Queen Lane Apartments opened in 1955 as one of several Post-War public housing hi-rise complexes in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which were built and maintained by the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA). The PHA demolished the Queen Lane high-rise on September 13, 2014. The PHA replaced it with 55 new, affordable rental units for individuals and families. The first of the new 55 units were opened on December 15, 2015. Mayor Michael Nutter, City Council President Darrell L. Clarke, City Councilwoman Cindy Bass, PHA President/CEO Kelvin Jeremiah, residents of the nine new units, and other dignitaries joined together to cut the ribbon.

The William C. Sharpless House is an historic, American home that is located in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Germantown Cricket Club is a cricket club in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. It was one of the four principal cricket clubs in the city and was one of the clubs contributing members to the Philadelphian cricket team. It was founded on 10 August 1854 in what is now the northwest section of the city, and is the nation's second oldest cricket club. Its clubhouse was designed by architects McKim, Mead & White. The U.S. National tennis championship, precursor to today's US Open, was played on Germantown Cricket's lawn tennis courts from 1921 to 1923.The Germantown Cricket Club was located in Nicetown from 1877 until 1890 when it moved to its present Manheim Street location after merging with the Young America Cricket Club in 1890. The Newhall brothers joined the Germantown cricket team at this time after being the backbone of the Young America Cricket Club for forty years. It continues as a private club with facilities for tennis, squash, swimming, and special events. The club's facilities are a designated National Historic Landmark.

Queen Lane station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located at 5319 Wissahickon Avenue facing West Queen Lane, it serves the Chestnut Hill West Line. The station is 7.4 miles (11.9 km) from Suburban Station. In 2004, this station saw 470 boardings on an average weekday. It was built for the Philadelphia, Germantown and Chestnut Hill Railroad, a subsidiary of the Pennsylvania Railroad, in 1885 to a design by Washington Bleddyn Powell.

Wissahickon is a historic apartment building in the Germantown, Philadelphia. Wissahickon, which takes its name from nearby Wissahickon Creek, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It was listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places on August 6, 1981.

The Old Germantown Academy and Headmasters' Houses or The Old Campus is an historic, American school campus, the original site of Germantown Academy, located at Schoolhouse Lane and Greene Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The academy moved to a new suburban location in 1965, and the site is currently occupied by the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf. The site was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Germantown Lutheran Academy (GLA) was founded in 1965 and began operating a high school at the historic school campus previously occupied by Germantown Academy at Schoolhouse Lane and Green Street in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mr. John Dutton, the founding headmaster of Germantown Lutheran Academy, along with three teachers opened the school doors to thirty-four students in the fall of 1965. Each year the faculty would extend invitations to students to attend the next school year based on academic merit and contributions to campus life. A number of the school's faculty were commissioned teachers from the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod.Germantown Lutheran Academy merged with the Stevens School of Chestnut Hill to form Germantown Stevens Academy in 1973. Germantown Stevens Academy grew to over 200 students offering classes from kindergarten through grade 12 with over 30 faculty and staff serving the school. Class sizes were limited to 25 students to provide personalized learning and development. The Rev. Robert Brusic, a pastor of the Lutheran Church in America, became the president of Germantown Stevens Academy. Several Lutheran elementary schools throughout the Philadelphia area sent their students to GLA / GSA. The non-sectarian school offered classes in religion and held bi-weekly chapel to support students in their academic development and spiritual life. An extensive interscholastic athletic program supplemented the regular physical education program of the school. An outstanding choral and art program enhanced the school's academic experience.

Chelten Avenue station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located on West Chelten Avenue in the Germantown neighborhood, it serves the Chestnut Hill West Line. The concrete station structure, part of a Pennsylvania Railroad grade-separation project completed in 1918 in conjunction with electrification of the line, was designed by William Holmes Cookman.A station has been at this location since June 11, 1884. Known initially as Germantown, the 1918 station was named Chelten Avenue to avoid confusion with the Philadelphia & Reading Railroad's Germantown. The original station building was a two-story stone structure at street level on the outbound side. Retained in that general location after the 1918 grade separation, it was demolished circa 1958, replaced by a small brick ticket office on the inbound side which remains in use today.The station is in zone 1 on the Chestnut Hill West Line, on former PRR tracks, and is 8.1 miles (13.0 km) from Suburban Station. It contains concrete-arch-covered staircases on all four corners of the Chelten Avenue Bridge over the tracks leading to the station platforms. In 2004, this station saw 441 boardings on an average weekday. Despite having high-level platforms, the station is not ADA accessible, as it lacks ramps or elevators from the street down to the platform level.
