Markeen Apartments

The Kress Building, also known as S.H. Kress and Co. Building, is a Classical Moderne Art Deco building in downtown Fort Worth. Designed by New York architect Edward F. Sibbert, the five-story Kress building served the “five-and-dime” chain from 1936 through 1960 and was one of the only major construction projects in Fort Worth built using private money during the Great Depression. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007. In 2016, the building was converted into downtown housing.

The F.W. Woolworth Building is a historic department store building located in Sundance Square section of downtown Fort Worth, Texas. The building served as a retail location for the F. W. Woolworth Company from 1926 to 1990. It now houses other tenants including a JoS. A. Bank Clothiers store. Designed by Wiley G. Clarkson and James T. Taylor to be ten stories tall, the limestone and concrete structure was only built as a three-story building. The Classical Revival building includes an elaborate frieze. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.

The Burk Burnett Building is a building in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, located in Sundance Square. It has twelve floors and is 156 feet (48 m) high. The ground floor of the building is occupied by Worthington National Bank. The Burk Burnett Building has been listed on National Register of Historic Places since November 12, 1980.

The Landmark Tower was a 30-story skyscraper located at 200 West 7th Street in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Designed by Fort Worth architecture firm Preston M. Geren & Associates, Landmark Tower was the tallest building in the city from its opening in 1957 until the completion of the Fort Worth National Bank Tower in 1974. After being abandoned in 1990, the tower stood vacant for more than 15 years until it was demolished in 2006. It is one of the tallest buildings ever to be demolished.

The Farmers and Mechanics National Bank is located at 714 Main Street in Fort Worth, Texas, at the corner of Main and Seventh streets. The building is the future home to the Kimpton Harper Hotel, which is scheduled to open in spring 2021. Designed in the Chicago Style the building was constructed in 1921. It was designed by the prominent architectural firm Sanguinet and Staats. The building was constructed during a time when Fort Worth was experiencing tremendous growth as a result of the oil and cattle industry. It remained the tallest building in Fort Worth until 1957. The building was vacant from 1997 until 2007 when XTO purchased the building and started renovations. It has also been known as Fort Worth National Bank; Continental Life; Transport Life; A. Davis Men's, and 714 Main.It is a three-part vertical block building.

The Blackstone Hotel is the tallest hotel in downtown Fort Worth, Texas, at 268 ft (82 m) tall. Located on the corner of Fifth and Main Streets, it is noted for its Art Deco design with terracotta ornamentation and setbacks on the top floors. The hotel was constructed in 1929 and operated for over 50 years before it sat vacant for nearly 20 years. The Blackstone Hotel guest list is full of notable people including Presidents of the United States: Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, and Richard M. Nixon. The hotel was also host for a few movie stars such as Bob Hope, Clark Gable, and Elvis Presley. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places (Building #84001961) on February 2, 1984. The building was restored in the late 1990s and is still in use today as the Courtyard Fort Worth Downtown/Blackstone, although it is still known as the "Blackstone Hotel" to those who live in or have ties to Fort Worth.

First Christian Church is a historic church at 612 Throckmorton Street in Fort Worth, Texas. It was founded in 1855, making it the oldest continuously operating church established in Fort Worth, Texas. The present building at 6th and Throckmorton dates back to 1915. It was designed by architects E.W. Van Slyke and Clyde Woodruff in a Renaissance Revival style. The raised two-story limestone building has a Greek Cross plan with a tower and copper-clad dome at the crossing and three porticos with Corinthian columns. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and received the Fort Worth Historical and Cultural Landmarks Designation in 2006.

First National Bank Building, at 711 Houston St. in Fort Worth, Texas, was built in 1910. It was designed by Sanguinet & Staats with Wyatt C. Hedrick. It has also been known as Baker Building and as Bob R. Simpson Building.It is an 11-story three-part vertical commercial block skyscraper building. It was designed by Fort Worth-based Sanguinet & Staats and built in 1910 with width of 3 bays upon Houston Street and 7 bays upon Seventh Street. It was expanded to 7 bays wide on Houston in 1926, following designs of Wyatt C. Hedrick.Its design includes elements of Beaux-Arts style, in its architectural omamentation.

For the similarly named building in Miami, see Aviation Building The Aviation Building was a Zigzag Moderne skyscraper located at the heart of downtown Fort Worth from 1930 to 1978. Designed by Herman P. Koeppe of the Wyatt C. Hedrick Architectural Firm, the 16 floor, 275 foot tower served the growing aviation concerns of Fort Worth before providing office space for several insurance groups. In 1978 the Aviation Building was demolished to make way for the construction of the Transwestern Building (now Carter Burgess Plaza).

777 Main Street is a skyscraper located in Fort Worth, Texas. At 525 feet (160 meters), it is the third tallest building in Fort Worth. It has 40 stories, and was completed in 1983. Its address is 777 Main Street, and it takes up the block bounded by Commerce Street, East 7th Street, Main Street, and Northeast 6th Street. The building stands at the site where the demolished Aviation Building existed between 1930 and 1978. Typical floorplates for this building are 23,000 square feet (2,100 m2). The building was significantly damaged by an F3 tornado on March 28, 2000, about 1,300 of the 5,000 buildings windows were blown out and repairs were done in 2001. The building has been known under a series of names in the past as its main tenants have changed. Before 1998 it was known as the Continental Plaza; from 1998 to 2000 as the UPR Plaza; and from 2000 to 2012 as the Carter Burgess Plaza.

The Tower (formerly Block 82 Tower and Bank One Tower) is a 35-story building located in downtown Fort Worth, Texas bound by Taylor Street, Throckmorton Street, West 4th Street, and West 5th Street. At 488-feet (149 m), it is the fourth tallest building in Fort Worth. When it was completed in 1974, it was the tallest building in Fort Worth until the completion of the Burnett Plaza in 1983. On March 28, 2000, this tower was severely damaged by an F3 tornado; consensus was nearly reached to demolish the tower, but it was instead converted into the tallest residential building in the city.
