Stadion Krimeja is a football stadium in the Croatian city of Rijeka. It is named after the Krimeja neighbourhood where it is located. The stadium has served as the home ground for HNK Orijent since 1923. The capacity of the stadium is 3,500.

Trsat (Italian: Tersatto, Latin: Tarsatica) is part of the city of Rijeka, Croatia, with a historic castle or fortress in a strategic location and several historic churches, in one of which the Croatian noble Prince Vuk Krsto Frankopan is buried. Trsat is a steep hill, 138 m high, rising over the gorge of the Rječina river, about a kilometre away from the sea; strategically significant from the earliest times right up to the 17th century, it is today a major Christian pilgrimage centre and home to a statue of Pope John Paul II who came to Trsat as a Pilgrim in 2003. Today, the University of Rijeka's newly constructed campus lies in the western part of Trsat.

Dvorana Mladosti (English: Hall of Youth) is a sports hall in Rijeka, with sporting, cultural, business and entertainment events. The hall was built in Trsat in 1973. The size of the hall is 5,458 m2, and the surface of outer space is 10,486 m2. The main part of the hall consists of the main arena, two small halls for heating, a hall for judo, karate, weightlifting and billiards hall, and in the halls there are 4 dressing rooms, 2 fitness centres, office spaces and sports associations, press centre and catering facilities and retail spaces. The capacity of the hall is 2,960 seats and 1,000 standing places.

The Orehovica interchange (Croatian: Čvor Orehovica) is a trumpet interchange in Rijeka, Croatia. The interchange represents the southern terminus of the A6 motorway and it connects the A6 route to the A7 motorway between Škurinje and Draga exits, also representing a part of Rijeka bypass. The interchange is a part of Pan-European corridor Vb. It also represents a junction of European routes E61 and E65.The interchange was originally executed as Zagreb–Rijeka motorway terminus exit, connecting the motorway to the city of Rijeka itself directly. Following construction of Rijeka bypass towards Škurinje (westward), the interchange was expanded, but it was still used as a motorway exit. Once the bypass, i.e. A7 motorway, was extended eastward to Sveti Kuzam, the motorway exit was scheduled to be cancelled. A subsequent intervention into the design documents allowed preservation of one directional ramp facilitating exit from the southbound A6 motorway at the interchange.

Trsat Castle (Croatian: Gradina Trsat) is a castle in Trsat, Croatia. It is thought that the castle lies at the exact spot of an ancient Illyrian and Roman fortress. The Croatian noble Vuk Krsto Frankopan is buried in one of the churches. The Trsat castle was completely reconstructed and renovated in the 19th century when the mausoleum of the military commander Laval Nugent was built in its interior. The courtyard of the castle has now been turned into a restaurant and many tourists visit the place during the summer months.

The siege of Trsat (Croatian: Opsada Trsata) was a battle fought over possession of the town of Trsat (Latin: Tarsatica) in Liburnia, near the Croatian–Frankish border. The battle was fought in the autumn of 799 between the defending forces of Dalmatian Croatia under the leadership of Croatian duke Višeslav, and the invading Frankish army of the Carolingian Empire led by Eric of Friuli. The battle was a Croatian victory, and the Frankish commander Eric was killed during the siege.The Frankish invasion of Croatia, the destruction of Tarsatica, the coronation of Charlemagne as Holy Roman Emperor, and negotiations from 802–815 between the Franks and Byzantines led to a stalemate. Dalmatian Croatia consequently peacefully accepted a limited Frankish overlordship.

Petar Kružić stairway, or Petar Kružić staircase, or Trsat stairway (Croatian: Stube Petra Kružića) is the stone stairway in Rijeka (Croatia) that leads from Rijeka to Trsat. The stairway starts from the archway at the Eastern Bank of Rječina river in Rijeka, and leads up to Trsat settlement, which placed on a plateau with altitude of 138 meters from sea level. The stairway consists 561 stone steps and was built for the pilgrims as the road to the Church of Our Lady of Trsat (Church of Our Lady of Trsat). The construction of the votive stairway was begun in 1531. due to the Croatian warlord captain (Petar Kružić), who excelled in the battles with the Turks. Petar Kružić built the lower part of the staircase way leading to the Basilica of Notre-Dame of Trsat, today is Church of Our Lady of Trsat dated 15th century. It is why this staircase was named Petar Kružić stairway. Later the stairway was extended up to 561 steps. One of the votive chapels along this stairway was created in 15th century and another one in 18th century.

