Buffalo Creek is a tributary of the West Branch Susquehanna River in Union County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 28.5 miles (45.9 km) long and flows through Hartley Township, Lewis Township, West Buffalo Township, Mifflinburg, Buffalo Township, Kelly Township, and Lewisburg. Its watershed has an area of 134 square miles (350 km2). It is in the ridge-and-valley province of the Appalachian Mountains. Some streams and parts of streams in the creek's watershed are high-quality cold-water fisheries. There are ten types of rock formations and eight types of soil series in the watershed. The forests in the Buffalo Creek watershed are mostly deciduous hardwood, hemlock, and pine. The waters of Buffalo Creek are slightly acidic, with a pH ranging between 5.0 and 6.7. Metals such as magnesium have been observed in the waters. Nonmetals in the water include dissolved oxygen, calcium carbonate, suspended solids, and phosphorus. The etymology of Buffalo Creek is unknown. No buffalo have ever been definitely observed on the creek, although there are rumors about old buffalo wallows. Buffalo Township, Buffalo Valley, and Buffalo Mountain are all named after the creek. Historical industries in the watershed included mills and timbering, but livestock raising and agriculture are more common in the 21st century.

The Lewisburg Historic District is a national historic district that is located in Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Campus Theatre is an entertainment venue in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Opened in 1941, and located on Market Street, it is one of the few single-screen Art Deco movie houses in the country still in operation, and forms part of Lewisburg Historic District. It is now co-owned by Campus Theatre Ltd. and Bucknell University. The theater, designed by David Supowitz, was founded by the Steifel brothers (Oscar, Harold, Moritz (Morris) and Barney), Russian immigrants who ran an empire across New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Its opening night was January 17, 1941, when it showed the Jack Benny and Fred Allen musical comedy Love Thy Neighbor. Moriss's son, Harold, took over the management of the theater in 1953, when his uncle, Barney, retired. In 2001, Bucknell University film and media studies professor Eric Faden leased the theater from Jacquie Steifel, Harold's widow, and founded Campus Theatre Ltd. as a nonprofit organization. Five years later, Bucknell purchased the building and leased it back to Campus Theatre Ltd. for $1 a year. The theater underwent a $2.5 million renovation in 2011, including the addition of the Bucknell Bison logo on its facade.

Chamberlin Iron Front Building is a historic commercial building located at Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1868, and is a three-story, brick building with a two-story rear addition in the Italianate style. It measures 56 feet wide and 160 feet deep. The main section has a flat roof and the addition a gable roof. It features a cast-iron front manufactured in Danville, Pennsylvania. Over the years the building has housed a general store, shoe store, feed store, and post office, as well as fraternal organizations on the upper floors.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. It is located in the Lewisburg Historic District.

Miller Run is a tributary of Limestone Run in Union County, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is approximately 1.2 miles (1.9 km) long and flows through East Buffalo Township and Lewisburg. The watershed of the stream has an area of 0.87 square miles (2.3 km2). The stream has no officially named tributaries. It is very small and is not a perennial stream, but is impacted by stormwater flows and also has high concentrations of sediment. The stream's chemical hydrology has been significantly affected by human use. Major rock formations in its watershed include the Bloomsburg Formation, the Keyser-Tonoloway Formation, and the Wills Creek Formation. Most of the watershed of Miller Run is owned by Bucknell University. A significant fraction of the watershed is on urban land, but there is also some forested land. The stream was being channelized as early as the 1930s. In the 21st century, a number of studies and restoration projects have been done on it. The stream is a Warmwater Fishery and six fish species have been observed within it, though only one is found in its lower reaches. It has a very low concentration of benthic macroinvertebrates.

