Adana (Turkish pronunciation: [aˈda.na] ; Armenian: Ադանա; Greek: Άδανα) is a large city in southern Turkey. It is situated on the Seyhan River, 35 km (22 mi) inland from the Mediterranean Sea. The administrative seat of Adana province, which had a population of 2.274 million according to the official end-2022 estimates, the city itself had a population of 1,779,463 at that date, making it the fifth most populous city in Turkey. Adana lies in the heart of Cilicia, which was once one of the most important regions of the classical world. Home to six million people, Cilicia is an important agricultural area, owing to the large fertile plain of Çukurova. Twenty-first century Adana is a centre for regional trade, healthcare, and public and private services. Agriculture and logistics are important parts of the economy. Adana Şakirpaşa Airport is close to the city centre, and the town is connected to Tarsus and Mersin by TCDD train.

Kurtuluş (Turkish pronunciation: [kuɾtulush]) is a neighbourhood (mahalle) in the municipality and district of Seyhan, Adana Province, Turkey. Its population is 11,444 (2022). The neighborhood is part of the downtown of Adana, situated south of the railway lines and east of the Adana Metro line.

Seyhan Cultural Center (Turkish: Seyhan Kültür Merkezi), is a complex in Adana that is composed of two theatre halls, a conference hall and three exhibition halls. The center is located next to the Seyhan Municipality Hall, on D400 State Road. On March 1, 2015, the cultural center is renamed 'Yaşar Kemal Kültür Merkezi' after the death of the legendary author Yaşar Kemal.

Adana Metropolitan Theatre (Turkish: Büyükşehir Tiyatro Salonu) is a theatre hall in the Reşatbey neighborhood of the city of Adana. It is the oldest living theatre hall of the city, and currently the most active; hosting numerous theatre performances, concerts and conferences.

İstiklal is a historical neighbourhood (mahalle) in the municipality and district of Seyhan, Adana Province, Turkey. Its population is 6,137 (2022). The neighbourhood is part of the downtown of Adana, situated south of the D400 state road and east of the Adana Metro line. İstiklal neighborhood developed west of the Adana's first Central train station that opened in 1886. Several factories, hotels and luxury mansions built rapidly around the station from 1880s to 1910s.

Reşatbey (Turkish pronunciation: [ɾeʃatbej]) is a neighbourhood (mahalle) in the municipality and district of Seyhan, Adana Province, Turkey. Its population is 11,751 (2022). The neighbourhood is part of the downtown, situated north of the D400 state road and west of the Seyhan River.

Kuruköprü Monumental Church (Turkish: Kuruköprü Anıt Kilisesi), is the former Agios Nikolaos Greek Orthodox Church located in the Kuruköprü area of the city of Adana. The church now serves as a historical site for touristic visits.Agios Nikolaos Greek Orthodox Church was built in 1845 by the Greek community of the city. It was in service until 1910s and was abandoned after the departure of the community in the Greco-Turkish population exchange. The church was converted into Archaeology Museum in 1950. After the move of the Archaeology Museum to a new location, the former church was occupied by the newly formed Ethnography Museum in 1983. The church is restored to its origin in 2015 and renamed Kuruköprü Monumental Church.

Adana station (Turkish: Adana garı) is a railway station in Adana and one of the major railway hubs in Turkey. The station is located at the İstasyon Square, in Kurtuluş, Seyhan. The Central Station is steps away from the Vilayet Metro station and the Adana Province Hall. It surrounds the İstasyon Square together with the Central Post Office, Türk Telekom and TCDD Regional Headquarters.

The Adana 5 Ocak Fatih Terim Stadium (Turkish: Adana 5 Ocak Stadı) was a multi-purpose stadium in Adana, Turkey. It was opened in 1938, together with the Menderes Sports Hall and Gençlik Stadium as a sports complex, at the new neighborhood of Reşatbey. The stadium holds 16,095, with a large East and West stands and much smaller North and South stands. It abided UEFA standards for hosting Europa League games and TFF standards for hosting Super Lig games. The stadium was demolished in late 2021. The stadium was used mostly for football matches, in which it used to be the home ground of Adana Demirspor and Adanaspor until the inauguration of New Adana Stadium in 2021. It hosted all the Adana derby games from 1956 to 2021.National football team of Turkey also played games at this stadium. It was also the venue for the celebrations of national days and public concerts.

Adana İdman Yurdu (Turkish: Adana İdmanyurdu Kadın Futbol Takımı) was a women's association football team based in Adana, Turkey. The club was merged with Adana Demirspor in August 2022 and the women's football department formed the Adana Demirspor's women football department. The team played in the Turkish Women's Football Super League.

Adana American College for Girls was a prominent high school in Adana, Turkey that served from 1880 to 1927. Founded by the American missionary, protestant teachings of the school mostly attracted students from the Armenian community of the city. Adana American College was one of the many missionary schools that were founded during the late 19th century in the Ottoman Empire.

St. Paul Church, alternatively known as the Bebekli Kilise, is a Roman Catholic Church in Adana. The church was built as an Armenian Apostolic Church in 1870, and handed over to the Apostolic Vicariate of Anatolia in 1915, after the Ottoman deportation of the city's large Armenian community over the course of Armenian genocide. St. Paul Church is located close to the 5 Ocak Square, off the Cemal Gürsel Street. The 2.5 meter high bronze statue of Mary resembled a baby to the people walking by and the church became known as the "Church with Baby" (Bebekli Kilise).The church currently serves to the Catholic community of Adana. The garden of the church is converted into a car parking to raise income for the church.
