It was founded in 1997 by Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Located in University City in Sharjah, AUS has more than 5,000 students from more than 94 countries and a full-time faculty of more than 360 from 48 countries.AUS offers 26 majors and 48 minors at undergraduate level as well as 16 master's degrees and a PhD in Engineering Systems Management. American University of Sharjah is accredited in the United States by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

The International School of Choueifat, Sharjah is a branch of the International School of Choueifat located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates that follows the 'SABIS' system. The school opened in 1975 and is located beside Sharjah Cricket Stadium. It was the first Choueifat School in the Middle East outside of Lebanon.

Muweilah (Arabic: مويلح) is an archaeological site in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. it is located in what is now the suburb of Al Jurainah near Sharjah University City. A large, fortified settlement thought to have been occupied during the Iron Age II period (1,100-600BC), the site has been explored by archaeologists since the discovery of pottery shards by a local resident led to a French survey of the area in 1989 and archaeological work by an Australian expedition in 1994 It has yielded the oldest known example of writing found to date in the UAE, a pottery shard with an inscription, thought to be Sabean, with the letters 'bml'. Muweilah is considered to be one of the most significant Iron Age sites in the UAE. Excavations have shown the buildings within the site were damaged by a widespread fire. The first evidence of writing in the UAE was found in this site, on a piece pottery with the three letters of the South Arabic (B, M, L). Muweilah is one of the sites on the UAE's preliminary list to be nominated in the future to the World Heritage List.

The Sharjah Cricket Stadium (Arabic: ملعب الشارقة للكريكيت) is in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. It holds the record for the most ODIs hosted in a venue with 240 ODIs up to December 2019. It was originally constructed in the early 1980s and has been much improved over the years. It hosted its first international matches in April 1984, in the Asia Cup. The stadium will be one of the dedicated venues for the 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. In 2010, at the behest of local cricketing patron Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, the Sharjah Cricket Stadium became the home ground for the Afghanistan cricket team for One Day International and first-class matches. In 2016, Afghanistan changed their home ground to Greater Noida Sports Complex Ground in Noida, India. The Multan Sultans and the Quetta Gladiators used the Sharjah Cricket Stadium for most of their home games in the most recent PSL season.The cricket stadium also hosted the inaugural edition of the T10 cricket league, which is a 90-minute cricket league from 14 to 17 December 2017 featuring several international cricket players.The stadium also hosted the final of the 2018 Blind Cricket World Cup featuring India and Pakistan with India defeating Pakistan by 2 wickets to secure the Blind Cricket World Cup title. It has 62 metre boundaries in long on and 58 metre in straight. It has 65 metre boundary in mid wicket.

Al Mizhar (Arabic: المزهر) is a locality in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Al Mizhar, literally meaning The Blossom, is one of the southeasternmost localities of Dubai. It is bordered to the south by Mirdif and to the west by Muhaisnah. Al Mizhar is bounded to the north by route D 93 (Al Tunis Road) and to the south by D 89 (Al Khawaneej Road). Al Mizhar is divided into two subcommunities: Al Mizhar 1 and Al Mizhar 2.

Sharjah Stadium (Arabic: استاد الشارقة) is a multi-purpose stadium in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Sharjah FC. The stadium has a capacity of 18,000.
