East Little Rock

Unit A of the Climber Motor Car Factory is a historic industrial building at 1823 East 17th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a large wood-frame structure, topped by a gabled monitor roof. Its walls are concrete block for the bottom 2 feet (0.61 m), and wood frame between concrete pillars above. The building was constructed in 1919 for the Climber Motor Company, the only automobile manufacturer founded in the state, and was the only part actually built of a planned multi-building complex. The company manufactured automobiles here until 1924, after which it was used by Command-Aire to build light aircraft, and by the Great Northern Paper Company to manufacture toilet paper.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Little Rock Confederate Memorial is a stone memorial marker in Little Rock National Cemetery, Little Rock, Arkansas. Set in an overflow area of the cemetery on 21st and Barber Streets, it is a granite obelisk, mounted in a concrete base, measuring 18 feet (5.5 m) in height and a square base 67 inches (1.7 m) per side. Midway up the west side of the obelisk "U.D.C." is inscribed, with "1913" at the base of that side. Inscriptions on the sides of the base commemorate fallen Confederate Army soldiers. It was placed in 1913, paid for by the local chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The ceremony marked the first time that the federal government formally took charge of a former Confederate military cemetery.The memorial was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

John Selden Roane (January 8, 1817 – April 7, 1867) was an American politician and lawyer who served as the fourth Governor of Arkansas from 1849 to 1852. Prior to this he commanded the Arkansas Mounted Infantry Regiment following the death of Colonel Archibald Yell at the Battle of Buena Vista. Roane also served as a senior officer of the Confederate States Army who commanded infantry in the Trans-Mississippi Theater of the American Civil War.

The Minnesota Monument is an American Civil War memorial in the Little Rock National Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas. Also known as "Taps", it depicts a Union Army soldier, his bare head slightly bowed. His hands resting on the butt of his rifle, which is inverted, with the barrel resting on the ground. The bronze sculpture is 7 feet (2.1 m) tall, and is mounted on a granite base about 8 feet (2.4 m) tall. It is dedicated to the 36 soldiers from Minnesota who are buried here. The sculpture was designed by John Karl Daniels, and was funded by the state of Minnesota. It was dedicated in 1916.The memorial was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

Little Rock National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery, located approximately two miles (3 km) south-east of the Arkansas State Capitol Building, being within the city of Little Rock, and Pulaski County, Arkansas. It encompasses 31.7 acres (12.8 ha), and as of the end of 2005, had 25,172 interments. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it is currently closed to new interments.

The Hanger Hill Historic District encompasses a collection of early 20th-century residential properties on the 1500 block of Welch Street (between 15th and 16th Streets) in Little Rock, Arkansas. Included are nine historic houses and one carriage barn, the latter a remnant of a property whose main house was destroyed by fire in 1984. The houses are all either Colonial Revival or Queen Anne Victorian, or share some stylistic elements of both architectural styles, and were built between 1906 and 1912. Six of the houses are distinctive in their execution of these styles using rusticated concrete blocks.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

The Darragh Building, also known as the DARCO Building, is a historic commercial building at 1403 East 6th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a single-story building with an office component and a warehouse component. The office component is built using modern post and beam construction, and has walls composed of concrete panel and floor-to-ceiling windows. Both it and its stairs are set on recessed platforms, giving it the appearance that it is floating. It was built in 1958 to a design by Noland Blass, Jr., and is a good example of Mid-Century Modern commercial architecture.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017.

The Reichardt House is a historic house at 1201 Welch Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Built in 1870 and significantly altered in subsequent decades, it is now a two-story five-bay wood-frame structure, with a side gable roof and weatherboard siding. A central gabled section projects from the front, and a single-story porch wraps across the front, supported by delicate turned posts. The house was built by Edward Reichardt, an early German immigrant to the area.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The Stebbins and Roberts Office Building and Factory is a historic manufacturing facility at 1300 East 6th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. Set on 3 acres (1.2 ha) at the junction of East 6th and Shall Avenue, the building has a single-story office section and a two-story manufacturing facility behind. It has a buff brick exterior, and its main entrance has Art Deco decorative elements. The plant was built in 1947 to a design by Burks and Anderson, a prominent local architectural firm. It is their only known surviving industrial design.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

The Oakland–Fraternal Cemetery is a historic cemetery on Barber Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It actually consists of six originally separate cemeteries, and lies adjacent to the Little Rock National Cemetery, of which it was once a part. Portions of the cemetery are dedicated to Confederate war dead, and its grounds include two separate Jewish cemeteries, and the Fraternal Cemetery. The Fraternal side, established by the Grand United Order of Odd Fellows, was a burying ground for African Americans. The combined cemetery, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010, continues in active use.

The William Woodruff House is a historic house at 1017 East 8th Street in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure, with a gabled roof. A single-story porch extends across the central portion of the front, supported by Doric columns, and there is a large gable dormer projecting from the roof, housing a pair of round-arch windows and a small half-round window in the gable. The core of the house was built in 1853 for William E. Woodruff, publisher of the first newspaper west of the Mississippi River.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. It is one of four remaining antebellum homes in Little Rock.

Jenny Eakin Delony, also known as Jenny Eakin Delony Rice and Jenny Meyrowitz, (1866–1949) was an American painter and educator. She specialized in portraits of notable and historic figures in the United States, but also made miniature, landscape, wildlife, still life, and genre paintings. She was the founder of collegiate art education in Arkansas.
