San Nicolás de Soria

The Co-cathedral of San Pedro (Spanish: Concatedral de San Pedro) is a medieval building in Soria, Spain. It is in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Osma-Soria.

The Church of Nuestra Señora de la Mayor is a Roman Catholic church in Soria, Castile and León, Spain. It was built in the 16th century on the remains of the Romanesque church of Saint Giles, dating from the 12th or the 13th century. The low, square-shaped tower was part of the original building.

The San Juan de Rabanera is a Romanesque-style, Roman Catholic church located in Soria, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1929.Construction began in the 12th century, but the church has been refurbished since, and had the addition of chapels. The highly sculpted main portal derives from the razed church of San Nicolás, moved here in 1908. The apse has flat striated pillars, one of which forms the axis of symmetry, separating two windows with semi-circular arches as opposed to the most common single one. The interior has gothic elements, but the rounded apse has Romanesque window moldings.

The Palacio de los Castejones is a plateresque 16th-century palace located in Soria, Spain. It is located at the Aduana Vieja street (street of the old customs) next to other renaissance palaces of the city. It was built by the Castejón family, which is of great weight in this region of Castile. In the nearby village of Agreda, there is another palace called Palacio de los Castejón. Although its sandstone is badly damaged by the passage of time, its original architecture can still be admired in the 21st century. At this time it is a private dwelling. Stylistically, being plateresque, it resembles another palace in Soria, the Palacio de los Ríos y Salcedo.The entrance has a segmental arch. The tympanum is decorated by the owner family's coat of arms, held by two wild lambs and two wild men kneeling naked. This façade is inspired by the Palace of the Count of Miranda in Peñaranda de Duero.

The Monastery of San Juan de Duero (Spanish: Monasterio de San Juan de Duero) is a ruined, medieval monastery located in Soria, Spain. It belonged to the Knights Hospitaller. The building has been protected since 1882 and is a Bien de Interés Cultural.

The Palace of los Ríos y Salcedo (Spanish: Palacio de los Ríos y Salcedo) is a palace located in Soria, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1982.

The Numantine Museum of Soria located in Soria, Spain, focuses on the prehistory and history of the province of Soria through art and archaeology. The name chosen for the museum, which means pertaining to Numantia, reflects the historical importance of Spain's most famous hill fort, which is a few kilometres from Soria. The museum is the centre of a network of smaller museums in the province, such as the Museo Paleontológico de Ambrona. The museum's displays contain much material from Numantia, but say relatively little about its siege by the Romans: there is a museum at the site itself. The museum also displays material relating to other Iron Age settlements in the province, notably Tiermes and Uxama, complementing smaller on-site museums.

Nuevo Estadio Los Pajaritos is a multi-purpose stadium in Soria, Spain. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of CD Numancia. The stadium holds 8,261 seats and was built in 1999. It is notoriously cold and over 1,000 metres above sea level, allegedly giving Numancia a strong home advantage in winter. The move to the new stadium coincided with a rise in CD Numancia fortunes. They were promoted to the Primera in 1999 and spent two seasons there before returning to Segunda A. They returned to the Primera in season 2004-05 but their stay lasted just the one season. They returned to the Primera in season 2007–08. They currently play in the Segunda División B. Prior to 1999, CD Numancia played at the Estadio Municipal Los Pajaritos. It is a basic athletics stadium with a small cantilevered stand on the west side, adjacent to the new stadium. That was even colder, having fewer wind breaks from the stands, with the suggestion that hot showers were only installed in 1996 at the expense of FC Barcelona, after third-tier Numancia had knocked three other top flight clubs out of the Spanish Cup that year. In January 2016, a heating system was installed in the stands. It was to be inaugurated on 14 February 2016, in the 2015–16 Segunda División game between Numancia and Mallorca.

Soria Railway Station (IATA: RII) is the railway station of Soria, Spain. It is a terminus, but in the past trains continued into the interior of the province. The line runs 94 km from Soria to Torralba, where it joins the conventional Madrid-Zaragoza-Barcelona line.

The Celtiberian oppidum of Numantia was attacked more than once by Roman forces, but the siege of Numantia refers to the culminating and pacifying action of the long-running Numantine War between the forces of the Roman Republic and those of the native population of Hispania Citerior. The Numantine War was the third of the Celtiberian Wars and it broke out in 143 BC. A decade later, in 133 BC, the Roman general and hero of the Third Punic War, Scipio Aemilianus Africanus, subjugated Numantia, the chief Celtiberian city.
