Belfast Asylum (Irish: Tearmann Bhéal Feirste) was a psychiatric hospital on the Falls Road in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The Royal Jubilee Maternity Hospital is a maternity facility in Grosvenor Road, Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is managed by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

St Dominic's Grammar School for Girls (Irish: Scoil Ghramadaí Naomh Doiminic do Chailíní), formerly St Dominic's High School, is a Catholic grammar school for girls aged 11–18 (Years 8–14), in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The Falls Road (from Irish túath na bhFál 'territory of the enclosures') is the main road through West Belfast, Northern Ireland, running from Divis Street in Belfast City Centre to Andersonstown in the suburbs. The name has been synonymous for at least a century and a half with the Catholic community in the city. The road is usually referred to as the Falls Road, rather than as Falls Road. It is known in Irish as the Bóthar na bhFál and as the Faas Raa in Ulster-Scots.

The Eileen Hickey Irish Republican History Museum (Irish: Iarsmalann na Staire Poblachtach Éireannach), is a museum in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was established in 2007 after years of campaigning by Eileen Hickey, who collected the exhibits.The museum is based in Conway Mill in the Falls Road area of West Belfast. The site is a former linen mill built in 1842 which has been in community use for the last thirty years. The museum opened in February 2007 on the first anniversary of the death of Eileen Hickey, one of the major driving forces behind the initiative. The museum is administrated by a committee made up of volunteers. Hickey was the former Officer Commanding of the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) prisoners in Armagh Women's prison and she dedicated her life to preserving artifacts and relics from the period in Irish history known as The Troubles.The museum was officially opened by Fr. Des Wilson and Noelle Ryan. Exhibits have been donated by hundreds of individuals and families. These include prisoners handicrafts made by republicans imprisoned around the world, weapons used by republicans and pictures and artwork relating to the conflict. Some exhibits date back as far as the United Irishmen's rebellion of 1798. Key exhibits include: A jacket worn by IRA volunteer Mairéad Farrell while in prison. A cell door and bed removed from Armagh women's prison. A large array of posters and paintings related to the conflict. Articles of interest on deceased members of the National Graves Association, Belfast and other republicans in Belfast and beyond. A library and interpretive centre to help with education projects and those conducting historical research.

The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children is a specialised government children's hospital and medical centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is managed by the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust and is the only hospital in Northern Ireland dedicated to children.

St Rose's Dominican College was a non-selective, Catholic Maintained, all ability, school for girls aged 11–18 years located in West Belfast, Northern Ireland. It was founded in 1961 by nuns of the Dominican order who also ran the neighbouring St Dominic's Grammar School for Girls. The college was located in the Beechmount area of the Falls Road. The school motto was Veritas, meaning truth, showing St Rose's pride in their aim for proper catholic education. It became part of All Saints College / Coláiste na Naomh Uile in 2019.

The Donegall Road (Irish: Bóthar Dhún na nGall) is a residential area and road traffic thoroughfare that runs from Shaftesbury Square on what was once called the "Golden Mile" to the Falls Road in west Belfast. The road is bisected by the Westlink – M1 motorway. The largest section of the road, east of the Broadway junction with the Westlink, has a community which self-identifies as predominantly Protestant while the community on the other side of the Westlink – M1 motorway self-identifies as predominantly Catholic.

St Mary's University College is a university college in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

RISE is the official name given to the public art sculpture located at Broadway Roundabout in Belfast, Northern Ireland. However, it has been given unofficial, colloquial titles such as the "Balls of the Falls", "the Testes on the Westes" and "the Westicles". These names have been derived by both the sculpture's location on Broadway Junction (located above the A12 Westlink and in close proximity to the Falls Road) and in reference to its shape made from two spherical, metal structures.The RISE sculpture was designed by Wolfgang Buttress and consists of a geodesic sphere suspended inside a larger, 30 m (98 ft) diameter sphere, standing at an overall height of 37.5 m (123 ft). Geodesic refers to the shortest path between two points on a curve so that in the case of the RISE sculpture, adjacent connections on each of the spheres are connected using straight bars, thereby minimising the distance between two points. At 30m wide and 37.5m tall, RISE is the biggest public art sculpture in Belfast.RISE was commissioned by Belfast City Council and built in 2011 as part of a multimillion-pound road improvement programme. It now sits atop of the A12 Westlink Underpass (a grade-separated junction) where, according to a 2009 Northern Ireland Assembly report, sees approximately 80,000 cars on average flow past it each day.

Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich (An Chultúrlann) is an Irish language cultural centre in The Gaeltacht Quarter and is located on the Falls Road, Belfast. Opened in 1991, the centre underwent renovation in 2010 and was opened the following year by then Irish President Mary McAleese. The centre is home to an art gallery named after local artist Gerard Dillon, a theatre, restaurant, book shop, offices and conference rooms. In 2011, the centre was estimated to receive over 80,000 visitors per year.

An Ceathrú Póilí (English: The Fourth Policeman; founded 1983) is an independent bookshop based in Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich on the Falls Road in Belfast's Gaeltacht Quarter. The shop primarily sells Irish language books and Irish traditional music recordings and also sells several hundred English-language books on the topics of Irish history and politics. An Ceathrú Póilí also sells Irish musical instruments, Celtic jewelry and craft.
