Hernesaari Heliport (Finnish: Hernesaaren helikopterikenttä, Swedish: Ärtholmens heliport, IATA: HEN, ICAO: EFHE) is located at Hernesaari, in Helsinki, Finland. The heliport is run by Helikopterikeskus. The Heliport that used to be in Hernesaari has been closed. The Hernesaari area is in constant development. The city development board agreed on a draft for the amendment of the town plan in December 2009. As of August 2011, FastClass company plans to restart the operations.

Copterline Oy was Finland's largest helicopter airline established on 15 October 1990 as Copter Action and renamed to Copterline in 2000. In 2004 the company ferried over 75,000 passengers. On December 19, 2008, Copterline confirmed that it had ceased its scheduled service between Helsinki and Tallinn. On 15 February 2010, Copterline filed for bankruptcy, citing inability to keep the company profitable. Its head office was located on the grounds of Helsinki-Malmi Airport in Helsinki. In 2011, Line Support Oy, founded by mostly the same group as Copterline Oy, announced a resumption of service from September, operated by its Estonian subsidiary Copterline OÜ. On 9 September 2011, the first commercial flights were undertaken.

The Jätkäsaari dumping site was an unofficial dumping ground in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki during 1930–44. The site is now part of the West Harbour of Helsinki. The place was never an official dumping ground, and it is not known for certain who exactly used it. It was used at least by private persons and companies, but possibly also by the City of Helsinki Sanitation Service.

Jätkäsaari (Swedish: Busholmen) is a peninsula and a quarter in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland. It is part to the Kampinmalmi district and Länsisatama neighbourhood. It was the location of the main container harbour in Helsinki until late 2008, when the harbour moved to the new facilities in Vuosaari. The terminal for passenger ferries to Tallinn, Estonia, remains in Länsisatama (literally West Harbour in Finnish).

West Harbour (Finnish: Länsisatama, Swedish: Västra hamnen) is a passenger and cargo harbour in the Jätkäsaari district of Helsinki, Finland, in the southwestern part of the Helsinginniemi peninsula. The Länsisatama harbour area also includes the Munkkisaaren laituri pier on the west side of Munkkisaari, used by cruiseliners. The harbour is operated by the Port of Helsinki. It has two passenger terminals: West Terminal 1 (Finnish: Länsiterminaali 1, Swedish: Västra terminalen 1) and West Terminal 2, which opened in February 2017. West Terminal 1 is used mainly by passenger ships from Helsinki to Saint Petersburg. West Terminal 2 is specialised in fast scheduled traffic to Tallinn, Estonia. As of 2013, Tallink and Eckerö Line operate routes to Tallinn, and St. Peter Line to Saint Petersburg. The construction of a new residential area for 15 thousand inhabitants in Jätkäsaari continues as of April 2020, using land freed up after the container traffic in West Harbour was moved to Vuosaari Harbour in 2008. Immediately next to West Harbour, in the Munkkisaari quarter, there is the Helsinki shipyard in Hietalahti. However, it is not counted as part of the harbour area of Länsisatama. Länsisatama is also the 20th neighbourhood of the city, extending around the harbour. The passenger terminals are served by Helsinki tram lines 7 and 9.

Bad Bad Boy is a pink sculpture made of concrete in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki, Finland. The sculpture was created by sculptor Tommi Toija and represents a naked urinating boy. The sculpture is eight and a half metres tall and weighs seven and a half tons. The water flow in the sculpture is heated so the boy can urinate all year round, even in winter. The sculpture was made of spray concrete around a steel frame and was made in Sweden.

