Kværndrup is a town located on the island of Funen in south Denmark, in Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality.

State Prison in Ringe was built in 1976 and is a closed prison near the town of Ringe in the country of Denmark. The prison's seven departments have a total capacity of 86 and receives both men and women from across the country from the age of 23 years to the age 29 years who must endure punishment in a closed prison. State Prison in Ringe is also the only closed prison in Denmark, which has a large outdoor area for each department, which prisoners are free to use whenever they want. The male inmates are mostly convicted for violence and robbery, while the female inmates are often convicted of drug trafficking.

Stenstrup is a town located on the island of Funen in south-central Denmark, in Svendborg Municipality.

The Midtfyns Festival is a famous rock festival in Ringe, Denmark. It was closed before the 2004 festival started, due to declining ticket sales. In 2005 Henrik Malmkjær acquired the rights for the festival, planning to revive it in 2006. The plan failed but new actors are now trying to start up the old spirit again. The new Midtfyns Festival was held in 2019. This time the festival will mainly focus on the locals and upcoming artists. In 2020, the festival was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.In the festival's heyday it was competing with Roskilde Festival to be the biggest music event in Northern Europe. Musicians like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Whitesnake also performed at Midtfyns.

Ringe is a town with a population of 6,607 (1 January 2023) on Funen in central Denmark. It is the seat of Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality and was the seat of the now abolished Ringe municipality. The main office of Rynkeby Foods, a major Danish producer of juice and squash, is located in Ringe.

Svendborgbanen is the railway line between Odense and Svendborg, inaugurated on 12 July 1876. The line was established by Sydfyenske Jernbaner, and taken over by DSB on 1 April 1949. Since 13 December 2020, the line has been managed by Arriva, a private multinational company.During the daytime, two trains each hour drive the stretch between Odense and Svendborg in both directions that do not stop at all stations (only one train in the evening hours). Additionally, a train drives between Odense and Ringe once an hour, during day and evening hours, in both directions that stop at all stations.

Until 1 January 2007, Egebjerg municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Funen County on the south coast of the island of Funen in south-central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 124 km², and had a total population of 8,792 (2005). The last mayor of the municipality was Mogens Johansen. Its main city and the site of its municipal council was Vester Skerninge. Egebjerg municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Svendborg and Gudme municipalities to form the new Svendborg municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 418 km² and a total population of 58,354 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region of Southern Denmark.

Hundstrup is a small town located on the island of Funen in south-central Denmark, in Svendborg Municipality. It is four kilometers north of Vester Skerninge and 14 kilometers northwest of Svendborg. The apple variety, Filippa originated in Hundstrup.

Until 1 January 2007 Ryslinge municipality was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in the former Funen County on the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality covered an area of 82 km2, and had a total population of 6,924 (2005). Its last mayor was Gunnar Landtved, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. The main town and the site of its municipal council was the town of Ryslinge. The municipality was created in 1970 as the result of a kommunalreform ("Municipality Reform") that merged a number of existing parishes: Gislev Parish (Gudme Herred) Kværndrup Parish (Sunds Herred) Ryslinge Parish (Gudme Herred)Ryslinge municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Broby, Faaborg, Ringe, and Årslev municipalities to form the new Faaborg-Midtfyn municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 638 km2 and a total population of 51,144 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region of Southern Denmark.
