The San Bernardino Valley Water Conservation Demonstration Garden is a public teaching-research garden with just over an acre of plantings and displays that showcase water conservation through a series of themed gardens and exhibits located at California State University, San Bernardino. While located on the Cal State campus in San Bernardino, the Garden was not built with any state resources. Rather, it was made possible by major gifts from three local donors: the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District (now called the West Valley Water District), the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians and the Inland Empire Resource Conservation District, with additional donations from a variety of smaller donors and in-kind contributions of labor, supplies and expertise.

California State University, San Bernardino (Cal State San Bernardino or CSUSB) is a public research university in San Bernardino, California. Founded in 1965, it is part of the California State University system. The main campus sits on 441 acres (178 ha) in the University District of San Bernardino, with a branch campus of 40 acres (16 ha) in Palm Desert, California, opened in 1986. Cal State San Bernardino's fall 2020 enrollment was 19,404. In fall 2019, it had 505 full-time faculty, of which 385 (76 percent) were on the tenure track.The university is classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity", offering bachelor's degrees in 123 programs, master's degrees in 61 programs, two Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) programs (Community College specialization and K–12 specialization), and 23 teaching credentials.CSUSB's sports teams are known as the Coyotes and play in the California Collegiate Athletic Association in the Division II of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. The nickname was inspired by the coyotes that inhabit the area around the campus, which lies in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains. The CSUSB women's volleyball team has won thirteen CCAA titles, eight West Region titles and a national title. The men's soccer team went to the NCAA Division II national semi-finals, capturing the university's first California Collegiate Athletic Association title. The university is a Hispanic-serving institution.

James and Aerianthi Coussoulis Arena or Coussoulis Arena is a 4,140-seat multi-purpose arena in San Bernardino, California, United States, on the campus of California State University, San Bernardino. It is named for James & Aerianthi Coussoulis. It is home to the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes men's basketball, women's basketball and women's volleyball teams. It hosts many other functions including commencement, concerts, Harlem Globetrotters basketball, WWE professional wrestling, comedy shows, band competitions and arts and music festivals.

The Santos Manuel Student Union is a student union located near the geographical the center of California State University, San Bernardino's campus, just east of John M Pfau Library. The Santos Manuel Student Union leads into the heart of the CSUSB campus and is located near many buildings, including University Hall, the College of Education, the Student Health Center, and the Serrano Village dormitories in addition to being close to administrative services.

The University District, often referred to as University Parkway, is a foothill community located approximately 5–8 miles north of downtown San Bernardino, California. The District is named after the California State University, San Bernardino. It is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in San Bernardino along with the Hospitality Lane District. As California State University, San Bernardino grew so did the region around it; it used to be nothing but mid-desert farmland, but has been developing quickly to become a neighborhood important to not only San Bernardino but also the entire region.

Murillo Family Observatory is a teaching and research observatory for California State University, San Bernardino, located on Badger Hill on the northern portion of campus, in San Bernardino, the U.S. state of California. As of 2010, it was the newest research observatory in the Inland Empire and in the California State University system. The observatory consists of two telescopes which are used for research and teaching; a 20-inch Ritchey-Chretien and a 17-inch Corrected Dall-Kirkham Astrograph. In addition to the research telescopes the observatory has an observation deck with piers where small telescopes may be set up for undergraduate laboratory classes or open house nights. It serves as both an academic and community resource, with public viewing nights and special astronomy events for the community.

Cajon High School is located in the University District of San Bernardino, California, and is part of the San Bernardino City Unified School District.

Devil Canyon is a 1.5 mile long canyon on the south slope of the San Bernardino Mountains, in San Bernardino County, California. Its mouth lies at an elevation of 1,759 feet (536 meters). It heads at 34°12′53″N 117°19′43″W, the confluence of East Fork Devil Canyon and West Fork Devil Canyon at an elevation of 2,352 feet (717 meters).

Devil Canyon, is a steep sided valley or canyon in the south side of Paivia Peak, in the San Bernardino Mountains of San Bernardino County, California. Devil Canyon Creek with its tributary East and West Forks, are a tributary of the Santa Ana River watershed, now interrupted by the local irrigation and flood control system reservoir at its mouth.

The Shandin Hills are a low mountain range of the Transverse Ranges system of Southern California.

Rancho Muscupiabe was a 30,145-acre (121.99 km2) Mexican land grant in present day San Bernardino County, California given to Michael C. White on April 29, 1843, by Governor Manuel Micheltorena. The name comes from the Serrano word muscupiabit, meaning "place of little pines." The rancho was adjacent to Cajon Pass. A separate grant for Cajon de Muscupiabe was given to Juan Bandini by Governor Alvarado in 1839 for the exclusive right to cut timber for 30 years in an area described by meets and bounds, about 1 league.

Muscoy is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 10,644 at the 2010 census, up from 8,919 at the 2000 census. Muscoy shares ZIP code 92407 with the communities of Verdemont, Devore Heights, Rosena Ranch and Arrowhead Farms in northwestern San Bernardino. Residents enjoy a semi-rural setting with large lots where they can raise horses and other livestock, nursery plants, and fruit trees. For this reason, much of Muscoy is included in the county Additional Agriculture (AA) overlay, which specifies the types and quantities of animals that may be kept on each parcel. A distinctive feature of Muscoy life today is motor vehicles and equestrians sharing the roadways.
