William Adamson School

David Farragut School is a historic school building located in the West Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1873 and is a three-story, four bay, stone building in the Italianate-style. An addition was built in 1915. It features brownstone and limestone trim. It was named for Admiral David Farragut (1801–1870). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

West Kensington is a neighborhood in the North Philadelphia section of Philadelphia. It is north of Olde Kensington. The Market Frankford El above Front Street forms the line between West Kensington and Kensington. Its bordering neighborhoods are Kensington to the east, Harrowgate to the northeast, and Fairhill to the west. Northeast Manual Training School, also known as Edison High School, was a historic school building located in the Fairhill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1903-1905 as a 31⁄2-story, random-coursed granite building in the Romanesque style. It featured a center turret, flanked by projecting gable ends.A fire on August 3, 2011, destroyed most of the interior, but the structural walls remained in good condition. The school, which had been closed in 2009 and then inhabited by squatters, was demolished in late 2011.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Fairhill is a neighborhood on the east side of the North Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Fairhill is bordered by Front Street to the east, Germantown Avenue (10th Street) to the west, Allegheny Avenue to the north, and Cumberland Street to the south. York–Dauphin station is an elevated rapid transit station on the Market–Frankford Line, of the SEPTA transit system. It is located in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The station is located at the intersection of Dauphin, Jasper, and Front Streets. it is the easternmost station running above Front Street; east of the station the line turns onto Kensington Avenue heading towards Frankford.York–Dauphin is also a transfer point for SEPTA buses, serving routes 3, 39, and 89.

Northern National Bank was a historic bank building located in the Hartranft neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1893, and was a two-story, brick and stone flatiron building in the Romanesque. It featured terra cotta and pressed metal decorative elements, and a set of pink granite steps at the main entrance. It has been demolished. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Ajax Metal Company Plant is a historic metal factory in the Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia. It was owned by the Ajax Metal Company, which smelted and refined brass and bronze at the plant. It is made up of seven sections built from 1907 to 1951.The building has since became part of The Fillmore.

Kensington Branch of the Philadelphia YWCA is a historic YWCA building located in the Hugh neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1911 and expanded in 1916. It is a six-story, brick with terracotta trim building in the Colonial Revival style. The original three-story section was built as the Hoffman Memorial wing.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Albion Carpet Mill, also known as the Bromley Mills, is a former mill in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States, for producing ingrain and damask carpet. Various members of the Bromley family were associated with Philadelphia's carpet industry. By 1882, James A. and George D. Bromley were producing the more common ingrain and damask carpets at their Albion Carpet Mill on the northwest corner of East Hagert and Jasper Streets. The firm had 350 employees at 140 looms. A six-story brick building with a decorated and corbelled brick cornice and arched window openings still stands. Adjoining the east side of the mill on the corner sits a one-story warehouse.

Kensington Hospital, formerly known as Kensington Hospital for Women, is the 2nd oldest, and last remaining independent hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The hospital was established in 1887 by Howard A. Kelly, MD, who later became one of the founding professors at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and the chair of gynecological surgery of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. The hospital was added to the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places in 2019.

Fair Hill Burial Ground is a historic cemetery in the Fairhill neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded by the Religious Society of Friends in 1703, it fell into disuse until the 1840s when it was revived by the Hicksite Quaker community of Philadelphia, which played an important role in the abolition and early women's rights movements. The cemetery is currently operated by the Fair Hill Burial Corporation, which is owned by Quakers and neighborhood community members.

North Central Is a area in the North Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The name of the area is derived from its location, near the center of North Philadelphia. According to Census 2010, North Central is primarily a low-income neighborhood where 60% of its residents are African American and 40% are Puerto Rican. Hartranft and Stanton are neighborhoods locally known as "North Central". North Central borders both North Philadelphia East and North Philadelphia West.
