Aviva Stadium (also known as Lansdowne Road or Ireland's stadium; Irish: Staid Aviva) is a sports stadium located in Dublin, Ireland, with a capacity for 51,700 spectators (all seated). It is built on the site of the former Lansdowne Road Stadium, which was demolished in 2007, and replacing it as home to its chief tenants: the Irish rugby union team and the Republic of Ireland football team. The decision to redevelop the stadium came after plans for both Stadium Ireland and Eircom Park fell through. Aviva Group Ireland signed a 10-year deal for the naming rights in 2009.The stadium, located adjacent to Lansdowne Road railway station, officially opened on 14 May 2010. The stadium is Ireland's first, and only, UEFA Category 4 Stadium and in 2011, it hosted the Europa League final. It also hosted the inaugural Nations Cup, as well as the regular home fixtures of the national rugby team, national football team and some home fixtures for Leinster Rugby from August 2010 onwards. Unlike its predecessor, which was solely owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU), the current stadium is controlled by the IRFU and the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) through a 50:50 joint venture known as the Lansdowne Road Stadium Development Company (LRSDC). The joint venture has a 60-year lease on the stadium; on expiry the stadium will return to the exclusive ownership of the IRFU.

The New Bridge is a bridge over the River Dodder in Dublin, Ireland. It is also known as Herbert's Bridge or Lansdowne Bridge. The bridge is part of Lansdowne Road.

Newbridge Avenue (Irish: Ascaill an Droichid Nua) is a road in the Sandymount district of Dublin which links Herbert Road and Tritonville Road. In the novel Ulysses, the funeral of the character Paddy Dignam starts here at number 9 and continues on to Glasnevin Cemetery via Tritonville Road. The Dignams were said to live at number 9; the property was, in reality, vacant in 1904.Both this road and Herbert Road were built across land which once belonged to Haigs' distillery and so it used to be called Haig's Lane; the foundations of the Avenue were constructed with stone which originally came from the Dodderbank Distillery. The distillery fields at this location featured in the sensational murder of the Reverend George Wogan in 1826. A new stone bridge replaced the old wooden toll bridge in the mid-19th century, giving the road the name of "New Bridge Avenue." Construction of houses upon this land then took place in the 1860s.Due to the Irish property bubble of recent times, properties in this road have risen greatly in value and, in 2006, a house was sold for €2M.

The Lansdowne Road football riot occurred during a friendly football match between the Republic of Ireland and England in Lansdowne Road Stadium in Dublin, Ireland on 15 February 1995.

Lansdowne Road Stadium (Irish: Bóthar Lansdún, IPA: [ˈbˠoːhəɾˠ ˈl̪ˠan̪ˠsˠd̪ˠuːn̪ˠ]) was a stadium in Dublin owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) that was primarily used for rugby union and association football matches. The stadium was demolished in 2007 to make way for the Aviva Stadium on the same site, which opened in 2010. The stadium took its name from the adjacent street, Lansdowne Road.

Ringsend Public Library is an art deco style public library in Ringsend, Dublin designed by Robert Sorley Lawrie working in the city architect's office under Horace O'Rourke.This building was one of four similar libraries built by Dublin Corporation between 1935 and 1940 in the Dublin suburbs of Phibsborough, Ringsend, Drumcondra and Inchicore.

Irishtown (Irish: An Baile Gaelach) is an inner suburb of Dublin, Ireland. It is situated on the southside of the River Liffey, between Ringsend to the north and Sandymount to the south, and is to the east of the River Dodder.

Ringsend (Irish: An Rinn) is a southside inner suburb of Dublin, Ireland. It is located on the south bank of the River Liffey and east of the River Dodder, about two kilometres east of the city centre. It is the southern terminus of the East Link Toll Bridge. Areas included in Ringsend are the south side of the Dublin Docklands, and at the west end is the area of South Lotts and part of the Grand Canal Dock area. Neighbouring areas include Irishtown, Sandymount and the Beggars Bush part of Ballsbridge to the south, and the city centre to the west. A key feature of the area is the chimneys of Poolbeg power station. Formerly the point where ships arriving from across the Irish Sea would dock, Ringsend went into decline in the 19th and 20th centuries, when the shipping moved to other locations, although there is still some container shipping.

Sandymount High School was a coeducational secondary school on Herbert Road, Sandymount, Dublin 4 which operated for over 50 years before closing in 1999.

Sandymount Hotel (formerly Mount Herbert Hotel) is a 4 star hotel in Dublin, Ireland, sited on the old Haig's Distillery. The hotel consists of 8 interconnected Victorian houses which were originally constructed in 1866 and built with bricks from the old distillery.
