Sarıhamzalı, Seyhan

Adana Yeşiloba Hippodrome (Turkish: Adana Yeşiloba Hipodromu) is a horse racing track located at the Yeşiloba neighborhood of the Seyhan district of the city Adana.

Yeşiloba is a neighbourhood (mahalle) in the municipality and district of Seyhan, Adana Province, Turkey. Its population is 15,242 (2022). The neighbourhood is situated on both sides of D400 state road, 8 km west of the historical downtown of Adana.

Şehitlik station is a railway station in Adana, located in the Yeşiloba mahalle of the Seyhan district. It is the closest railway station to the Central Coach Terminal at 1.5 km distance. Yeşiloba horse-racing venue is 1.6 km. west of the station.

Sarıhuğlar is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Seyhan, Adana Province, Turkey. Its population is 339 (2022).

The Seyhan Viaduct (Turkish: Seyhan Viyadüğü) is a 470-metre-long (1,540 ft) box-girder bridge that carries the O-51 motorway across the Seyhan River in Adana, Turkey. The bridge is the northernmost crossing of the river before the Seyhan Dam, just upstream. The Pozant-Adana-Skenderun highway initially included the 1992-completed Seyhan Viaduct. Once completed, the route was re-designated as the Adana Beltway (O-50) and has recently been re-designated again, after the O-50 was replaced by the O-51 and O-52.

The 1998 Adana–Ceyhan earthquake occurred at 16:55 local time on 27 June with a moment magnitude of 6.3 and a maximum intensity of IX (Destructive) on the European macroseismic scale. The total economic loss was estimated at about US$1 billion. The event occurred in Cilicia region in southern Turkey and killed at least 145 people and left 1,500 people wounded and many thousands homeless in Adana, and Ceyhan, the most populous town of the Adana Province, as well as many villages located between both cities along the Ceyhan River. The most casualties and damage occurred due to inadequately engineered buildings in the town of Ceyhan.
