The Hellenic Parliament (Greek: Ελληνικό Κοινοβούλιο, romanized: Elliniko Kinovoulio; or Βουλή των Ελλήνων, Voulí ton Ellínon, 'Boule of the Hellenes'), also known as the Parliament of the Hellenes, the Hellenic Bouleterion or Greek Parliament, is the unicameral legislature of Greece, located in the Old Royal Palace, overlooking Syntagma Square in Athens. The parliament is the supreme democratic institution that represents the citizens through an elected body of Members of Parliament (MPs). It is a unicameral legislature of 300 members, elected for a four-year term. In 1844–1863 and 1927–1935, the parliament was bicameral with an upper house (the senate) and a lower house (the chamber of deputies), which retained the name Vouli. Several important Greek statesmen have served as the speaker of the Hellenic Parliament.

The Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Greek: Υπουργείο Εξωτερικών) is a government department of Greece, headed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs. The ministry has its headquarters in Athens. The incumbent minister is Giorgos Gerapetritis in the Second Cabinet of Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Rentis Building (Greek: Μέγαρο Ρέντη) is a preserved multi-story mansion in the center of Athens, Greece, housing the B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation.

The B. & M. Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music (Greek: Ίδρυμα Εικαστικών Τεχνών και Μουσικής Βασίλη και Μαρίνας Θεοχαράκη) is a non-profit foundation and art museum based in Athens, Greece, focusing on the promotion of Fine Arts through cultural events and exhibitions.

The Syntagma station of Athens Metro is located at Syntagma Square in the centre of Athens, Greece. It serves as the transfer point between Line 3 and Line 2. It also serves as a connection point (albeit at street level) to the Athens Tram. When the Metro first opened, on 28 January 2000, the station was the terminal station for both the new lines. It is a transportation hub for O.SY. buses and the northern terminal for the Tram. It is the busiest station in the Athens transport system, located underneath Syntagma Square, the busiest in Athens. It serves Ermou Street, a pedestrian street full of commercial activity and one of the priciest shopping areas in Europe. The station serves the Houses of Parliament and various government agencies, foreign embassies and the National Garden. Several of the architecture works were erected by Thodoros Papadimitriou, a famous sculptor and the station also includes a large archeological exhibition.

The National Garden (formerly the Royal Garden) (Greek: Εθνικός Κήπος)(it was named Royal Garden until 1974) is a public park of 15.5 hectares (38 acres) in the center of the Greek capital, Athens. It is located between the districts of Kolonaki and Pangrati, directly behind the Greek Parliament building (The Old Palace) and continues to the South to the area where the Zappeion is located, across from the Panathenaiko or Kalimarmaro Olympic Stadium of the 1896 Olympic Games. The Garden also encloses some ancient ruins, column drums and Corinthian capitals of columns, mosaics, and other features. On the Southeast side are the busts of Ioannis Kapodistrias, the first governor of Greece, and of the Philhellene Jean-Gabriel Eynard. On the South side are the busts of the celebrated Greek poets Dionysios Solomos, author of the Greek National Hymn, and Aristotelis Valaoritis.

The Syntagma Metro Station Archeological Collection is a museum in Athens, Greece. It is located at the Syntagma station of the Athens metro and it features a variety of historical items unearthed during the process of building the metro.

Syntagma Square (Greek: Πλατεία Συντάγματος, pronounced [plaˈtia sinˈdaɣmatos], "Constitution Square") is the central square of Athens. The square is named after the Constitution that Otto, the first King of Greece, was obliged to grant after a popular and military uprising on 3 September 1843. It is located in front of the 19th century Old Royal Palace, housing the Greek Parliament since 1934. Syntagma Square is the most important square of modern Athens from both a historical and social point of view, at the heart of commercial activity and Greek politics. The name Syntagma (Greek: Σύνταγμα) alone also refers to the neighbourhood surrounding the square. The metro station underneath the square, where lines 2 and 3 connect, along with the tram terminal and the numerous bus stops, constitutes one of the busiest transport hubs in the country.

