The National Taxpayers Union (NTU) is a fiscally conservative taxpayer advocacy organization and taxpayers union in the United States, founded in 1977 by James Dale Davidson. NTU says that it is the oldest taxpayer advocacy organization in the nation. It is closely affiliated with a non-profit foundation, the National Taxpayers Union Foundation (NTUF). The organization has ranked politicians on their perceived fiscal responsibility, in the eyes of the National Taxpayers Union.

Capitol Crossing is a $1.3 billion real estate development often also referred to as a community revitalization project in downtown Washington, D.C. Construction on the project began in 2014 and was completed in 2021. The Capitol Crossing project is privately funded, and is one of the largest ongoing private developments in DC. This 2.2 million square foot project covers a 7-acre site above I-395 and consists of 5 mixed use buildings: 200 Massachusetts, 250 Massachusetts, 200 F Street, 600 Second, and 201 F Street. These five multi-use buildings will span three long blocks over the highway. The project is expected to have 75,000 square feet of retail, restaurants, and cafes, and below the project will be a 4-level garage with 1,146 parking spaces and 440 bicycle parking spaces. As a major infrastructure project, Capitol Crossing is expected to bring 8,000 permanent jobs as well as contribute over 40-million-dollar tax per year once established.Developers of Capitol Crossing have claimed the project will create a greener, more sustainable city with Washington D.C.’s first “eco-district.” The five buildings are expected to be LEED Platinum certified and the finished site will feature cogeneration power, rainwater catchment, and eco-chimney filtration. The three blocks being built do not take land from Virginia or Maryland, but bring back land that was taken years ago.The neighborhoods of Capitol Hill and the East End, which have been long divided by the highway, will be reconnected in the near future due to the construction of a platform adjacent to Massachusetts Avenue. According to city officials, this $200 million platform built over the highway will enhance the vibrancy of east downtown community of Washington, D.C.According to Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, the development project will provide 150 residential units, and over one third of them are affordable to most of the median income.The First Phase of the project was developed by Property Group Partners, with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill serving as master planners and Roche-Dinkeloo as architect. The Second Phase of the project will be developed by Capitol Crossing Advisors with Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates and Ennead as architects.

The Holodomor Memorial to Victims of the Ukrainian Famine-Genocide of 1932–1933 was opened in Washington, D.C., United States, on November 7, 2015. Congress approved creation of the Holodomor Memorial in 2006.The memorial was built by the National Park Service and the Ukrainian government to honor the victims of the Ukrainian Famine-Genocide of 1932–33 and to educate the American public.The memorial, designed by Larysa Kurylas, is one of three monuments in Washington, D.C., designed or co-designed by women—the others being the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and the National 9/11 Pentagon Memorial.The memorial is located near the U.S. Capitol building at the intersection of North Capitol Street, Massachusetts Avenue, and F Street N.W. It is diagonal to the Smithsonian's National Postal Museum, about one block from Union Station.

Phoenix Park Hotel (formerly the Commodore) is a hotel located in Washington, D.C. on North Capitol Street, at the corner of F St. NW and Massachusetts Avenue. The hotel is on Capitol Hill, close to the Capitol Building and Union Station.It is a Georgian Revival-style hotel built in 1927 and originally known as The Commodore. It was bought in 1982 by Daniel J. Coleman and renamed after Dublin, Ireland's Phoenix Park. Its Irish themes include its toiletries and the Dubliner, Washington DC's oldest continually operating Irish bar. It has been a member of the Historic Hotels of America since 2002, and it was renovated in 2016.

The Capital Jewish Museum, officially the Lillian & Albert Small Capital Jewish Museum, is a historical society and its planned museum in Washington, D.C., focused on the history of Jewish life in the American capital city and the surrounding Washington metropolitan area. Formerly known as the Jewish Historical Society of Greater Washington (JHSGW), the organization adopted a new name in 2018 as it prepared for the opening of its new museum facility, expected in 2021. The organization was founded in 1960 and incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1965. From 1975 to 2016, it operated the Lillian & Albert Small Jewish Museum in the historic Adas Israel Synagogue building, an 1876 structure that is the oldest surviving synagogue in the city. The synagogue building has been moved three times in its history, with a final move in 2019 to become part of the planned Capital Jewish Museum.

Holy Rosary was established in 1913 as a parish located in the Northwest-East Deanery of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington in an area known as Swampoodle. The parish is administered by the Scalabrinian Fathers.
