Dadong is a subdistrict of the Yuexiu District in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, southern China.

Martyrs' Park Station (simplified Chinese: 烈士陵园站; traditional Chinese: 烈士陵園站; Jyutping: lit6 si6 ling4 jyun4 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Lihtsih Lìhng'yùhn Jaahm) is a station on Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro that started operations on 28 June 1997. It is located at the under the junction of Zhongshan 3rd Road and Jiaochang Road East (较场东路) in the Yuexiu District of Guangzhou. It is named "Martyrs' Park Station" because of the nearby Guangzhou Martyrs' Memorial Garden or Guangzhou Martyrs' Memorial Cemetery (广州起义烈士陵园), a park dedicated to those who fought and died in the 1927 Guangzhou Uprising by the Chinese communists against the Kuomintang.

The Guangdong Provincial People's Stadium (Chinese: 广东省人民体育场) is a multi-purpose stadium in Guangzhou, China. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium holds 15,000 people. The stadium is best reached by taking Guangzhou Metro Line 1 to Martyrs' Park Station.

Guangzhou Martyrs' Memorial Garden is a park located in Zhongshan 3rd Road, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China that commemorates the death of the Chinese Communist party in the Guangzhou Uprising against the Kuomintang on December 11, 1927.

It means 'Provincial Experimental (school)', which abbreviates Guangdong Experimental High School. If unspecified, Guangdong Experimental High School refers to the senior high campus in Fangcun.

Post & Telecommunication Hub (also known as Guangdong Telecom Plaza) is a 68-storey, 260 m (850 ft) skyscraper in Guangzhou, China. The building was completed in 2003.

Peasant Movement Institute Station (simplified Chinese: 农讲所站; traditional Chinese: 農講所站; Jyutping: nung4 gong2 so2 zaam6; Cantonese Yale: Nùhnggóngsó Jaahm) is a station of Line 1 of the Guangzhou Metro. It started operations on 28 June 1997. It is located at the underground of the junction of Zhongshan 4th Road and Dezheng Road in Yuexiu District. Its name is from nearby the former site of Guangzhou Peasant Movement Institute, an institute established by the Chinese Communist Party to train youngsters for the peasants' revolutionary movement.

The Dafo Temple (Chinese: 大佛寺; pinyin: Dàfó Sì; literally Grand Buddha Temple) is a Buddhist temple in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Located in Yuexiu District, Dafo Temple is a grand temple with a history of more than one thousand years and was built by Emperor Liu Yan in the Southern Han dynasty (917–971). It has been praised as one of the "Five Largest Temples of Guangzhou" in history. Later it was destroyed and rebuilt many times. In the late Ming dynasty, the temple was declining day by day and was devastated by the war while Shang Kexi and Geng Jimao conquered Guangdong in 1649. During the reign of the Kangxi Emperor in 1663, the temple was rebuilt and expanded by Shang Kexi continuously. According to the national policy of free religious belief, the temple was approved by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government to be restored as a Buddhist temple in 1981. Then Master Guangming, vice-president of the Guangzhou Buddhist Association, served as abbot; he tried to revitalize Dafo Temple and restore the style of the large temple. On August 9, 1993, Dafo Temple was put on the list as a Municipality Protected Historic Site by the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government.

Dongshan District (Chinese: 东山区; Wade–Giles: Tung1shan1 Chʻü1; Jyutping: dung1 saan1 keoi1) was a former district in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China located to the west of Tianhe District and the east of Yuexiu District. It was the political and cultural centre of Guangdong Province and noted for its high-quality education. The district was established in 1960, then merged with Yuexiu District in 2005.

Guangzhou Zhixin High School (广州市执信中学), located in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou (Canton), was founded in 1921 by Sun Yat-sen in memory of his comrade, the democratic fighter Zhu Zhixin, who was killed in action in a battle at Humen, Dongguan, at the age of 35. In the school campus, a symbolic tomb was built for Zhu. In 1936, the remains of Zhu were relocated to the campus because of a termite problem at the original site. Since its establishment, the school has been one of the most prestigious high schools in the country and had seen the graduation of many outstanding alumni over the years. Many famous visitors have come to campus. In the early twentieth century, Zhixin High School became one of the 37 key high schools in China. In 1994, it was graded as a First Level School of Guangdong Province. It is currently evaluated as a National Level Demonstrative School.