Voukourestiou Street (Greek: Οδός Βουκουρεστίου, Odos Voukourestiou) named after the 1913 Treaty of Bucharest, which ended the Second Balkan War, is a rather narrow street in the Kolonaki district of Athens known for its high-end boutiques. In the 1950s, the street became popular for hip and trendy European and American goods in the Greek capital as well as gold and jewellery shops. Running from Stadiou Street to the slope of Mount Lycabettus, the street epitomized fancy shopping in Greece for generations. Voukourestiou Street is one of the four streets (the others being Stadiou Street, Amerikis Street and Panepistimiou Street) which enclose the large building of the former Army Shareholders' Fund. Now the building houses the Attica Department Store and the headquarters of the Piraeus Bank. Among others, there are a spa, three theatres and three cafés and restaurants, one of which is the well-known café Zonars. The building is crossed by an arcade which connects Voukourestiou and Amerikis Streets. This block—recently known as Athens City Link—houses the majority of the high-end boutiques in central Athens.

Vasilissis Amalias Avenue (Greek: Λεωφόρος Βασιλίσσης Αμαλίας, "Queen Amalia Avenue") is a major avenue in Athens, Greece, linking with Andrea Syngrou Avenue in the south and Panepistimiou Street in the north. The avenue has three lanes and further north four with two coming from Vasilissis Sofias Avenue. The National Garden lie on the eastern side of the avenue and residential buildings cover the west with eight to ten storey buildings in the northwestern part.This avenue was named after the first queen of modern Greece, Amalia, consort to King Othon, who also designed the gardens in 1938.Visitor attractions aside from the National Gardens themselves include the Greek Parliament with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to the east and Syntagma Square (Constitution Square) to the west, the Arch of Hadrian and the Temple of Olympian Zeus to the south and the Zappeion on the eastern side at the centre of the avenue.

The Numismatic Museum of Athens (Greek: Νομισματικό Μουσείο Αθηνών) is one of the most important museums in Greece and it houses a collection of over 500,000 coins, medals, gems, weights, stamps and related artefacts from 1400BC to modern times. The collection constitutes one of the richest in the world, paralleled by those of the British Museum in London, the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris, the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, the Bode Museum in Berlin, and the American Numismatic Society in New York. The museum itself is housed in the mansion of the archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann, formally known as Iliou Melathron (Greek: Ιλίου Μέλαθρον, "Palace of Ilion").

Herodou Attikou Street or Irodou Attikou Street (Greek: Οδός Ηρώδου Αττικού, pronounced [oˈðos iˈroðu atiˈku]) is located east of downtown Athens and is adjacent to the National Garden of Athens. The street is named after the ancient Athenian rhetorician, magnate and major benefactor of the Roman era, Herodes Atticus as its direction is towards Panathenaic Stadium, at the east hill of which (nowadays Pangrati) his mausoleum was found. The tree-lined one-way street runs from north (Vasilissis Sofias Avenue) to south (Vasileos Konstantinou Avenue) connecting the districts of Kolonaki and Pangrati. It is, by far, the most expensive piece of housing real estate in Greece and one of the most expensive in Europe. The five-block-long eastern side of the street is lined with luxurious apartments and mansions, foremost among them the Presidential Palace, the official workplace and residence of the President of the Hellenic Republic, and the Maximos Mansion (Μέγαρο Μαξίμου, Megaro Maximou), the official workplace of the Prime Minister. Kolonaki, a shopping district, lies immediately to the north, and Pangrati, a residential district, to the south, the National Gardens to the west and the Panathenaic Stadium to the southeast. The barracks of the Presidential Guard are the only buildings on the western (National Garden) side of the street. The street is heavily guarded by police (both uniformed and plainclothes) round the clock.
