Lakeview Park is a football stadium in Loughgall, Northern Ireland. It is the home ground of Loughgall F.C. The stadium holds approximately 1,300 spectators. As the name suggests, Lakeview Park is adjacent to a lake.

The Loughgall ambush took place on 8 May 1987 in the village of Loughgall, County Armagh, Northern Ireland. An eight-man unit of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) launched an attack on the Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC) base in the village. An IRA member drove a digger with a bomb in its bucket through the perimeter fence, while the rest of the unit arrived in a van and fired on the building. The bomb exploded and destroyed almost half of the base. Soldiers from the British Army's Special Air Service (SAS) then returned fire both from within the base and from hidden positions around it in a pre-planned ambush, killing all of the attackers. Two of them were subsequently found to have been unarmed when they were killed.A civilian was also killed and another wounded by the SAS after unwittingly driving into the ambush zone and being mistaken for IRA attackers.The joint British Army/RUC operation was codenamed Operation Judy. It was the IRA's biggest loss of life in a single incident during the Troubles.

The Battle of the Diamond was a planned confrontation between the Catholic Defenders and the Protestant Peep o' Day Boys that took place on 21 September 1795 near Loughgall, County Armagh, Ireland. The Peep o' Day Boys were the victors, killing some 6 Defenders, with some wounded Peep o day boys in return. It led to the foundation of the Orange Order and the onset of "the Armagh outrages".

The Armagh rail disaster happened on 12 June 1889 near Armagh, County Armagh, in Ireland, when a crowded Sunday school excursion train had to negotiate a steep incline; the steam locomotive was unable to complete the climb and the train stalled. The train crew decided to divide the train and take forward the front portion, leaving the rear portion on the running line. The rear portion was inadequately braked and ran back down the gradient, colliding with a following train. Eighty people were killed and 260 were injured, about a third of them children. It was the worst rail disaster in the United Kingdom in the nineteenth century, and to this day remains the worst railway disaster in Irish history. It is the fourth worst railway accident in the history of the post-independence United Kingdom. At the time, the disaster led directly to various safety measures becoming legal requirements for railways in the United Kingdom. This was important both for the measures introduced and for the move away from voluntarism and towards more direct state intervention in such matters.

Loughgall ( lokh-GAWL; from Irish Loch gCál) is a small village, townland (of 131 acres) and civil parish in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is in the historic baronies of Armagh and Oneilland West. It had a population of 282 people (116 households) in the 2011 Census. Loughgall was named after a small nearby loch. The village is surrounded by orchards.

Richhill railway station was on the Ulster Railway in Northern Ireland. The Ulster Railway opened the station on 1 March 1848. It closed on 10 October 1957.

Altaturk (from Irish Alt a tuirc, meaning 'height or glen of the hog or wild boar') is a townland of 283 acres in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the historic barony of Oneilland West and up until 1851 in the civil parish of Loughgall after which it was transferred to Kildarton civil parish.

Edenaveys (from Irish Éadan na bhFiach, meaning 'hill-brow of the ravens') is a small village and townland in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It lies southeast of Armagh and is within the Armagh City and District Council area. Historically, it has been anglicized as Edenafeagh amongst other variations. It had a population of 190 people (80 households) in the 2011 Census. (2001 Census: 189 people)

Derrycrew (from Irish Doire craobh, meaning 'oak of the wide branching trees') is a townland of 444 acres in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. It is situated in the civil parish of Loughgall and the historic barony of Oneilland West.

The River Tall is a small river in County Armagh, Northern Ireland which joins the River Blackwater just south of Verner’s Bridge. It is navigable for 4 km by dinghy or canoe.It rises about 5 km west of Markethill and flows north by Richhill and Ballyhegan, and then turns west. Originally it flowed into the River Callan at Fairlawn Bridge, but was diverted into a cut excavated in 1851–4, which intercepts it at a point 2 km above the former confluence and conveys it directly to the Blackwater just above Verner's Bridge. The "Old Course of the Tall", from the interception down to Fairlawn Bridge, is so named on maps of the time, but it is unnamed on more recent OSNI maps, and may have been partially filled in. A second cut, completed in 1855, partly diverted the Callan, by means of a weir at Clonmain Mill near the junction of the Summerisland Road and the Cloveneden Road, to the Tall at a point 0.3 km above the latter's own diversion, but the bulk of the Callan has continued in its original course. Both cuts are labelled "Callan River (New Course)" on maps of the time, but are unnamed on more recent OSNI maps.In common usage, the name "Tall River" is now extended to include the first cut, all the way from the interception down to the Blackwater, but OSNI maps attach the name only to the part upstream from the interception. Annahugh (from Irish Eanach Aodha 'Hugh's marsh') is a small village and townland near Loughgall in County Armagh, Northern Ireland. While most of the settlement is within the townland of Annahugh, part of it extends into the neighbouring townland of Ballyhagan (Baile Uí hAgáin). Hence, the two names are sometimes used to refer to the same settlement. It is situated within the Armagh City and District Council area. It had a population of 275 people (98 households) in the 2011 Census. (2001 Census: 159 people)
