Perch Lake Township is a township in Carlton County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 998 as of the 2000 census. "Perch Lake" is probably an English translation of the Native American name for this township's namesake lake.Big Lake Road, Twin Lakes Drive, Ditchbank Road, Mission Road, and Cary Road are five of the main routes in the township. Perch Lake Township is located immediately west of the city of Cloquet. The community of Sawyer is located immediately south of the township. Perch Lake Township is located within the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation.

The Fond du Lac Indian Reservation (or Nah-Gah-Chi-Wa-Nong (Nagaajiwanaang in the Double Vowel orthography), meaning "Where the current is blocked" in the Ojibwe language) is an Indian reservation in northern Minnesota near Cloquet in Carlton and Saint Louis counties. Off-reservation holdings are located across the state in Douglas County, in the northwest corner of Wisconsin. The total land area of these tribal lands is 154.49 square miles (400.1 km2). It is the land-base for the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa. Before the establishment of this reservation, the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa were located at the head of Lake Superior, closer to the mouth of the Saint Louis River, where Duluth has developed.

The community is located between Carlton and Cromwell on State Highway 210 (MN 210), near Interstate 35. Iverson is located five miles west-southwest of Cloquet. Black Bear Casino Resort is nearby.

Its population was 239 as of the 2010 census.Mahnomen is located in the southern portion of Brevator Township near Cloquet. The community is located between Brookston and Cloquet. The Saint Louis River flows through the community. The center of Mahnomen is generally considered at the intersection of Mahnomen Road and Brookston Road.

Fond du Lac Ojibwe School is a K–12 tribal school in Cloquet, Minnesota. The Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa operates the school and owns the facilities. It is affiliated with the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE).

The population was 332 at the 2010 census.U.S. Highway 2 and Saint Louis County Road 31 (CR 31) are two of the main routes in the township. County Road 31 runs north–south through the township. U.S. Highway 2 runs east–west along Stoney Brook Township's northern boundary line with adjacent Culver Township. A majority of Stoney Brook Township is located within the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation.

The Cloquet City Hall, also known as the Spafford Building, is located at Avenue B and Arch Street in Cloquet in the U.S. state of Minnesota. The red brick Colonial Revival building was built in 1920 and features quoins, keystones, and an entablature with a high parapet. Tall stone pilasters extend to the high cornice.

The R. W. Lindholm Service Station is a service station designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and located in Cloquet, Minnesota, United States. Built in 1958 and still in use, it is the only station built to a Wright design during his lifetime. It was originally part of Wright's utopian Broadacre City plan and is one of the few designs from that plan that was actually implemented. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A portion of Brevator Township is located within the Fond du Lac Indian Reservation.

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College (FDLTCC) is a public tribal land-grant community college in Cloquet, Minnesota. FDLTCC is located within the Twin Ports area of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin in northeastern Minnesota. The college is a member of Minnesota State, the American Indian Higher Education Consortium, and the World Indigenous Nations Higher Education Consortium. FDLTCC was Minnesota's first tribal college. FDLTCC is the only college in the nation both established as a tribal college under federal law and operating as part of a state-funded higher education system.
