Ephrata ( EF-rə-tə; Pennsylvania German: Effridaa) is a borough in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located 42 miles (68 km) east of Harrisburg and about 60 miles (97 km) west-northwest of Philadelphia and is named after Ephrath, the former name for current-day Bethlehem. In its early history, Ephrata was a pleasure resort and an agricultural community. Ephrata's population has steadily grown over the last century. In 1900, 2,452 people lived there, and by 1940, the population had increased to 6,199. The population was 13,818 at the 2020 census. Ephrata is the most populous borough in Lancaster County. Ephrata's sister city is Eberbach, Germany, the city where its founders originated.

Connell Mansion is a historic home located at Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It was built about 1860, and is a three-story, brick dwelling with a low hipped slate roof and octagonal cupola. It has a two-story, rear section with a one-story extension, both with gable roofs. Also on the property are a contributing carriage house and frame privy.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Keller's Mill Covered Bridge is a covered bridge that spans Cocalico Creek in Ephrata Township, Lancaster County in the US state of Pennsylvania. A county-owned and maintained bridge, its official designation is the Cocalico No. 5 Bridge. It is also sometimes known as Guy Bard Covered Bridge (after a local jurist) and Rettew's Covered Bridge (after the person that Rettew's Road is named).Due to heavy road traffic on the aging, one-lane bridge, construction on a new steel and concrete bridge to bypass the covered bridge occurred in the summer of 2006. According to Ephrata Township supervisor Clark Stauffer, the bridge has been disassembled and will be reassembled a few miles downstream to replace an existing one lane Middle Creek Road bridge. It was located at 40°10′11.4″N 76°12′16.8″W (40.16983, −76.20467) before being disassembled.

Mentzer Building is a historic commercial building located at Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1889, and is a three-story, brick building in the Queen Anne style. The building has housed school classrooms, barbershops, an electric supply store, meeting rooms, and retail clothing sales shops. The porch and entrance have been restored based on historical photographs. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It is located in the Ephrata Commercial Historic District.

The district includes 36 contributing buildings in the central business district of Ephrata. It has notable examples of the Queen Anne and Italianate architectural styles and buildings designed by noted Lancaster architect C. Emlen Urban. The oldest building dates to 1808 and is the Eagle Hotel. Other notable buildings include the I.G. Sprecher & Sons Hardware (1911), Richard Heitler House (1820), J.W. Yost Liquor Store (c. 1880), Ephrata Railroad Station (1887-1889), U.S. Post Office (1937), Ephrata National Bank (1925), and Grant and Wenger Feed Mill (1924). Located in the district is the separately listed Mentzer Building.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Eby Shoe Corporation, also known as Fleet-Air Corporation, is a historic factory building complex located at Ephrata, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The property includes three contributing buildings to the listing. Building "A" was built about 1900, and is a four-story, gable roofed brick building with a two-story flat roofed addition. Building "B" was built in 1919-1920, and is a three-story, gable roofed brick building measuring 48 feet wide and 115 feet deep. Building "C" was built in 1923, and is a four-story, steel frame building with a brick exterior. It measures 48 feet wide and 180 feet deep. The Eby Shoe Corporation closed in 1985.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The Mountain Springs Hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, at the corner of East Main Street and Spring Garden Street. It was originally built in 1848 as a summer resort, capitalizing on its natural spring water, and hosted a variety of high-profile guests including several Presidents. The resort lost its popularity in the early 20th century and fell into disrepair, but was eventually purchased and converted into the first hospital in the Ephrata area—serving from 1937 through 1949. It remained under private ownership and became dilapidated over the following decades, culminating in its complete closure in 1988 and the auctioning of its contents in 1991. The following decade was met with a variety of redevelopment proposals, and in the years around the turn of the 21st century it was decided that the property would be redeveloped with another hotel. The majority of the Mountain Springs Hotel was demolished in 2004, retaining a portion of the Konigmacher mansion. Today, a Hampton Inn hotel and Applebee's restaurant occupy the site alongside the restored building from the original Mountain Springs Hotel.

Peter and Catherine Reyer Farmhouse is a historic home located at Ephrata Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1792, and is a two-story, four bay by two bay, limestone Germanic dwelling. It was remodeled about 1875, into a Pennsylvania style farmhouse.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
