The St. Clair Energy Centre is a natural gas power station in St. Clair, Ontario. The facility is owned by St Clair Power LP, a joint venture between Invenergy and the hedge fund Stark Investments, and operated by Invenergy Services Canada.The plant was built in response to the Government of Ontario's 2004 initiative to produce lower-emission electricity, and has a 20-year contract from the Ontario Power Authority to provide electricity to the provincial power grid. The plant was partially built from equipment originally intended four-unit CCGT in Nelson Township, IL.

Corunna is an unincorporated community in St. Clair Township, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada. The site of the community was surveyed by William Beresford in 1823. The community is located approximately 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) south of Sarnia. The community experienced a significant population boom between the 1830s and 1850s, mainly attributed to Scotch-Irish immigration. The community serves as the location of Chemical Valley, a major petrochemical and plastics manufacturing facility.

Stag Island is a private Canadian island located in the St. Clair River between Corunna, Ontario and Marysville, Michigan. The island currently houses over 100 cottages owned by both American and Canadian citizens. A ferry service is run from Corunna to the island by the Stag Island Auxiliary Club.

Mooretown is a community in the Township of St. Clair, Ontario, Canada, located on the east bank of the St. Clair River. It was first established as Sutherland's Landing.Mooretown gained in prosperity during the 19th century as a port of call for sail born vessels requiring assistance to pass "The Rapids" where steamboats driven by cord wood stacked on Mooretown's piers could be towed up river into Lake Huron. The original Scottish settlers established a church at Sutherland's Landing (now between Mooretown and Courtright) which was then moved to Mooretown in the 1860s when the oak logs of the original structure rotted out. The 1860s structure was struck by lightning in 1918 having been built of local timber with a copper clad steeple known to mariners as a navigation point. The 1919 replacement structure is now on the Moore Museum's grounds having been preserved by artist Christine Anne Wingfield-Brandon. The structure retains the steeple bell from the original Sutherland's Landing Church.Mooretown served as a regional center for salt mining and oil refining before these industries move to neighboring communities. In the 19th century Mooretown was a regional seat with a considerable population with hotels and a municipal seat, it exists today as a quiet and distinctive community.

Sarnia Regional Cogeneration Plant is a natural gas power station owned by TransAlta Energy, in Sarnia, Ontario. The plant is primarily used to supply steam to Arlanxeo, Styrolution, Suncor and Nova Chemicals and power onto the Ontario Grid.

Sarnia Photovoltaic Power Plant near Sarnia, Ontario, is Canada's largest photovoltaic plant with an installed capacity of 97 MWP (80 MWAC).In 2009, Ontario introduced a feed-in tariff renewable energy payments program paying up to CDN 44.3 cents per kW·h for large ground arrays such as the Sarnia plant. This makes Ontario's one of the top feed in tariff programs in the world. Phase I (for 20 MW) was completed in December 2009. Phase II (60 MW) was completed in September 2010 at a cost of C$300 million. The project was developed by Enbridge.First Solar developed, engineered, and constructed the facility, and it will operate the Sarnia Solar Project for Enbridge under a long-term contract. Enbridge will sell the power output of the facility to the Ontario Power Authority pursuant to 20-year power purchase agreements under the terms of the Ontario government's Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program. The plant covers 450 hectares (1,100 acres) and contains about 257 ha (635 acres) of modules, which is about 1.3 million thin-film panels. At the completion of Phase II it was the largest solar power station in the world, a title it held until the 2011 opening of Huanghe Hydropower Golmud Solar Park in China. The expected annual energy yield is about 120,000 MW·h, which if produced in a coal-fired plant, would require emission of 39,000 tonnes of CO2.

Sarnia station (also Sarnia Tunnel Station) is a Via Rail train station in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. It is the western terminus for Via Rail trains running from Toronto through southwestern Ontario. The unstaffed station is wheelchair accessible. The station includes vending machines, washrooms, a pay phone, and a medium-sized waiting area. Train 84 leaves daily from Sarnia at 08:40, and returns as train 87 at 22:20.The International Limited was operated jointly by Via Rail and Amtrak between Chicago and Toronto. The service, which had ended in 1971 by CN Rail, was restarted in 1982 and discontinued again in 2004 due to border delays and post-9/11.Sarnia Transit Route 1 Confederation will service the railway station on request and the connection to Amtrak Blue Water route can be made from cross border taxis between Sarnia and Port Huron. The Gothic Revival station was built in 1891 by the Grand Trunk Railway (and designed by engineer Joseph Hobson) and later acquired by VIA Rail through CN Rail.

The Marysville Power Plant, nicknamed the Mighty Marysville, was a coal-fired power plant in Marysville, Michigan on the shore of the St. Clair River. The plant was demolished on November 7, 2015, after the land was sold to a developer.

Courtright is an unincorporated community in St. Clair Township, Lambton County, Ontario, Canada. It is located on the St. Clair River, south of Sarnia. It was incorporated as a village on June 25, 1907, and disincorporated in 1974.

The St. Clair Tunnel is the name for two separate rail tunnels which were built under the St. Clair River between Sarnia, Ontario and Port Huron, Michigan. The original, opened in 1891 and used until it was replaced by a new larger tunnel in 1995, was the first full-size subaqueous tunnel built in North America. (By full-size it is meant that it allowed a railroad to run through it.) It is a National Historic Landmark of the United States, and has been designated a civil engineering landmark by both US and Canadian engineering bodies.

Marysville High School is a public high school in Marysville, Michigan. The school building was constructed in 2010. The previous school, which stood one block west, was in service from 1942 until its demolition in 2010. The high school has an enrollment of 811, and is a class B school. Marysville High School is in the Macomb Area Conference of the Michigan High School Athletic Association. Its mascot is the Viking, and its colors are navy blue and white with silver accents.