The Rječina (Italian: Eneo; German: Flaum), also known as the Fiumara, is a river in Croatia that flows into the Adriatic Sea at the city of Rijeka (Italian: Fiume). It is about 18 kilometers (11 mi) long, with an average width of 9 to 16 meters (30 to 52 ft). It springs from a cave at an elevation of 325 meters (1,066 ft) above sea level, below the high cliff of Kičej Hill (elevation 606 meters or 1,988 feet). Until 1870 the river's spring was below the next hill, Podjavorje, but it collapsed in an earthquake near the village of Klana. The most significant confluents are the Sušica, Lužac, Zala, Zahumčica, Golubinka, Ričinica, and Borovšćica, but they are dry for most of the year. In 1968 a dam Valići was built, creating Lake Valići to facilitate a hydroelectric power plant, HE Rijeka, but destroying the village of the same name in the process. The Rječina flows through a canyon for almost half of its length. In Rijeka, the river branches into two parts: Dead Channel (Mrtvi kanal, the old basin), and the new channel, which was created in the 19th century, when Dead Channel was used as a harbor. The best-known sight is the Gaspar Mill (Gašparov mlin) in Martinovo Selo, which was restored in the 1990s. Notable fauna are trout and river crabs.

The Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc in Rijeka (Croatian: Hrvatsko narodno kazalište Ivana pl. Zajca Rijeka. Italian: Teatro Nazionale Croato Ivan de Zajc), commonly referred to as HNK Zajc, is a theatre, opera and ballet house located in Rijeka.

The Rijeka Tunnel (Croatian: Riječki tunel), also called TunelRi, is a pedestrian tunnel located in the city centre of Rijeka, Croatia. The tunnel spans 350 metres (1,150 ft) from St. Vitus Cathedral to Dolac Primary School in Old Town. It was originally built from 1939 to 1942 by the Italian military in order to protect civilians from Allied aerial bombings during World War II. In several places along the tunnel, one can still see the original "Riservato all U.N.P.A." ("Reserved for the Anti-aircraft Corps") signs.After being closed for 75 years, the tunnel was remodeled and opened to the public in 2017, serving as a tourist attraction and public passage. The tunnel has no entrance fee and is open for public access every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Palace Modello (Croatian: Palača Modello; Italian: Palazzo Modello) was built in 1885 in Rijeka, Croatia, on the place of the destroyed and demolished Adamichev (Croatian: Adamićev) theater. The palace was designed by the Viennese buro Fellner & Helmer led by Ferdinand Fellner and Herman Helmer. Building commenced in 1883 and completed in 1885. The palace was built for the Rijeka Bank and cashboxes of the Savings Banks. The Palace Modello has luxurious facade. It is rich in decorative elements in the style of the late renaissance and baroque. Decorative items were maden by the sculptor Ignazio Donegani.Modelo Palace is situated within sight of the Croatian National Theatre in honor Ivan Zajc, which was built in 1885 by the Buro Fellner & Helmer to replace the destroyed Adamichev theater.Attractive gala hall, which is now an audience of Italian Cultural Club (Italian: Comunità degli italiani di Fiume), decorated with magnificent stucco.The public library of Rijeka city is currently operating on the ground floor.

The St. Vitus Cathedral (Croatian: Katedrala Svetog Vida) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Rijeka, Croatia. In the Middle Ages, the Church of St. Vitus was a small and one-sided, Romanesque church dedicated to the patron saint and protector of Rijeka. It had a semi-circular apse behind the altar, and covered porch. With the arrival of the Jesuits in Rijeka, the cathedral as we see it today was founded in 1638. First, it became the Jesuits' church. When the town of Rijeka became the center of the diocese, and then in 1969 the center of the archbishopric and metropolit, the representative Jesuit's Church of St. Vitus became the Cathedral of Rijeka. The structure is a rotunda, which is unusual in this part of Europe, with elements of Baroque and Gothic, including fine baroque statuary inside. The cathedral was depicted on the reverse of the Croatian 100 kuna banknote, issued in 1993 and 2002.
