Santa Ana metro station

The Iglesia de Santa Ana is a Catholic church in downtown Santiago de Chile. It is located at the northwest corner of Catedral and San Martín streets. The church was declared as a National Monument of Chile in 1970, within the category of Historic Monuments. Santa Ana metro station is named after the church.

The Palacio Pereira is a historic neoclassical mansion located at the corner of San Martín and Huérfanos streets, in downtown Santiago, Chile. Built in the second half of the 19th century, it was declared a Historic Monument in 1981, but its deterioration was not stopped and remained abandoned for several decades. In 2011, under the first presidency of Sebastián Piñera, the government bought the building to convert it into the headquarters for the Dirección de Bibliotecas, Archivos y Museos (DIBAM) and the Consejo de Monumentos Nacionales (CMN). The following year was made a call for an open architectural competition for a preliminary restoration project and the design of an annex building. The winning project, proposed by the firm led by Cecilia Puga, was announced in December 2012, during the XVII Biennale of Architecture. In 2014 the architectural design by Puga, Alberto Moletto and Paula Velasco was completed. The planned date of completion of the project is December 2019.The palace, along with the Former National Congress Building, will be occupied by members of the Convención Constitucional, the group in charge of Chile's constitutional redrafting after the national plebiscite regarding this issue held in October 2020.

Liceo Javiera Carrera or Liceo N°1 de Niñas de Santiago is a high school for girls in Santiago, Chile. Started as the “Instituto de Señoritas de Santiago” in 1894, the lyceum worked with three courses of study: two of preparatory and one of first year of humanities. Initially, it was not intended to prepare women for further study. In 1913, Juana Gremler (its first headmaster) established a first studies plan, similar to the curriculum of the men's lyceums. Her changes allowed students to prepare themselves for university education. Among the courses offered were courses in history, language, maths, physical education, religion, domestic economy and hygiene. After the death of Gremler, Isaura Dinator assumed the headmaster's position. Dinator, in consultation with the government, changed the lyceum's name to "Liceo Javiera Carrera". She also introduced new subjects, including art and economy. Additionally, French language was made compulsory (English and German remained optional). It remains one of the most prestigious girls-only schools in Santiago, Chile, a reputation solidified by its many notable alumni.

The Bolivarian University of Chile (Spanish: Universidad Bolivariana de Chile) is a Chilean university established in 1987. It has around 7000 students. The university obtained functional autonomy in 2002. Before this date, graduates had to submit to an examination by the Chilean Board of Education in order to have their degree validated. Currently, all degrees granted from the university are fully recognized by the Chilean government without additional requirements. Individual majors are accredited, and the institution is in the process of seeking a wider institutional accreditation.

The Basílica del Salvador is a basilica located at the corner of Huérfanos Street and Almirante Barroso Street in the Barrio Brasil of Santiago de Chile. The basilica was designed by the German architect Teodoro Burchard in the Neo Gothic style. It was renovated by Josué Smith Solar in 1932. Two earthquakes, one in 1985 and the other in 2010, badly damaged the basilica.

Barrio Brasil is a neighborhood of Santiago, Chile, located to the west of the city center in the commune of Santiago and to the east of Barrio Yungay. Barrio Brasil is close to the neighborhoods Dieciocho, Concha y Toro, Yungay, and República and lies immediately to the north of the Alameda. Barrio Brasil is known for its strong cultural and artistic scene, featuring a number of bars, nightclubs and cultural venues.

The Arts Faculty, University of Chile (Spanish: Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile), is an academic discipline within at the University of Chile, which is located in the capital city of Santiago. Within the Arts Faculty the following departments are represented: visual arts, dance, music, sound, theatre, and arts theory; which occupy three buildings on campus.

The Edificio José Miguel Carrera is the headquarters of the Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores of Chile, located in the Civic District of Santiago, facing the Plaza de la Constitución. It was formerly the historic Hotel Carrera, until 2004.

The edificio de la ex Caja de Crédito Hipotecario is a building located at 1234 Huérfanos Street, in downtown Santiago, Chile. Designed by architect Ricardo Larraín Bravo, it was built between 1915 and 1920 for the Caja de Crédito Hipotecario, and as of 2016, it serves as the seat of the Tribunal Constitucional.The building was declared a National Monument of Chile in 2018.

Plaza Brasil (Brasil Square) is located in Barrio Brasil, a neighborhood of Santiago, Chile known for its strong artistic and cultural scene. The square is bordered by Avenida Brasil to the east, Huérfanos street to the south, Compañía de Jesús street to the north and Maturana street to the west. Access to the square is via the Cumming station of the Santiago Metro.

Colegio Alonso de Ercilla (English: Alonso de Ercilla School) is a Chilean high school located in Rancagua, Cachapoal Province, Chile.

Galpón Víctor Jara (“Víctor Jara Warehouse”) is a cultural center located in Santiago, Chile, in Barrio Brasil, an area of the city known for its strong artistic and cultural scene. Managed by the Víctor Jara Foundation, the center is named for the Chilean singer-songwriter and activist who was killed by the Chilean army following the Chilean coup of 11 September 1973. The Galpón is a popular live venue for Chilean bands, particularly those of the New Chilean Cumbia, gypsy and cueca musical styles, such as Chico Trujillo, Banda Conmoción and La Mano Ajena.
