Meridian Hall is an historic house in the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It has been listed on the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites since 1990 and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991 as the Mansion at 2401 15th Street, NW.

Clifton Terrace are historic structures located in the Columbia Heights neighborhood in the Northwest Quadrant of Washington, D.C. Frank Russell White and Albert Moreland Schneider designed the three building apartment complex in the Colonial Revival style. They were inspired by the garden city movement. Harry Wardman built the complex from 1914–1915 along the 14th Street streetcar line. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. The buildings are also known for forming the backdrop of Javins v. First National Realty Corp., 428 F.2d 1071 (D.C. Cir. 1970), a landmark case establishing the warranty of habitability in landlord-tenant law.

Booker T. Washington Public Charter School was a 501c3 non-profit charter high school chartered by the District of Columbia Public Schools.It operated from 1999 to 2014 The Booker T. Washington Public Charter School opened for the 1999-2000 school year at 1346 Florida Avenue, NW. It was an academically-oriented vocational school with a mission to educate students in grades 9-12, as well as adults, for construction and building trades. When its 15-year charter was set to expire, it submitted an application for renewal, but in February 2014 the DC Public Charter School Board voted 5-0-1 to deny the renewal. " PCSB reviewed the school’s application and found that the school failed to meet its charter goals and academic achievement expectations." The charter expired June 30, 2014.

The Mary Ann Shadd Cary House is a historic residence located at 1421 W Street, Northwest in Washington, D.C. From 1881 to 1885, it was the home of Mary Ann Shadd Cary (1823–93), a writer and abolitionist who was one of the first African American female journalists in North America, and who became one of the first black female lawyers after the American Civil War. The house was declared a National Historic Landmark on December 8, 1976, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It also is a contributing property to the Greater U Street Historic District.

Dante Alighieri, is a public artwork by Italian artist Ettore Ximenes, located at Meridian Hill Park in Washington, D.C., United States. Dante Alighieri was originally surveyed as part of the Smithsonian Institution's Save Outdoor Sculpture! survey in 1994. The monument is a tribute to Italian poet Dante Alighieri.

The Embassy of Ecuador in Washington, D.C., is the Republic of Ecuador's diplomatic mission to the United States. It is located at 2535 15th Street N.W. in Washington, D.C.'s Columbia Heights neighborhood. The current building has been used as an embassy since the 1960s.The building was designed by architect George Oakley Totten, Jr. (1866-1939), who studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts and who also designed the Old Hungarian Embassy building next door at 2537 Fifteenth St.: 13 The embassy also operates Consulates-General in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New Haven, New Orleans, New York City, Newark, Phoenix and San Francisco. The Chargé d'Affairs is Efraín Baus.The chancery suffered damage in the 2011 Virginia earthquake on August 24, 2011. The earthquake caused cracks on internal walls and collapsed three of the building's chimneys. The chimney collapse damaged two cars.On September 27, 2017, a two alarm fire broke out on the roof of the chancery.

Turner's Arena was the name given to a 1,800 seat arena, located at 1342 W Street, near the northeast corner of 14th and W Streets, NW in Washington, DC, and originally owned by local wrestling promoter Joe Turner. One of the popular events were bouts featuring local wrestler Swift Eagle and Chief Thunderbird as detailed in the House History Man blog. A photograph and advertisement for the arena appears on page 69 of the book Greater U Street by Paul K. Williams. This venue was an early home to the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, a precursor to WWE, which was started by Vincent J. McMahon in January 1953. McMahon took over the territory from Gabe Menendez, who had succeeded Turner after his death in 1947. In addition, the arena hosted top professional boxing matches promoted by Goldie Ahearn featuring fighters such as Lou Gevinson, Lew Hanbury, and Jimmy Cooper. It was also the birthplace of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association annual basketball tournament, as well as the host to top country music acts and Jazz performances. It was renamed Capitol Arena in 1956 once Capitol Wrestling Corporation began broadcasting a syndicated weekly wrestling show from the arena every Thursday night. The arena was closed and demolished in 1965.

Olympia Apartments is an historic structure located in the Columbia Heights neighborhood in Washington, D.C.'s Northwest Quadrant. Albert B. Morgan designed this apartment building and it was completed in 1898. The official District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites states "Stylistically, the Olympia is also notable as a transitional mixture of Victorian and Beaux Arts design, reflecting the period from about 1895 to 1905 when monumental classicism returned to favor in Washington." The building is the last remaining of the first phase of apartment blocks that were constructed near the 14th Street streetcar line. They formed Washington's first apartment corridor. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The James Buchanan Memorial is a bronze and granite memorial in the southeast corner of Meridian Hill Park Northwest, Washington, D.C. It was designed by architect William Gorden Beecher, and sculpted by Maryland artist Hans Schuler. Commissioned in 1916, but not approved by the U.S. Congress until 1918, it was completed and unveiled June 26, 1930. The memorial features a statue of Buchanan bookended by male and female classical figures representing law and diplomacy, engraved with text from a member of Buchanan's cabinet, Jeremiah S. Black: The incorruptible statesman whose walk was upon the mountain ranges of the law. The memorial in the nation's capital complemented an earlier monument, constructed in 1907–08 and dedicated in 1911, on the site of Buchanan's birthplace in Mercersburg, Pennsylvania.

Manhattan Laundry is a complex of historic buildings located in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
