Conner Preserve is a natural area in central Pasco County, Florida, preserved for water management since 2003. The landscape includes steep sandhill ridges, marshes, cypress sloughs and pine flatwoods and is "part of a wildlife habitat corridor envisioned by Pasco County and the Southwest Florida Water Management District that will eventually connect the Starkey Wilderness Preserve to the Cypress Creek Preserve, making a continuous corridor of several thousands of acres in this region." It is used recreationally for bicycling, horseback riding, hiking, camping, and model airplane flying. The park is located at 22500 on State Road 52 in Land o' Lakes, Florida. It is 2,980 acres (12.1 km2) and open from sunrise to sunset.

Pasco County is located on the west central coast of the U.S. state of Florida. According to the 2020 census, the population was 561,691. Its county seat is Dade City, and its largest city is Zephyrhills. The county is named after Samuel Pasco. Pasco County is included in the Tampa Bay Area and is primarily a bedroom community for Tampa and St. Petersburg. It includes numerous parks and trails located along rivers, the Gulf of Mexico, lakes, and highway/railroad right-of-ways. Several nudist resorts are located in Pasco. It has become known as the "naturist capital of the United States," beginning with a development in 1941. West Pasco includes retirement areas, commercial fishing, and suburbs of Tampa. The Suncoast Parkway as well as U.S. 19, U.S. 41, U.S. 98, U.S. 301, and Interstate 75 all pass through Pasco. The county is directly west of Polk and Sumter counties, north of Hillsborough and Pinellas counties, and south of Hernando County.

Land O' Lakes High School (LOLHS) is a four-year public high school in Land O' Lakes, Florida. It is a part of the Pasco County Schools District in Pasco County. The school mascot is the Fighting Gators.

Florida's 12th congressional district is an electoral district for the U.S. Congress and was assigned along the Gulf coast of central Florida. The district includes Citrus County and Hernando County, as well as most of Pasco County, including the places of New Port Richey, Dade City, Spring Hill, and Homosassa Springs. From 2013 to 2023, it covered Pasco County and parts of north Pinellas County and Hillsborough County.The district is currently represented by Republican Gus Bilirakis.

Tierra Del Sol Preserve is a 180-acre area of protected land one mile west of Land o' Lakes Boulevard (US 41) and two miles south of State Road 52 at 9855 Asbel Road in Land o' Lakes, Florida. It is closed for restoration at present. It was acquired in 2010 to protect a section of the Five Mile Creek wildlife corridor. As of 2013 wetlands in the preserve were being restored and enhanced.

Dupree Gardens was a private botanical garden, located 17 miles north of Tampa on Ehren Cutoff (Pasco CR 583), off US 41 in what is now Land o' Lakes, Florida, that was opened up to the public as a tourist attraction.One of the first roadside attractions in the state, the 25-acre botanical garden was opened to the public on the first of December, 1940. Renowned as the “Blossom Center of Florida”, the garden received over 30,000 visitors per year until World War II gas and tire rationing restricted tourist traffic to Florida. A 1948 American Automobile Association publication described the 900-acre estate as including "a beautiful 25-acre tropical garden with winding paths, meandering streams and sparkling waterfalls" and called it "one of Florida's major attractions". The gardens were also featured in other late 1940s and early 1950s guides. A historical marker, now located at the edge of a suburban housing development on Ehren Cutoff (Pasco CR 583), marks the original entrance of the road that once led to the 25-acre tropical botanical garden. The original stone ticket gate has been left standing. In 2003, a project to restore a large portion of the original Dupree Gardens ponds, streams, and waterfalls was initiated by the design team of Amanda Slaz and David Laurence, owners of a section of the garden’s original 25 acres.

Upper Pithlachascotee River Preserve, also referred to as Upper Cotee Preserve, is a 129-acre area of protected land in Pasco County, Florida. It includes 69 acres of bottomland forest by the Pithlachascotee River and the Ryals Branch, a tributary that crosses the site. The park includes a Cypress tree believed to be between 200 and 300 years old, a specimen listed in the Historic Places of Pasco County. It was the first property purchased through the Pasco County's ELAMP program with funding from the "penny for Pasco" sales tax. It includes sandhill habitat, upland mixed forest and freshwater marshes. The Upper Cotee Preserve is located at 17135 Minneola Drive and includes a nature center, boardwalk and hiking trail. The area provides habitat for deer, wild turkey, gopher tortoises, barred owl, red-shouldered hawks, the Florida mouse, gopher frog, little blue heron and snowy egret.

Hungry Harry's Famous Barbecue is a barbecue restaurant in Land o' Lakes, Florida, United States. Established in 1985 on U.S. 41, it is considered a landmark and features in community celebrations and fundraisers. Owner Harry Wright serves on the board of the Suncoast Harvest Food Bank and was grand marshal of the community's annual Flapjack Festival parade in 2005.The restaurant is on 5.8 acres including 350 feet of lake frontage. The business also operates a catering food truck business. and opened a location in Seffner in 2005. It was selected by a Land o' Lakes School as one of Land o' Lakes's "seven wonders" along with the Land o' Lakes Library, Land o' Lakes Recreation Center WalMart, Target, Oakstead Elementary School and the McDonald's with motorcycles in the play area. The St. Petersburg Times noted in 2010 that while Seffner was without a Starbucks or Panera Bread, the Hungry Harry's "just added 'red neck nachos' to the menu."

Land O' Lakes is a census-designated place (CDP) in Pasco County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater, Florida MSA. As of the 2020 US census, the CDP had a population of 35,929.

Quail Ridge is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Pasco County, Florida, United States. Its population was 1,040 as of the 2010 census.

Sunlake High School is a public high school in Pasco County, Florida, located off Sunlake Boulevard and State Road 54 in Land O' Lakes, Florida. It is adjacent to Charles S. Rushe Middle School, both of which opened on August 20, 2007. Sunlake did not open with a senior class. It relieved overcrowding at Land O' Lakes High School and J.W. Mitchell High School. By the 2008–09 school year, Sunlake students formed all four classes, 9th–12th grades. Its first principal was Angela Stone (2007–2010).

Academy at the Lakes is a private-independent college preparatory co-educational PreK3–12 school in Land o' Lakes, Florida (metropolitan Tampa). The school is non-denominational school and has two campuses separated by Collier Parkway. The Wendlek Campus is located on the east side of the street and the McCormick campus is located on the lakefront of Lake Myrtle on the west side. The Academy currently educates more than 400 students each year and provides its students with abundant opportunities in athletics, the arts, character formation, and community participation. Students and families are divided and assigned within a "house system". This system provides students and families with many cross-age and cross-campus experiences and furthers the Academy's focus upon building community-based relationships. Beginning in the Lower School, students have opportunities to participate in public speaking and the arts as a part of their core curriculum, taking such courses in subjects such as strings, band, instrumental music, choral music, choruses, theater, dance, and a full range of visual arts, including photography courses, videography, and sound mixing. Performance is a routine part of the student experience. The school is fully accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools and the Florida Kindergarten Council, and is a full member of the National Association of Independent Schools. Locally, Academy at the Lakes is a member of the Bay Area Association of Independent Schools.
