HMP Canterbury is a former prison in Canterbury, Kent, England. The prison was operated by Her Majesty's Prison Service. The former prison site was bought by Canterbury Christ Church University in April 2014.

The Canterbury School of Architecture (CSA) which was founded in 1952 is a leading architecture school in the United Kingdom and is a department of the University for the Creative Arts in England. It has been listed within the top five architecture schools in the United Kingdom. The CSA teaches degree programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels and in 2013, Will Alsop became Professor of Architecture at CSA and continues to support the school.The school also offers a guest lecture series called Multistory which allows students to engage with industry experts and professionals of the architectural world. The CSA offers an undergraduate course (BA (Hons)) which has exemption to the RIBA and prescription to the ARB Part One exam; a professional postgraduate course (MArch) which offers exemption to the RIBA and prescription to the ARB Part Two exam and also other undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees in other specialisms of architecture and interior architecture. The school was previously part of UCA's predecessor colleges, UCCA (the University College for the Creative Arts), and KIAD (the Kent Institute of Art and Design).

Canterbury College is a part of the EKC Group of colleges and provides Higher Education in Canterbury, Kent, England. It was established in 1947. The college has about 3800 students and 500 staff. It predominantly provides courses to students 16 and above. It also offers education to students between ages 14 and 16 through its Junior College, T Levels, and A Levels courses. Adult learners can also participate in part-time courses and short courses. The College is situated near the centre of Canterbury on New Dover Road.

Founded as a Church of England college for teacher training in 1962, it was granted university status in 2005.The university has developed rapidly since its inception in 1962 and now has over 20,000 students based at locations across Kent in Canterbury, Medway (as part of the Universities at Medway partnership) and Tunbridge Wells. As well as being Kent's largest centre of higher education for the public services – notably teacher training, health and social care and the emergency services. The university also offers academic and professional programmes, including doctorates and research degrees in the arts, humanities and social and applied sciences. The university offers a portfolio of STEM courses, including engineering and medicine, and works closely with STEM industry and businesses in the south-east. The Canterbury-St Martin's hoard is a coin-hoard found in the 19th century at Canterbury, Kent dating from the 6th century. The group, in the World Museum, Liverpool, consists of eight items, including three gold coins mounted with suspension loops for use as pendants. One of these is the Liudhard medalet, the earliest surviving Anglo-Saxon coin. Another coin is in the Bibliotheque Nationale.

St Augustine’s College in Canterbury, Kent, United Kingdom, was located within the precincts of St Augustine's Abbey about 0.2 miles (335 metres) ESE of Canterbury Cathedral. It served first as a missionary college of the Church of England (1848–1947) and later as the Central College of the Anglican Communion (1952–1967).

St Augustine's Abbey (founded as the Monastery of SS. Peter and Paul and changed after Augustine's death) was a Benedictine monastery in Canterbury, Kent, England. The abbey was founded in 598 and functioned as a monastery until its dissolution in 1538 during the English Reformation. After the abbey's dissolution, it underwent dismantlement until 1848. Since 1848, part of the site has been used for educational purposes (used as boarding houses and a library by The King's School, Canterbury) and the abbey ruins have been preserved for their historical value.

Chaucer School (or known simply as Chaucer) was a partially selective, mixed ability comprehensive school in Canterbury, Kent. Former names of Chaucer include Chaucer Technology School, Geoffrey Chaucer and Canterbury Technical High School for Boys In February 2014 Kent County Council announced that the school would shut because of low pupil intake and poor standards. Just weeks before Swale Academies Trust had promised a conversion to academy status and the sale of land to rebuild the school, but these plans were scrapped. Shortly after the proposal for closure was made public a petition on Change.org was created in an attempt to revert Kent County Council's decision, but this failed. The school closed in September 2015.
