Gulph Mills is an unincorporated community in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is served by the Upper Merion Area School District. There is a station on the Norristown High Speed Line. A grist mill built here in 1747 supplied flour to the Continental Army during their stay at Valley Forge. General George Washington's army encamped in the area for a week before departing for winter quarters at Valley Forge. Washington used the area as an ammunition depot during the autumn of 1777. The encampment is marked by a memorial erected by the Sons of the American Revolution in 1893. Another attraction here is the "Hanging Rock", a major distraction on Pennsylvania Route 320. Hanging Rock reportedly holds importance as a place by which George Washington led his troops. PennDOT has looked to remove Hanging Rock, but preservationists have battled such action since the 1970s. The Bridge in Upper Merion Township and Hanging Rock are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bridge in Upper Merion Township is a historic stone arch bridge located at Gulph Mills in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The bridge was built in 1789. It has a single 20-foot-long (6.1 m) span with a width of 34 feet (10.4 m), and an overall length of 100-foot (30 m). The bridge crosses Gulph Creek.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. The Bridge in Upper Mention is, as of August 2021, the fifth oldest bridge in use in the United States. In 2021, the bridge structure was repaired and rehabilitated by contractor J.D. Eckman, with 100% funding from PennDOT.[1]

Gulph Mills station is a SEPTA rapid transit station in Gulph Mills, Pennsylvania. It serves the Norristown High Speed Line (Route 100) and is officially located at Trinity Road and Crest Lane in Upper Merion Township, however another parking lot can be found across the tracks on South Gulph Road. This parking lot is only accessible for northbound drivers along South Gulph Road, though. All trains stop at Gulph Mills. Transfers are available for buses to the King of Prussia mall. The station lies 10.3 track miles from 69th Street Terminal. There is off-street parking available at this station.

Hanging Rock, also known as Overhanging Rock, or locally as Drummond's head, is a historic natural feature located in Gulph Mills, Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It is a large natural outcropping of phyllite that protrudes approximately eight feet over the roadway. The roadway, Pennsylvania Route 320 (S Gulph Road), was laid out as a public highway in 1711–1712. The road was traveled by General George Washington and the Continental Army into Valley Forge for the winter encampment of 1777–1778. The rock was dedicated as a memorial to that march by the Valley Forge Historical Society in 1924. In 1917 and 1954 holes were drilled into Hanging Rock for dynamite in an effort to remove the rock. This, along with erosion and vehicle collisions, has changed the shape of the rock over time. The "overhang" of the rock has decreased since the invention of the automobile as car crashes have chipped away at the rock over the years.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

Matsonford station is a SEPTA rapid transit station in Lower Merion Township, Pennsylvania. It serves the Norristown High Speed Line (Route 100) and is located at Matsonford Road and Montgomery Avenue (PA 320). Local, Hughes Park Express, and Norristown Express trains all stop at Matsonford. The station lies 9.4 track miles from 69th Street Terminal. There is off-street parking available at this station, over the southwest corner of Matsonford & Montgomery. The tracks run above the southeast corner and bridges can be found over both streets. Until October 1995, the station was named Conshohocken Road.

Hughes Park station is a SEPTA rapid transit station in Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania. It serves the Norristown High Speed Line (Route 100) and is located at Yerkes Road and Crooked Lane. All trains stop at Hughes Park. Trains known as the Hughes Park Express terminate here and operate to 69th Street, skipping certain stops along the way. The station lies 11.0 track miles from 69th Street Terminal.

Upper Merion Township is a township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 28,395 at the 2010 U.S. Census. Located 16 miles (26 km) from Philadelphia, it consists of the villages of Gulph Mills, King of Prussia, Swedeland, Swedesburg, and portions of Radnor and Wayne. The westernmost part of the township comprises the largest part of the 1,300-acre (5 km2) Valley Forge National Historical Park. The township is the home of the King of Prussia mall. King of Prussia also contains a major office park hosting firms such as Lockheed Martin and GlaxoSmithKline. The name Merion originates with the county of Merioneth in north Wales. Merioneth is an English-language translation of the Welsh Meirionnydd, itself named after Meirchion (or Meirion), grandson of Cunedda Wledig (b. ca. 380 A.D.), King of North Wales.

The Armenian Sisters Academy (ASA; Armenian: Հայ քույրերի վարժարան) is a Pre-K through eighth grade institution located in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania suburb of Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania, with a Radnor postal address. It is in proximity to Radnor Township. Its campus is a former estate.The name is also shared by two sister schools founded later in Boston and Los Angeles. The Armenian Sisters Academy is run by Sister Emma and Sister Hovanna who teach Armenian and religion classes, while a mostly American faculty teach homeroom classes.

Swedeland is a small unincorporated community in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States, in the suburbs of Philadelphia. It was founded as "Matsunk" by Swedish settlers in 1710. The name was changed to Swedeland sometime in the late 19th century.

Appleford/Parsons-Banks Arboretum (24 acres) is a non-profit arboretum and country estate located at 770 Mount Moro Road, Villanova, Pennsylvania.Appelford began in 1682 with William Penn's grant of 100 acres (0.40 km2) to James Moore. In 1728 Robert Jones erected a one-story stone farmhouse on the site, parts of which still stand. The house was enlarged and updated over the years, and the property grew to be as large as 800 acres (3.2 km2) before it was broken up circa 1900. Today's estate was created in the 1920s by landscape architect Thomas Sears and architect R. Brognard Okie, and contains the furniture and collections of its last owners, Lewis and Anabel Parsons. Mrs. Parsons donated the property in 1973 to Lower Merion Township.The arboretum contains streams and ponds, woods, rhododendron stands, a rose garden, copper beeches, stone walls, and a series of formal gardens.

West Conshohocken is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,320 at the 2010 census. Its sister community is Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, located across the Schuylkill River. Montgomery County's seat, Norristown, is located approximately two miles north of, and across the river from, West Conshohocken.

County Line station is an interurban rapid transit station on the SEPTA Norristown High Speed Line (Route 100). The station is located on County Line Road near Matsonford Road in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania. Local, Hughes Park Express, and Norristown Express trains all stop at County Line. Trains running south of this station cross under the Keystone Corridor (Philadelphia to Harrisburg Main Line) that carries the Paoli/Thorndale Line as well as Amtrak's Pennsylvanian and Keystone Service trains. The station lies 8.6 track miles from 69th Street Terminal.
