Taşköprü, Yalova

Tavşanlı is a town (belde) in the Altınova District, Yalova Province, Turkey. Its population is 4,118 (2022). It is situated in the northern portion of Armutlu Peninsula. The distance to Altınova is 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) and to Yalova is 14 kilometres (8.7 mi). The ferry dock is only 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) to Tavşanlı and the picnik places around the town can easily by reached in daily tours from Istanbul. Fruit and vegetable farming as well as floriculture are the main sources of revenue of the town.

The district Darıca was created in 2008 from part of the district of Gebze, along with the districts Çayırova and Dilovası. The current mayor is Muzaffer Bıyık. Darıca takes its name from Darıca Castle which is situated in the centre of town and was constructed during the Roman period, between 297 BC and 74BC. Darıca exhibits the highest population density within the Kocaeli Province. In a contemporary context, the town plays host to an array of different cultures, however, prior to the 1920s, a vast majority of the population were of Greek, Orthodox origin.The town is located 38 km (24 mi) from Istanbul and sits 10 km (6.2 mi) from Sabiha Gokcen Airport, 50 km (31 mi) away from the Atatürk International Airport (which is used for cargo and general aviation flights), and 90 km (56 mi) from Istanbul Airport in Arnavutköy. Darıca is in close proximity to large-scale transit infrastructure including the D-100 highway and the Turkish State Railway station for Kocaeli. Further, the district contains numerous social areas, plays host to a number of festivals and hosts the Faruk Yalçın Zoo in the Marmara Region.

Gebze station (Turkish: Gebze garı) is a station on the Istanbul-Ankara railway in Gebze, Turkey. It is located between Plevne and Etem Paşa Avenues just southwest of Gebze's city center. It was the eastern terminus of the Haydarpaşa suburban commuter service until 2013 and in 2019 became the eastern terminus of the new Marmaray commuter rail line. Gebze was opened in 1873 as part of the Constantinople-Izmit railway, built by the Ottoman government. The Anatolian Railway (CFOA) took over the line in 1880 and continued to build further east from Izmit. The CFOA was nationalized in 1924 via the Anatolian-Baghdad Railway which was absorbed by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) in 1927. On 29 May 1969 commuter service to and from Haydarpaşa Terminal was inaugurated and the line was electrified up to Gebze. Gebze became one of the most used stations in Turkey during this period as many commuters used the line to get to Istanbul. Commuter service was ended in June 2013 in order to rebuild the station for the new Marmaray commuter rail line as well as the new Istanbul-Ankara high-speed railway. The station reopened on 29 October 2014 with YHT High-speed service to Ankara and Konya via Izmit and Eskişehir from Pendik. Marmaray service to Halkalı entered service on March 12, 2019. The 1969 station had two island platforms and four tracks. The rebuilt station has two island platforms and one side platforms with five tracks.

Subaşı is a town (belde) in the Altınova District, Yalova Province, Turkey. Its population is 8,281 (2022). It is close to Hersek Headland of Marmara Sea and has almost merged to Altınova to the east. The distance to Yalova is 12 kilometres (7.5 mi). The name of the village refers to subaşi, a title in the Ottoman bureaucracy and the residents of the town are mostly Turkish, Tatar and Gagauz migrants who left Dobrudzha and Deliorman area in Romania today Bulgaria around 1935. The settlement was declared a seat of township in 1992. It suffered severely in the 7.6 magnitude 1999 İzmit earthquake.

Darıca station (Turkish: Darıca istasyonu) is a station on the Marmaray commuter rail in Darıca, Turkey. It is a new station that has been added to the railway with the Marmaray project. Construction of the station started in 2013 and was structurally completed in 2014, along with the other eight stations located between Pendik and Gebze. Commuter rail service began on 13 March 2019.The station has two tracks with an island platform and one express track on the south side for high-speed and intercity trains.