Lewisburg is a borough in Union County, Pennsylvania, United States, 30 miles (48 km) south by southeast of Williamsport and 60 miles (97 km) north of Harrisburg. In the past, it was the commercial center for a fertile grain and general farming region. The population was 5,158 as of the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Union County. Located in central Pennsylvania's Susquehanna River Valley, on the West Branch Susquehanna River, Lewisburg is northwest of Sunbury. It is home to Bucknell University and is near the Lewisburg Federal Penitentiary. Its 19th-century downtown is on the National Register of Historic Places. Lewisburg is the principal city of the Lewisburg, PA Micropolitan Statistical Area, and is also part of the larger Bloomsburg-Berwick-Sunbury, PA Combined Statistical Area.

Hufnagle Park is an urban park in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It runs for around 0.18 miles (0.29 km), from Market Street in the northwest to Saint Catharine Street in the southeast, and is bounded by South 6th Street to the west and South 5th Street to the north. Saint Louis Street bisects it just southeast of its midpoint. Bull Run runs along its western edge. The park contains a picnic pavilion, playground equipment, and gardens. It is named in honor of former Public Safety director Gordon Hufnagle, who died saving lives during the Agnes Flood on June 21, 1972. A covered footbridge just north of the park was built in his honor in 1982. Hufnagle Park is a terminus of the Buffalo Valley Rail Trail. The 9.5-mile (15.3 km) trail runs westward from Lewisburg to Mifflinburg following the rail bed of the Lewisburg & Tyrone Railroad, which was decommissioned in 1982. In 2009, the Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority acquired the right of way to the entire West Shore railroad which runs from Mifflinburg to Northumberland. The rail trail opened in 2011 and was extended in 2015. The former Reading Railroad Freight Station stands beyond the park's northeastern corner, on North 5th Street. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

University Avenue is a downtown street in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It runs for around 0.19 miles (0.31 km), from St. George Street in the north to Loomis Street in the south. It was the original main access road to the University at Lewisburg (Bucknell University today), located on the northern side of the campus, and still leads to its former main entrance, punctuated by the 1905 Memorial Gateway. The Grove, a wooded area, stands inside the gates. The university's oldest residence hall, Old Main (today known as Daniel C. Roberts Hall), stands atop College Hill, which begins its rise inside Memorial Gateway. It was built in 1858, when the school was known as the University at Lewisburg, and was rebuilt after fire in the 1930s. Several fraternity and sorority buildings stand on University Avenue, including Kappa Sigma and Phi Gamma Delta, while President's House is located at the intersection with Loomis Street, across from Lowry House (former home of hymn-writer Robert Lowry). The Union County Industrial Railroad passes beside both of these buildings as it crosses University Avenue. Limestone Run, a branch of both Bull Run and Miller Run, passes beneath University Avenue in its northern third. It empties into the West Branch Susquehanna River a short distance to the southeast. Its final stretch passes through what was formerly a lush area known as the Meadows.

The Robert Lowry House is a building in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. Now part of Bucknell University, it was the home of hymn-writer Robert Lowry (1826–1899) from 1869 to 1875. Lowry wrote several of his best-known hymns while living there. The building, which is constructed of brick, stands at 110 University Avenue, across from the President's House, on Loomis Street, and the university's 1905 Memorial Gateway. The Union County Industrial Railroad passes immediately to the north of the building as it crosses University Avenue. The Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission erected a marker outside the building in 1954.

7th Street is a downtown street in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, United States. It runs for around 1.06 miles (1.71 km), from North 10th Street in the northwest to River Road in the southeast. North of its intersection with Market Street (Pennsylvania Route 45), it is named North 7th Street; south of it, it is South 7th Street. From the West Branch Susquehanna River inland, Market Street's cross streets are numbered 2 through 8, with Front Street replacing what was originally 1st Street. Lewisburg's street layout was designed by Ludwig Derr in 1785, and is believed to have been inspired by that of Philadelphia. As well as passing through downtown Lewisburg, (South) 7th Street bisects the heart of the Bucknell University campus. In 2024, Lewisburg Neighborhoods, a non-profit community development organization, was awarded around $5 million to improve the streetscapes of 7th Street, South 5th Street and the Bull Run Greenway.
