Warren, Michigan

Warren Township is a former civil township of Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. Most of the township became the city of Warren.

Center Line High School is a public high school located in Center Line, Michigan. It is part of Center Line Public Schools. Center Line High School serves students living in Warren and Center Line, but is open to students living outside of the district through the Michigan School of Choice program. The school colors are orange and black and the mascot is the panther. Center Line High School employs an academy model that exposes students to a multitude of careers, industry skills, and potential employers through classroom instruction, guest speakers, site visits, job shadowing, and internships. Center Line High School offers students AP classes and dual enrollment into the Early College of Macomb program at Macomb Community College, the Macomb Mathematics, Science, and Technology Center program of Warren Consolidated Schools, or the International Academy of Macomb. Center Line High School is a member of the Southwest Macomb Technical Education Consortium (SMTEC) partnership with Fitzgerald High School, Lincoln High School, and Warren Woods Tower High School. Students may opt to take career technical education classes at the SMTEC partner schools and students from the SMTEC partner schools may take career technical education classes at Center Line High School.

Center Line is a city in Macomb County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An inner-ring suburb of Detroit, Center Line is located roughly 11 miles (17.7 km) north of downtown Detroit, and is completely surrounded by the larger city of Warren. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 8,552.

The United States Army DEVCOM Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) (formerly United States Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC)), located in Warren, Michigan, is the United States Armed Forces' research and development facility for advanced technology in ground systems. It is part of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Futures Command. GVSC shares its facilities with the United States Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM). Current technology focus areas include Ground Vehicle Power and Mobility (GVPM), Ground System Survivability and Force Protection, among others.

Detroit Arsenal (DTA), formerly Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant (DATP) was the first manufacturing plant ever built for the mass production of tanks in the United States. Established in 1940 under Chrysler, the plant was owned by the U.S. government until 1996. It was designed by architect Albert Kahn. The building was designed originally as a "dual production facility", so that it could make armaments and be turned into peaceful production at war's end. Notwithstanding its name, the 113-acre (0.46 km2) site was located in Warren, Michigan, Detroit's most populous suburb.

The GM Technical Center was inaugurated in 1956 as General Motors's primary design and engineering center, located in Warren, Michigan. In 2000 the center was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and fourteen years later it was designated a National Historic Landmark, primarily for its architecture.

Paul K. Cousino Senior High School is a public secondary school located in Warren, Michigan. It lies on Hoover Road, just south of 13 Mile Road. Part of the Warren Consolidated Schools district, it serves the north Warren area and parts of southern Sterling Heights.Cousino High School opened in 1962. It is one of three high schools in the Warren Consolidated Schools (WCS) district. The current principal is Andre Buford.

WPHS (89.1 FM) is a radio station owned and operated by Warren Consolidated Schools, in Warren, Michigan, United States. WPHS was originally broadcast on 91.5 FM with 10 watts; WPHS now operates with 100 watts on 89.1 FM. The radio station's first broadcast was on March 24, 1964. The founding station manager and teacher was Charles Lampinen who retired in 1989. Jennifer Stanczyk took over for Lampinen in 1989 but was moved out of the radio program as part of budget cuts that took effect during the 2009–2010 school year. Stanczyk eventually retired from teaching as a whole following the 2018–2019 school year. Operations Manager Jeremy Olstyn currently runs the station. Most of the shows on the station during the school year are student-produced, typically in the College Rock genre, with a slight mixture of electronica. Live shows are produced during scheduled classes, while recorded specialty shows (that diverge from College Rock) are recorded on take home studio kits, with recorded programs running the following evening. Formerly, on the weekends, the station played classical music received via C-Band satellite, the feed originating from WCPE in North Carolina. The station also broadcasts live high school sporting events, school board meetings, or other special events. Student shows are also featured on the station. Every year WPHS runs a 'radio marathon', where students broadcast 24 hours a day for several days as a fundraiser. Generally, the funds raised are used to improve the station's equipment.

Lincoln High School is a public high school located in Warren, Michigan, United States. It is the only high school in Van Dyke Public Schools, which serves portions of Warren and a small section of Center Line. In the 2009–2010 school year, it had about 920 enrolled students and in the 2015–2016 school year it had 702 students with a ratio of 17.89 students to a teacher.

Warren Transmission was a General Motors automotive factory in Warren, Michigan, that manufactured propulsion transmissions. It was located at 23500 Mound Road and opened in 1941 as a Navy ordnance plant, built and operated by the Hudson Motor Car Company, predecessor of American Motors Corporation.As of 2006, the factory employed 1,200 people. The company announced on June 1, 2006, that it would spend $332 million to expand production at Warren. On April 5, 2010, GM announced it was adding 100 jobs to the Warren Transmission plant.On May 31, 2017, Warren Transmission announced that the second shift would be eliminated starting June 26, 2017. On November 26, 2018, GM announced that the plant would be closed in 2019.On March 20, 2020, at the height of the COVID-19 outbreak, GM announced that it would repurpose the former Warren Transmission factory for the production of face masks in order to help protect workers in essential services across the United States. On March 27, 2020, GM began production with first deliveries on April 8, 2020.In December 2021, GM would sell the 117-acre (470,000 m2) property to Northpoint Development for an undisclosed price. In January 2022, it was announced that the plant would be demolished and redeveloped.

The Warren Stamping Plant is a Stellantis North America automotive factory in Warren, Michigan that produces auto parts for Chrysler vehicles. The factory was completed in 1948 and began production in 1949. The nearby Chrysler facilities are the Warren Truck Assembly and the Mack Engine Complex. The Mound Road Engine plant closed in the early 2000s; the site is now a vehicle storage lot. There also was once the nearby "Sherwood Assembly" that closed in the late 1970s when Chrysler halted production of the Dodge Medium and Heavy Duty trucks and exited the market. Sherwood Assembly has since been torn down. The facility was built in 1948 and started production in 1949. Further expansions of the plant came in 1952, 1964, 1965 and 1986.

Warren Truck Assembly is a Stellantis automobile factory in Warren, Michigan.
