Glanworth (Irish: Gleannúir, meaning 'yew valley') is a village on the R512 regional road in County Cork, Ireland. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) northwest of the town of Fermoy and 40 km (25 mi) northeast of Cork city. As of 2016, Glanworth's population was 603.Glanworth has a Roman Catholic church, a school, one shop and four pubs. The village is locally known as 'The Harbour'. This stems from the ninth century invasion of Vikings, who sailed inland as far as the monastery in Glanworth. Glanworth is within the Cork East Dáil constituency.

Rockmills (Irish: Carraig an Mhuileann) is a small rural village located in the parish of Kildorrery, in the Avondhu region of County Cork, Ireland. The village derives its name from the large mill that once operated on the banks of the River Funshion, that runs to the east of the village. Rockmills is part of the Cork East (Dáil constituency). The flour mills was the scene of a sharp fight during the Whiteboy risings, when it was attacked to capture the money kept on hands for the purchase of wheat. The assailants were repulsed with the loss of seven lives.A freestanding three-stage tower and spire exists, built 1812. It is the former west end of St Nathlash Church of Ireland, the rest of building demolished 1889.

Mitchelstown (Irish: Baile Mhistéala) is a town in County Cork, Ireland with a population of approximately 3,740. Mitchelstown is situated in the valley to the south of the Galtee Mountains, 12 km south-west of the Mitchelstown Caves, 28 km from Cahir, 50 km from Cork, 59 km from Limerick and 10 km from Fermoy. The River Gradoge runs by the town into the River Funshion, which in turn is a tributary of the River Blackwater. The town is best known as a centre for cheese production. Mitchelstown is within the Cork East Dáil constituency.

The festival features a variety of artists as well as comedy, spoken word, a small cinema and other attractions. INDIE, as it is known, has been shortlisted as one of the best small festivals in Europe several times as well as winning awards within Ireland.

Kildorrery (Irish: Cill Dairbhre, meaning 'church of the oak-forest') is a village in north County Cork, Ireland. It lies at the crossroads of the N73 road from Mallow to Mitchelstown and the R512 from Kilmallock to Fermoy. Kildorrery is part of the Cork East Dáil constituency. The village, which sits on a hilltop plateau, overlooks the surrounding area. To the east are the Galtee Mountains and Knockmealdown Mountains, with Slievenamon in the distance. To the north the Ballyhouras – the Limerick road is flanked by two mountains, Castlegale and Carrigeenamronety (Carraigín na mBróinte). To the south, across the Blackwater Valley, are the Nagle mountains.

Lisnagourneen or Lisnagoorneen (Irish: Lios na gCuirníneach) is a small townland between Castletownroche and Glanworth in County Cork, Ireland. Located in the historical barony of Fermoy, it has an area of approximately 2.6 square kilometres (1.0 sq mi). The Archaeological Survey of Ireland records a possible small ringfort site in the townland. Lisnagoorneen had a population of 47 people as of the 2011 census.

Castlehyde (Irish: Carraig an Éidigh) is a townland and estate, slightly west of Fermoy in County Cork, Ireland. The estate's manor house, Castlehyde House, had been the ancestral home of Douglas Hyde's family and is one of several houses owned by Irish dancer, Michael Flatley.The townland of Castlehyde, which is c. 32 hectares (79 acres) in area, is in the civil parish of Fermoy and the historical barony of Condons and Clangibbon. It is bordered by Castlehyde East (198 hectares (490 acres)) and Castlehyde West (17 hectares (42 acres)).
