Pabianka

The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul is a Lutheran church and a historical landmark in the town of Pabianice in central Poland. Constructed in the early nineteenth century to cater to the spiritual needs of the growing Protestant population of the rising industrial town, the church now serves a small Lutheran community in what is a predominantly Catholic area. Since 2010 the church has been the seat of the bishop of the Lutheran Diocese of Warsaw.

Gmina Pabianice is a rural gmina (administrative district) in Pabianice County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. Its seat is the town of Pabianice, although the town is not part of the territory of the gmina. The gmina covers an area of 88.57 square kilometres (34.2 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 5,701.

Pabianice County (Polish: powiat pabianicki) is a unit of territorial administration and local government (powiat) in Łódź Voivodeship, central Poland. It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Pabianice, which lies 16 kilometres (10 mi) south of the regional capital Łódź. The only other town in the county is Konstantynów Łódzki, lying 12 km (7 mi) north of Pabianice. The county covers an area of 490.77 square kilometres (189.5 sq mi). As of 2006, its total population was 119,008, out of which the population of Pabianice was 70,445, that of Konstantynów Łódzki 17,564, and the rural population was 30,999.

Pabianice [pabʲaˈɲit͡sɛ] is a city in central Poland with 63,023 inhabitants (2021). Situated in the Łódź Voivodeship, it is the capital of Pabianice County. It lies about 10 kilometres (6 miles) southwest of Łódź and belongs to the metropolitan area of that city. It is the third largest city in the Łódź Voivodeship by population. The area of the city covers 32.9 square kilometres (12.7 sq mi), being the 10th largest in Łódź Voivodeship. According to data from 2009, agricultural land constitutes 53%, of the area and forests another 9%. The city covers 6.70% of Pabianice County. It is located in the Sieradz Land. Pabianice station is a railway station located in the town of Pabianice, Łódź Voivodeship, Poland. According to PKP it has the status of a regional station. It serves mainly regional traffic between Łódź and Sieradz, although it is also a stopping point for PKP Intercity services between Warsaw and Wrocław.
