It has a capacity of 3,830 prisoners, and as of September 2018, its full time workforce numbered 1,200. Heery International designed the facility. It replaced SCI Graterford. Most prisoners are male, located in the East and West sub units, while it has a re-entry unit for female prisoners with a capacity of 192.The female unit is not in the main prison perimeter. SCI Phoenix is one of two prisons that share Pennsylvania's death row. The department of PA Corrections anticipated that most of the prisoners would be from the area of Philadelphia, and currently SCI Phoenix is the state prison closest to Philadelphia.

Warren Z. Cole House, now known as Indenhofen Farm and also known as the Kidder-De Haven House, is a historic home located in Evansburg State Park at Skippack, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA. It was built in 1725, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brownstone dwelling, four bays wide and two bays deep. It features gable end chimneys and a steep shingled gable roof. The property also includes a summer kitchen and bake oven and a Swiss / German bank barn. The property was restored and is open to the public by the Skippack Historical Society.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

It is located mostly within Lower Salford Township and also in Franconia Township. Harleysville was settled by Pennsylvania Dutch in the 18th century and was named after Samuel Harley.

Skippack Creek is a 15.7-mile-long (25.3 km) tributary of Perkiomen Creek in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania in the United States. Skippack Creek joins Perkiomen Creek approximately 3 miles (5 km) upstream of that creek's confluence with the Schuylkill River.A portion of the creek flows through Evansburg State Park and passes by the census-designated place of Skippack.Skippack is a Native American name purported to mean "a pool of stagnant water".It is stocked with brown and rainbow trout; other fish in the creek include smallmouth bass, catfish, sucker, carp, panfish, and freshwater eel.

Indian Creek is a tributary of Cobbs Creek in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania in the United States.Indian Creek has two branches that have their sources in Wynnewood, Montgomery County. The West Branch flows through the neighborhood of Penn Wynne and the East Branch flows through the Green Hill Condominiums. After flowing across City Line Avenue (U.S. Route 1) into Philadelphia, they enter Morris Park. Near Haverford Avenue both streams are piped underground, joining up beneath a recreational area within Morris park. The combined Indian Creek re-emerges on the south side of Haverford Avenue near 69th Street, and flows through more parkland and then the Cobbs Creek Golf Course, until it joins Cobbs Creek near the 69th Street Terminal, on the Upper Darby side of the banks of Cobbs Creek. The creek was once the site of a number of factories and mills.

The State Correctional Institution – Graterford, commonly referred to as SCI Graterford, known prior as Eastern Correctional Institution, Graterford Prison, Graterford Penitentiary, and the Graterford Prison Farm, was a Pennsylvania Department of Corrections prison located in Skippack Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, near Graterford. The prison, located on Graterford Road off of Pennsylvania Route 29, was about 31 miles (50 km) northwest of Philadelphia.The prison, described by Joseph Stefano of The Philadelphia Inquirer as the primary state prison serving the Philadelphia metropolitan area, once housed a small number of male death row inmates. Graterford closed in 2018 and was replaced by SCI Phoenix.