Löyly is a public sauna, restaurant and bar in Hernesaari, Helsinki, Finland. Its address is Hernesaarenranta 4. Löyly opened in 2016.Löyly's owner is actor Jasper Pääkkönen. The building is designed by Avanto Architects Ltd. Hernesaari is a former industrial area on the Helsinki sea shore that will be built into a residential area. New use is developed for the area already now while waiting for the future change. As the site is part of Helsinki Park following the capital's coastline, the sauna was developed into an easy-going undulating artificial topography that is more a part of the landscape than a conventional box like building. The structure is like a big stone on the sea shore, Interesting views open up to city centre and even to open sea between wooden lamellas that cover the warm building mass. The whole building forms also a huge outdoor auditorium and you can climb on the roof terrace and even on the lookout terrace to enjoy the views. Löyly offers foreign visitors a public all year round sauna experience – a must when visiting Finland.The building has become one of Helsinki main tourist attractions. Löyly is published in many leading magazines and newspapers. Time magazine included Löyly in its 2018 list of the World's 100 Greatest Places. CNN′s Richard Quest called Löyly "chic" in March 2019 and also Vogue highlighted Löyly in their 2017 coverage.The building's unique architecture has won numerous prizes including: Chicago Athenaeum international architecture award 2018, Architizer A+ Awards Jury + Popular Vote Winner 2017, Iconic best of best 2017, IOC IAKS Award Silver medal 2017, Build architecture award 2017, Helsinki City building control quality award "Rose for Building" 2016, WAN Wood in Architecture 2016. The project got an honorary mention in International Space Design Award Idea tops 2016. The project was finalist in following competitions: Prix International d’Architecture Bois 2018, Nordic Architecture Fair Award 2017. Löyly was nominated for Mies van der Rohe –prize 2017, Finlandia prize for Architecture 2016, Philippe Rotthier European Prize for Architecture 2017 (was selected in the catalog), Finnish Interior Architecture Journalists’ Prize 2017, and both for Finnish Wood, Concrete and Steel prizes in 2016.

Hernesaari (Finnish), Ärtholmen (Swedish) (until 2013 Munkkisaari / Munkholmen) is a quarter in Helsinki, Finland.

The International School of Helsinki is an independent, co-educational, international school in Helsinki, Finland. It was founded as the British Preparatory School in 1963.ISH is an International Baccalaureate World School, with IB programs offered from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The school was first authorised to offer the IB Diploma program in 1993. Instruction is in English, with the school divided into a Lower School (Kindergarten through Grade 5) and Upper School (Grades 6-12). The school has a full-day program. Its school years run from early August to early June.

Clarion Hotel Helsinki is a hotel in the Jätkäsaari district of Helsinki, Finland, opened on 17 October 2016. The building has 16 floors, is 78 metres tall and has 425 hotel rooms as well as 15 convention and event rooms. The top floor contains a health club, a sauna and a rooftop pool. The building was commissioned by the Norwegian building millionaire Arthur Burchardt. The hotel is managed by the Nordic hotel chain Nordic Choice Hotels and is the chain's first hotel in Finland. Nordic Choice Hotels is a franchising partner of the international Choice Hotels chain, owned by the Norwegian "hotel magnate" and environmental activist Petter Stordalen.Of the two 16-floor towers in the hotel one has an interior decoration with a light Finnish style and the other has one with an international darker style.The protected harbour warehouse building designed by Lars Sonck, located next to the building, was renovated into a convention centre.

The Crusell Bridge (Finnish: Crusellinsilta, Swedish: Crusellbron) is a bridge in the Länsisatama district of Helsinki, Finland, crossing the Ruoholahti bay in the Baltic Sea, about 24.8 metres wide and connecting the Ruoholahti and Jätkäsaari neighbourhoods. The bridge is a 173.4 metre long cable-stayed bridge, used by light traffic, automobile traffic and the Helsinki tram line 8. The bridge was inaugurated on 14 June 2011 by Mayor Jussi Pajunen. The bridge has been named after the Finnish composer and clarinet player Bernhard Henrik Crusell.

Ruoholahti (Finnish: [ˈruo̯hoˌlɑhti]; Swedish: Gräsviken; both meaning "Grass Bay") is a quarter in Helsinki, part of the Länsisatama neighbourhood and Kampinmalmi district. It is located in the southwestern part of the central city area of Helsinki, close to the Lauttasaari island, and it functions as the principal connection between the Helsinki city centre and the city of Espoo to the west. As of 2005 Ruoholahti is inhabited by approx. 3300 people. The Länsisatama port is also situated in Ruoholahti.
