Schiff Nature Preserve

The Mortimer L. Schiff Scout Reservation, located in northern New Jersey, was a major Boy Scout training facility for almost 50 years. It was named after Mortimer L. Schiff, the father of John M. Schiff; both of whom were World Scout Committee members and notable early Boy Scouts of America (BSA) leaders.

The Assumption College for Sisters is a private two-year Roman Catholic women's college formerly located in Mendham Borough, New Jersey. Founded in 1953 through an affiliation with nearby Seton Hall University, Assumption is run by the Sisters of Christian Charity. It is the last remaining sisters' college, or college primarily designed to educate religious sisters, located in the United States. Since 2014, Assumption has shared a campus with Morris Catholic High School in Denville Township, New Jersey.

The Mendham Borough Schools are a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade from Mendham Borough, in Morris County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2020–21 school year, the district, comprised of two schools, had an enrollment of 485 students and 53.4 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 9.1:1.Students in public school for ninth through twelfth grades attend West Morris Mendham High School, which is located in Mendham Borough and serves students from Chester Borough, Chester Township, Mendham Borough and Mendham Township. West Morris Mendham High School (also known as Mendham High School) is home of the Minutemen, and is a four-year comprehensive regional public high school that serves students in ninth though twelfth grades as part of the West Morris Regional High School District. Established in 1970, the school is located in the heart of Mendham Borough, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Students who attend the school come from the Morris County municipalities of Chester Borough, Chester Township, Mendham Borough and Mendham Township (including the areas of Brookside and Ralston).As of the 2021–22 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,106 students and 94.0 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 11.8:1. There were 15 students (1.4% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and none eligible for reduced-cost lunch.Its sister school, West Morris Central High School, is located in Washington Township. Students from Washington Township attend West Morris Central. The two schools maintain an athletic rivalry, which has survived decades of conference and schedule changes for all sports. Mount Olive High School was broken off from the original three-school district in 1977.Mendham was certified to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma in January 1998. Blairsden is a historic 62,000-square-foot (5,800 m2), 38-room mansion located in Peapack-Gladstone, New Jersey. Set high on a hilltop overlooking Ravine Lake, the mansion is part of what was originally an estate of 550 acres (2,200,000 m2). In addition to its 38 rooms, the mansion has 25 fireplaces and 19 bathrooms.

The North Branch Raritan River is a tributary of the Raritan River in central New Jersey.The North Branch Raritan River rises in Morris County, in eastern Mendham Borough rising out of Raritan Pond, and flows generally southward into Somerset County, around the southern end of the Watchung Mountains. At its end, it forms the border between Bridgewater and Branchburg Townships, and upon reaching the border of Hillsborough Township, joins the South Branch Raritan River to form the main Raritan River, which generally flows eastward from that point. This area where the branches converge was called "Tucca-Ramma-Hacking" by the Lenape, meaning the flowing together of water. It was called "Two Bridges" by the early European settlers, after a set of bridges built in 1733 that met at a small island (the island has washed away over time) on the North Branch. Today the area is generally referred to as "The Confluence". In the 1970s, the state discussed plans for a Raritan Confluence Reservoir, which have been shelved due to acquisition costs.Both North and South branches of the Raritan run nearly parallel southwards, east and west of one another, but receive their names from the direction each one flows from at their confluence.

Bernardsville () is the northernmost borough in Somerset County, in the U.S. state of New Jersey. Situated in the heart of the Raritan Valley region, the borough is part of the Somerset Hills. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 7,893, an increase of 186 (+2.4%) from the 2010 census count of 7,707, which in turn reflected an increase of 362 (+4.9%) from the 7,345 counted in the 2000 census. The General Nathan Cooper Mansion is a historic house in Chester Township, Morris County, New Jersey and was the home of Nathan A. Cooper (1802–1879). It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on November 21, 1976 for its significance in architecture and military/political history.

Peapack-Gladstone (also written as Peapack and Gladstone) is a borough in the Somerset Hills region of northern Somerset County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. As of the 2020 United States census, the borough's population was 2,558, a decrease of 24 (−0.9%) from the 2010 census count of 2,582, which in turn reflected an increase of 149 (+6.1%) from the 2,433 counted in the 2000 census.Peapack-Gladstone was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 28, 1912, from portions of Bedminster, subject to the results of a referendum held on April 23, 1912.
