Serendipity 3, often written Serendipity III, is a restaurant located at 225 East 60th Street, between Second and Third avenues in New York City, founded by Calvin L Holt Patch Caradine and Stephen Bruce in 1954. It also served as a boutique that sold one-of-a-kind fashion and artistic items and hosted famous artists and popular culture figures. The restaurant has been the scene of several films, including the 2001 romantic comedy Serendipity. American singer and actress Selena Gomez has an ownership stake in the restaurant. There was also a Serendipity location in Westport,Connecticut.

The Bodley Gallery was an art gallery in New York City, from the late 1940s through the early 1980s. The Bodley specialized in contemporary and modern art. David Mann was director of the gallery during its heyday and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Braun (a.k.a. Georgie Duffee), were the owners.

The Townhouse Bar of New York, or simply The Townhouse, is an upscale gay piano bar which opened in 1989. It is located in the Midtown East, Manhattan neighborhood of New York City.

The Modulightor Building is a commercial building in the Midtown East neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. It was designed by noted architect Paul Rudolph and was built from 1989 to 1994.The fifth and sixth floor of the building were constructed from 2007 to 2015, in a project led by the original project manager using Rudolph's preliminary designs for a six-story building on the site.The four-story building was constructed for Modulightor, a company that Rudolph co-founded to sell light fixtures. It has seen commercial and residential uses, and later housed a gallery on its top floors. The gallery exhibited "Paul Rudolph: The Personal Laboratory" in 2018. The building currently holds Modulightor's fabrication center in the basement and on the first floor; the remaining spaces house the Paul Rudolph Institute for Modern Architecture and several duplexes. One of these duplexes is occupied by Ernst Wagner, the building's owner.

Dylan's Candy Bar is a chain of boutique candy shops and candy supplier currently located in New York City; East Hampton, New York; Los Angeles, Chicago, Honolulu and The Bahamas, as well as several US airports and in wholesale venues around the globe. It is owned by Dylan Lauren.

The 59th Street station was a local station on the demolished IRT Third Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It was built on September 16, 1878. The local trains used two tracks and two side platforms. The center track was built as part of the Dual Contracts and was used for express trains. Due to its location along the east side of the headquarters for Bloomingdale's, the station was also known as "Bloomingdale's Station." The station was also the first rapid transit stop in the city to have an escalator, installed in September 1901. This station closed on May 12, 1955, with the ending of all service on the Third Avenue El south of 149th Street.

The 60th Street Tunnel carries the N, ​R, and ​W trains of the New York City Subway under the East River and Roosevelt Island between Manhattan and Queens.

The 57th Street station was an express station on the demolished IRT Second Avenue Line in Manhattan, New York City. It had two levels. The lower level had three tracks and two island platforms and served trains coming from the Bronx. The upper level had two tracks and one island platform and served trains coming from Queens, from the IRT Flushing Line, and IRT Astoria Line. The next stop to the north was 65th Street for local trains going to the Bronx, and Queensboro Plaza for trains going to Queens. The next express stop was 86th Street on Bronx-bound trains. The next stop to the south was 50th Street for all local trains and 42nd Street for express trains. The station closed on June 13, 1942, although trains to the Bronx stopped serving it on June 11, 1940.

Café Nicholson (originally at 147 East 57th St., and later at 323 East 58th Street) was a New York City restaurant that operated from 1948 to 1999. The establishment became a gathering place for members of the artistic, literary and cultural elite.

Bloomingdale's Inc. is an American luxury department store chain; it was founded in New York City by Joseph B. and Lyman G. Bloomingdale in 1861. A third brother of both, Emanuel Watson Bloomingdale, was also involved in the business. It became a division of the Cincinnati-based Federated Department Stores in 1930 under then-president Samuel Bloomingdale.In 1994, the Macy's department store chain joined the Federated Department Stores holding company. Its headquarters and flagship store are located at 59th Street and Lexington Avenue in the New York City borough of Manhattan.

The Magic Towne House was a magic show spot on three floors at 1026 Third Avenue, north of 60th Street, New York City, in the 1970s and 1980s. It was a venue for adults in the cabaret as well as having a children's theater for patrons of all ages to see and enjoy magic.

300 East 57th Street is an apartment building on the corner of East 57th Street and Second Avenue in the Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City. Designed by Emery Roth and completed in November 1947, it was one of the first new luxury buildings built in Manhattan during the housing boom following the end of World War II. In 1948, only a few months after the building opened, theater producer Max Jelin was killed in a gas explosion in his apartment.The building is the last known New York address for J. D. Salinger before he moved to a life of seclusion in the New Hampshire woods. Other notable tenants have included Liza Minnelli, Howard St. John, Peter Allen, Rocky Graziano, and Kay Thompson.
