Forry House

The York Meetinghouse is an historic, American Quaker meeting house that is located at 135 West Philadelphia Street in York, York County, Pennsylvania. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

The York Time Institute is a school in York, Pennsylvania providing instruction in the conservation, restoration, and repair of traditional and modern time-keeping devices. It was founded in 2008 by Daniel Nied, former Director of the School of Horology of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors. The school is housed in a 19th-century building that also housed two different watchmakers in its 150-year history.

Farmers Market, more commonly called Penn Market and also known as York Farmers' Market or Market & Penn Street Farmers' Market, is a historic public market located in York, Pennsylvania. It was built in 1876 and expanded about 1890. The original section is a simple 60 feet wide and 80 feet long gable roofed brick building. A 40 foot wide rectangular section was added in the expansion and the two sections were joined under a single, moderately pitched gable roof. With the expansion, a five bay wide false front was added to unify the building. The front facade features two ornamental circular windows. Attached to the main building are three auxiliary buildings including a Queen Anne style stable.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

The Barnett Bobb House, also known as the Old Log House, is a historic building in downtown York, Pennsylvania, York County, Pennsylvania. It was originally located at the intersection of Pershing and College Avenues. In 1968, it was moved to its current location and restored. It is on the same site as the General Horatio Gates House and Golden Plough Tavern. It was built in 1811, and is a two-story log dwelling with dovetailed corners. It houses a museum operated by the York County Heritage Trust that showcases family life during the 1830s. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

According to the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center, 81.1% of the district's pupils lived at 185% or below the Federal Poverty level as shown by their eligibility for the federal free or reduced-price school meal programs in 2012.

The Murals of York, Pennsylvania are a series of murals painted on the sides of buildings in York, Pennsylvania between 1996 and 2002. Paid for with local donations, the murals provide the community with details about some lesser-known people, businesses, and customs of the city while adding artistic beauty. The York County History Center owns and shares rights to the use of the mural images.

The district includes 101 contributing buildings and 1 contributing site in a residential area of York. The neighborhood was developed between 1889 and about 1915, and includes notable examples of the Queen Anne and Second Empire styles.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Smyser-Bair House is a Victorian building and contributing property of the York Historic District in York, Pennsylvania. The house was built in the 1830s as a private home and was purchased by Henry Smyser in the mid 19th century. Smyser-Bair House was owned by the Smyser-Bair family from the mid 19th century to 1979. The house was acquired by the Historical Society of York in 1979. It is part of the York Historical Walking Tour.

Founded in 1741, York served as the temporary base for the Continental Congress from September 1777 to June 1778, during which the Articles of Confederation were drafted. It is the largest city in the York–Hanover metropolitan area, which is also included in the larger Harrisburg–York–Lebanon combined statistical area of the Susquehanna Valley.
