Destiny USA (stylized as destiny usa and also known by its former name Carousel Center) is a six-story, automobile-oriented super-regional shopping, dining, and entertainment complex on the shore of Onondaga Lake in the city of Syracuse, New York. It is the largest shopping mall in the state of New York and the 9th largest in the country. In 2021, Destiny USA was included among the top 20 most visited shopping centers in America, attracting over 26 million visitors a year.Destiny USA opened on October 15, 1990, as Carousel Center. The mall has six aboveground floors and one underground floor. The lower three floors and the underground floor are used for retail shops. The first and second floors span the length of the mall and house the various shops, vendors, restaurants, and entertainment venues, with the major food court and namesake carousel located on the second floor. The third floor includes a 19-screen Regal Cinemas, restaurants, and entertainment options. The fourth floor is primarily administrative offices. The underground floor, known as the Commons floor, houses medium-sized stores, a chapel, kiosks, and two underground parking garages. The Commons floor does not span the full length of the mall, and is contained within the original mall structure built in 1990. Destiny USA has outside parking surrounding the mall on nearly all sides. On the Hiawatha Boulevard side, additional parking lots are located across the street from the mall and a pedestrian bridge was built to connect the parking lot to the second floor of the 2012 addition. Parking includes one aboveground and two underground parking garages. The mall is served by CENTRO buses. There are main entrances on nearly all sides of the mall. Other entrances are located through the anchor stores and from the underground parking lots. In response to a streak of crime starting in 2021, Destiny USA increased security and changed their visitor policy.

The Central New York Regional Market (CNY Regional Market), located on the north side of Syracuse, New York, is a State Authority (public), retail-wholesale, terminal food market complex. Although a State Authority, the Market has not received any public funding for over 20 years. In 2010, the market estimated that it had a hand in hosting sales of nearly $70 million per year in farm products.Operated by the state-established Central New York Regional Market Authority, the market has stayed at its current location since first opening for business under the government's umbrella in 1938. Its main entrance is a roadway that is today designated Farmers' Market Place, located at 2100 Park Street, immediately opposite the mouth of the Exit 23 ramp from Interstate Route 81 northbound. The market area can also be accessed via other curb cuts along Park Street, as well as via roadways NBT Bank Parkway and Tex Simone Drive which have been set up in modern times to serve both the market and its neighbors, the William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center, and NBT Bank Stadium.

The William F. Walsh Regional Transportation Center (RTC) is an Amtrak intermodal transit station serving the Syracuse area. It is owned and operated by Intermodal Transportation Center, Inc, a subsidiary of Centro, and is also served by Greyhound Lines, Megabus, and Trailways. Local and regional bus transportation is provided by Centro. Various taxi firms provide service to the Center, as well. The Regional Transportation Center is located at 1 Walsh Circle, near the Central New York Regional Market, NBT Bank Stadium and Destiny USA. The station is named for William F. Walsh, a former mayor of Syracuse and representative in the U.S. Congress. Syracuse is served by the daily round trip of the Lake Shore Limited, two daily Empire Service round trips, and the daily Maple Leaf round trip.

O.M. Edwards Building is located at the intersection of Plum and Solar Streets in Syracuse, New York. It is a representative example of an early twentieth century manufacturing plant. It was designed by Gordon Wright, and built in 1906. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

The Syracuse and Onondaga County Fire Museum is a museum in Syracuse, New York to honor the history of the fire service in the City of Syracuse and surrounding areas. The museum is located in the former quarters of Engine Co. 4, on Wolf Street in Syracuse, a station built in the late 1800s. Under the leadership of former IAFF Local 280 President James Ennis, the museum has already received a donation of a former Ahrens-Fox fire engine purchased by the Syracuse Fire Department and which served as Engine 1. Another leader of this project is former Syracuse Chief Dave Reeves, who has kept watch over the history of the Department for years, and led the Department's Historical Committee. His research and collection of memorabilia aids the Museum, and led to the writing of a book, along with Tom Shand, on the history of the Apparatus of the Syracuse Fire Department, titled Signal 99.

The Harriet May Mills House or Harriet May Mills Residence is a historic home on the west side of Syracuse, New York. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. Extensive information on the restoration of the home and its former owners is archived on the now-defunct HarrietMayMills.org website. Charles de Berard Mills and Harriet Ann Mills were abolitionists. Harriet May Mills, their daughter, was active in women's rights. She co-founded a suffragette club, the Political Equality Club, in 1892, which grew rapidly. She was the first female to run for a major statewide office as a candidate of a major political party, running for New York State's Secretary of State in 1920.

Lakefront is one of the 26 officially recognized neighborhoods of Syracuse, New York. It borders five other Syracuse neighborhoods, with Washington Square and Near Northeast to the east, Downtown Syracuse to the southeast, and Westside and Far Westside to the south. Lakefront includes the Franklin Square, Syracuse and Inner Harbor, Syracuse areas. O.M. Edwards Building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

WOLF (1490 kHz) is a sports formatted broadcast radio station licensed to Syracuse, New York, serving the Syracuse metropolitan area. The station is 100% owned by Craig Fox, who also owns several other radio and low-power TV stations in the state of New York. The WOLF broadcast license is held by WOLF Radio, Inc. The station is also simulcast on FM translator W223CP at 92.5 FM, on the FM6 service of WVOA-LD at 87.75 FM, and in Fulton, New York, on WOSW 1300 AM and its FM translator, W253BZ at 98.5 FM.

WKLZ (105.9 FM) is a non-commercial radio station operating under a licensing agreement by the Educational Media Foundation (EMF), and carries the contemporary Christian music format of its nationally syndicated network K-Love for the Syracuse, New York, area.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is a Catholic parish church and minor basilica in Syracuse, New York. It is located at 927 Park Avenue in the Westside neighborhood. The building was designated a minor basilica by Pope John Paul II on August 27, 1998, and dedicated on October 3, 1999.

Syracuse New Times was a weekly alternative newspaper published in Syracuse, New York, by William Brod and distributed throughout the Central New York region. It was owned by All Times Publishing LLC. The publication was released every Wednesday, printing 36,000 copies and distributed to approximately 1150 locations in Central New York. After an unsuccessful trial as a paid subscription-based paper, the New Times published its final issue on 26 June 2019.

The Syracuse Baseball Wall of Fame was established by the Syracuse SkyChiefs in 1998 in conjunction with the 140th anniversary of the first organized baseball team in Syracuse, New York. It is located at NBT Bank Stadium, home of the Syracuse Mets Triple-A baseball team, in the stadiums' Hall of Fame, which is located under the Metropolitan Club.
