Littlestown Senior High School is a small, rural public high school located in Littlestown, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of the Littlestown Area School District. In 2013, Littlestown Senior High School enrollment was reported at 605 pupils. The current principal is Nathan Becker. The school's colors are blue and gold, and the mascot is the Thunderbolt.

Littlestown is a borough in Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 4,782 at the 2020 census. Originally laid out by Peter Klein in 1760, the town was first named Petersburg. German settlers in the area came to call the town Kleine Stedtle. In 1795, as confusion between the town and a neighboring town (also named Petersburg and now named York Springs) was growing, the town changed its name to Littlestown, an English translation of the German name Kleine Stedtle.

In the book Quest For Excellence, Dean Hoffmann, an executive editor of Hoof Beats magazine, chronicled the farm's history as it approached its 75th anniversary in 2001. By that definition, Hanover Shoe Farms leaves you searching for a word more powerful than 'dynasty'".In 2001, Hanover Shoe Farms set the all-time breeder earnings record regardless of breed with $21,372,418 in annual progeny earnings.The farm encompasses 2,426 acres (10 km2) in and around Hanover, Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is home to 9 stallions, 336 yearlings and over 500 broodmares. The yearling farm is located near Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and a satellite stallion station is located in Lambertville, New Jersey with two more stallions. Hanover Shoe Farm has produced world champion racehorses and its stallions have sired a multitude of winners.

Silver Run is an unincorporated community in Carroll County, Maryland, United States.Christopher Erb House was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Christopher Erb House is a stone house finished in 1799. It stands in Silver Run under a Westminster, MD zip code (21158). It is on a 38-acre (15 ha) property, split in two, and borders on Big Pipe Creek. The house has experienced two small fires, multiple hits from Black Locust trees in Hurricane Isabel, and detrimental building practices inside and outside the stone walls. The house is historically significant as an example of Pennsylvania German architecture and it reflects the influence of Pennsylvania Germans in Carroll County.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.The main house, finished in 1799 as evident by the date stone in the western gable, was constructed as a two family German style house. However, the exterior is in the Georgian style, with the southern elevation symmetrical and minimal decorative elements at the doorway. The southern elevation, the original front of the building, has more cut stone, although most of the house is constructed of field stone. Further down the slope of the knoll the main house sits on is a two-story spring house, the original house on the property. This is constructed as a traditional German colonial house, with a spring room and kitchen room on the bottom level. This house is listed in the 1760 tax records, and is assumed to be constructed between 1755 and 1760.

McSherrystown is a borough in Adams County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 3,077 as of the 2020 census. McSherrystown was home to the headquarters of Teddy Bear manufacturer Boyds Bears, as well as the oldest operating family-run cigar manufacturer in the U.S. (since 1863), F.X. Smith & Sons. Boyds has since closed down, and in 2018, the cigar company was sold.

Conewago Chapel Covered Bridge, also known as the Blue Spring Covered Bridge, was a historic wooden covered bridge located in Conewago and Mount Pleasant Townships in Adams County, Pennsylvania. It was a 98-foot-long (30 m), Burr Truss arch bridge with a metal roof constructed in 1899 by J.F. Socks. It crossed the South Branch of Conewago Creek and was one of 17 historic covered bridges in Adams, Cumberland, and Perry Counties when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1980, but was destroyed in an arson fire on June 14, 1985. The bridge was removed from the NRHP in 1986.

Union Mills is an unincorporated community in Carroll County, Maryland, United States. The community is home to the Union Mills Homestead Historic District, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. The Solomon Arter House was listed in 1987 and the Philip and Uriah Arter Farm in 2006.Since the 1970s, Carroll County commissioners have tried to build a dam or reservoir centered nearby, defeated in the 1970s and revived in the 2000s as a proposed Union Mills Reservoir. Union Mills plays a central role in Gettysburg: A Novel of the Civil War, a 2003 alternate history novel written by Newt Gingrich and William R. Forstchen.
