Potamoi (Ancient Greek: Ποταμοί) was a town of ancient Bithynia located on the road from Libyssa to Chalcedon on the north coast of the Sinus Astacenus, an arm of the Propontis. Its site is located east of Pendik, in Asiatic Turkey.

Osmangazi station (Turkish: Osmangazi istasyonu) is a station on the Marmaray commuter rail line in Gebze, Turkey. It was previously a station on the Haydarpaşa suburban until 2013, when commuter rail service was suspended. The original station was opened in 1954 with two side platforms and demolished in 2013. Construction of the new station started shortly after and was structurally completed in 2014, along with the other eight stations located between Pendik and Gebze. Commuter rail service resumed on 13 March 2019.The station has two tracks with an island platform and one express track on the south side for high-speed and intercity trains.

Gebze station (Turkish: Gebze garı) is a station on the Istanbul-Ankara railway in Gebze, Turkey. It is located between Plevne and Etem Paşa Avenues just southwest of Gebze's city center. It was the eastern terminus of the Haydarpaşa suburban commuter service until 2013 and in 2019 became the eastern terminus of the new Marmaray commuter rail line. Gebze was opened in 1873 as part of the Constantinople-Izmit railway, built by the Ottoman government. The Anatolian Railway (CFOA) took over the line in 1880 and continued to build further east from Izmit. The CFOA was nationalized in 1924 via the Anatolian-Baghdad Railway which was absorbed by the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) in 1927. On 29 May 1969 commuter service to and from Haydarpaşa Terminal was inaugurated and the line was electrified up to Gebze. Gebze became one of the most used stations in Turkey during this period as many commuters used the line to get to Istanbul. Commuter service was ended in June 2013 in order to rebuild the station for the new Marmaray commuter rail line as well as the new Istanbul-Ankara high-speed railway. The station reopened on 29 October 2014 with YHT High-speed service to Ankara and Konya via Izmit and Eskişehir from Pendik. Marmaray service to Halkalı entered service on March 12, 2019. The 1969 station had two island platforms and four tracks. The rebuilt station has two island platforms and one side platforms with five tracks.

Çayırova is a municipality and district of Kocaeli Province, Turkey. Its area is 23 km2, and its population is 150,792 (2022).The district Çayırova was created in 2008 from part of the district of Gebze, along with the districts Darıca and Dilovası. The mayor is Bünyamin Çi̇ftçi̇ (AKP).

Gebze Teknik Üniversitesi – Fatih station (Turkish: Gebze Teknik Üniversitesi - Fatih istasyonu) is a station on the Marmaray commuter rail line in Gebze, Turkey. The station, along with Çayırova, is situated inside the Gebze Technical University campus. Commuter rail service resumed on 13 March 2019.

Darıca (Greek: Δάριτζα, from the Byzantine τὰ Ῥίτζιον) is a municipality and district of Kocaeli Province, Turkey. Its area is 23 km2, and its population is 225,602 (2022). The district Darıca was created in 2008 from part of the district of Gebze, along with the districts Çayırova and Dilovası. The current mayor is Muzaffer Bıyık. Darıca takes its name from Darıca Castle which is situated in the centre of town and was constructed during the Roman period, between 297 BC and 74BC. Darıca exhibits the highest population density within the Kocaeli Province. In a contemporary context, the town plays host to an array of different cultures, however, prior to the 1920s, a vast majority of the population were of Greek, Orthodox origin.The town is located 38 km (24 mi) from Istanbul and sits 10 km (6.2 mi) from Sabiha Gokcen Airport, 50 km (31 mi) away from the Atatürk International Airport (which is used for cargo and general aviation flights), and 90 km (56 mi) from Istanbul Airport in Arnavutköy. Darıca is in close proximity to large-scale transit infrastructure including the D-100 highway and the Turkish State Railway station for Kocaeli. Further, the district contains numerous social areas, plays host to a number of festivals and hosts the Faruk Yalçın Zoo in the Marmara Region.

It is located in Çayırova on the highway D.100 at the Bayramoğlu exit, close to Sabiha Gökçen International Airport. Established by the Anadolu Foundation, the hospital was built on 186,000 m2 (2,000,000 sq ft) of land and opened on February 12, 2005. It consists of 209 beds, 59 intensive care beds and 8 operating rooms. The parking lot is capable of 350 cars. The medical center was initially established as a specialized cancer center but then it transformed into a multidisciplinary hospital. Anadolu is one of the most popular centers of bone marrow transplantation BMT in the Mediterranean,capable of performing up to 22 stem cell transplants simultaneously.It has ISO 9001–2000 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System), OHSAS 18001 (Work Health and Safety) and JCI (Joint Commission International) certifications. The hospital is affiliated with the Johns Hopkins Hospital in the United States through Johns Hopkins Medicine International.IMRT and Cyberknife are two of the latest technologies used in cancer treatment developed at the Anadolu Medical Center. Çayırova railway station (Turkish: Çayırova istasyonu) is a railway station in Çayırova, Turkey. It is one of two stations (the other being Fatih) located within the campus of the Gebze Technical University. The station was originally built in 1954 by the Turkish State Railways and between 1969 and 2013, it was a stop along the Haydarpaşa suburban. In 2013, the station was closed and subsequently demolished to make way for a new station and the widening of the railway. The Çayırova station was structurally completed in 2014, along with the other eight stations located between Pendik and Gebze; but due to delays with the project, the station is not served by any train. Commuter rail service resumed on 13 March 2019.The station has two tracks with an island platform and one express track on the south side for high-speed and intercity trains.
