The Embassy of France in Washington, D.C., is the French diplomatic mission to the United States. It is located at 4101 Reservoir Road, Northwest, Washington, D.C., just north of Georgetown University. The embassy opened in 1984. With some 400 staffers, it is France's largest foreign embassy. The embassy represents the interests of France and French citizens in the United States and conducts the majority of diplomatic work on such interests within the U.S. In September 2021, Ambassador Philippe Étienne was recalled to France. The measure was unprecedented; in almost 250 years of diplomatic relations, France had never before recalled its US ambassadorship. The Biden administration tried to placate French anger.

MedStar Georgetown University Hospital is one of the Washington, D.C. area's oldest academic teaching hospitals. It is a not-for-profit, acute care teaching and research facility located in the Georgetown neighborhood of the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, D.C. MedStar Georgetown is co-located with the Georgetown University Medical Center and is affiliated with the Georgetown University School of Medicine. MedStar Georgetown is home to the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, as well as centers of excellence in the neurology, neurosurgery, psychiatry, gastroenterology, transplant and vascular surgery. Originally named Georgetown University Hospital, it became part of the MedStar Health network in 2000. The Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center is a cancer center located on the medical campus of Georgetown University in Washington, DC. It is one of four components of the Georgetown University Medical Center and is affiliated with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. Additionally, it partners with MedStar Health for regional patient care. It is named in honor of Vince Lombardi, who was treated for cancer at Georgetown University Hospital.Georgetown Lombardi was established in 1970 and received its initial National Cancer Institute designation in 1974. It was designated a Comprehensive Cancer Center, the highest level of certification for cancer centers, in 1990.

Georgetown University School of Nursing is one of the eleven schools of Georgetown University. Founded in 1903 as the School of Nursing, it added three other health related majors in 1999 and appended its name to become the School of Nursing & Health Studies. In 2022, the school returned to the name School of Nursing, as the School of Health was divided from it. The school has been at the forefront of education in the health care field, offering many programs unique to America's elite institutions. Offering undergraduate and graduate programs in the health sciences, graduates are prepared to enter the complex fields of medicine, law, health policy, and nursing. The School of Nursing is made up of the Department of Health Systems Administration, the Department of Human Science, the Department of International Health, and the Department of Nursing.The Department of Human Science completed the Discovery Center in 2006. The Discovery Center includes a Basic Health Science Teaching Laboratory, a Molecular and Cell Biology Research Laboratory, a Cell Culture Room, a Preparation and Instrument Room, and a Zeiss Axiovert 200 microscope. In 2011, the Department of Nursing launched an online nursing initiative at the graduate level. The online initiative builds upon Georgetown's on-campus graduate nursing program and is the university's first-ever online degree-granting program.The School of Nursing is home to GUS - Georgetown University Simulator - a full-body, robotic mannequin that can realistically replicate physiological conditions and symptoms and pharmacological responses. The simulator is within the O'Neill Family Foundation Clinical Simulation Center, which includes adult patient simulators, a pediatric patient simulator, five primary care offices, and two hospital units. The Simulation Center is used extensively for clinical education by undergraduate and graduate level nursing programs, as well as by undergraduates in the Department of Human Science. Several graduate programs within the School of Nursing were ranked in the 2012 "America's Best Graduate Schools" edition of U.S. News & World Report. The Nurse Anesthesia Program was ranked 17th, the Healthcare Management Program was ranked 29th, the Nurse Midwifery Program was ranked 19th, and the nursing graduate program was ranked 36th. The school also has an active research program.

Colony Hill is a small neighborhood located in the southwest corner of Glover Archbold Park in Northwest Washington, D.C. It is bounded on the north and east by the park, on the south by Reservoir Road NW, and on the west by Foxhall Road NW. Colony Hill falls within Ward 3. Kehoe Field is the name of two fields that served as the home of the Georgetown Hoyas intramural sports and varsity athletics teams, including several seasons of Hoyas football, since the 1950s. They occupied the same site, successively, on the Georgetown University campus in Washington, D.C. The original Kehoe Field was a grass-surfaced stadium designed for American football and soccer, and was open from 1956 to 1976. After a two-year construction project, the second Kehoe Field opened on the same site, as an artificial-surface stadium on the roof of Yates Field House. After the departure of varsity athletics in 2002, the second Kehoe Field remained open for intramural sports and recreation. Kehoe Field was named after the Rev. John J. Kehoe, Georgetown's athletic director from 1932 to 1944. Kehoe, who later led the faculty of Fordham University, died in July 1955.

Yates Field House is a recreation and intramural sports complex at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. It was built in the late 1970s largely underground, on the site of the university's football stadium, with a replacement AstroTurf field installed on top of it. The four-level, 142,000-square foot facility includes several racket courts, basketball courts, a 200-meter jogging track and 25-meter, eight-lane indoor swimming pool, along with exercise rooms, weight rooms, locker rooms, saunas and a half-acre dance area. The facility was named for the Rev. Gerard F. Yates, a Georgetown faculty member.Problems with the unusual roof arrangement — including torn artificial turf, pooling rainwater and interior leaks — have led to major renovations in 1987, 2002 and 2019, and periodic calls for Yates to be replaced. Because of problems with the playing surface, varsity teams have not used the rooftop Kehoe Field since 2002, and even intramural and recreational users were barred from the roof in 2016.
