redevelop Neville House. The pub was close to the Houses of Parliament, making it popular with politicians, leading to an Early Day Motion in April 2003 signed by 67 members of Parliament calling on the developers and Westminster City Council to protect it from destruction. It was, nonetheless, demolished along with the rest of Neville House later in 2003.
