Canadian Forces Detachment Mountain View, also CFD Mountain View, is a Canadian Forces airfield (Trenton/Mountain View Airport) located in Prince Edward County, Ontario, south of Belleville. It is geographically close to CFB Trenton, which has administrative responsibility for the facilities.

Trenton/Mountain View Airport (TC LID: CPZ3) is located 5.2 nautical miles (9.6 km; 6.0 mi) southeast of Mountain View, Ontario, Canada. The airport serves as a Royal Canadian Air Cadets flying centre from May until October and as a flight training centre from June until the end of August each summer. Stored at Canadian Forces Detachment Mountain View, a geographically separated detachment of CFB Trenton located at the airport, are retired Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) aircraft. A dismantled de Havilland Canada CC-115 Buffalo is located here. A new gravel runway (06L/24R) was constructed in 2006 to train RCAF Lockheed CC-130 Hercules aircraft crews in landing on unprepared landing strips.

Ameliasburgh is a village in the Township of Ameliasburgh in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada. The village of Ameliasburgh was sometimes known as "Roblin's Mills" after one of its early settlers and the mill he built; the shallow lake to the south of the village is known as Roblin Lake. One of the first townships surveyed in Ontario, Ameliasburgh Township, bordered on the north by the south shore of the Bay of Quinte, was known as "Seventh Town" in the early days of settlement. Much later, the poet Al Purdy lived in a cottage on Roblin Lake for many years. Several of Purdy's poems, most famously including "Wilderness Gothic", mention features in and around Ameliasburgh. The church whose spire "Wilderness Gothic" has been "sheathed in new metal" is now part of the Ameliasburgh Museum. The Ameliasburgh library, which has a collection of Purdy memorabilia on display, is named after Purdy, as is the road leading from the town to the Roblin millpond. The Roblin Mill has been relocated to Black Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto. Started in 1855, the Ameliasburgh Fall Fair is an agricultural fair held by the community every September, featuring a horse & pony show, baking and garden produce contests, livestock competition and arts & crafts. It was held regularly at the Roblin Fairground in the 1900s but eventually ceased to operate before being re-introduced, at the same location, in 1982.

Ameliasburgh is an historic township in southern Ontario, Canada, one of the three original townships that formed Prince Edward County. The other two townships were Marysburgh and Sophiasburgh. Originally known as Seventh Town, it was renamed in 1787 after Princess Amelia, the youngest child of George III. The township was amalgamated into the Corporation of the County of Prince Edward, a single tier municipality, on January 1, 1998. The community of Ameliasburg, Ontario was named after the township.

Bay of Quinte is a provincial electoral district in Ontario, Canada, centered on the Bay of Quinte. It elects one member to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. This riding was created in 2015.

Bay of Quinte (French: Baie de Quinte) is a federal electoral district in central Ontario, Canada, centred on the Bay of Quinte. Bay of Quinte was created by the 2012 federal electoral boundaries redistribution and was legally defined in the 2013 representation order. It came into effect upon the call of the 42nd Canadian federal election, scheduled for 19 October 2015. It was created out of parts of the electoral districts of Prince Edward—Hastings (62%) and Northumberland—Quinte West (38%).

The Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf is a provincial school in Belleville, Ontario with residential and day programs serving elementary and secondary deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Along with three (ECD and Robarts School for the Deaf) other provincial schools for the deaf in Ontario, it is operated by the Ministry of Education (Ontario) under Education Act of Ontario section 13 (1).Teachers are both deaf and hearing. Deaf student population is approximately 50 students in the senior school and 60 in the elementary school; total is 90 students. Deaf students from Canada often attend Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. and Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York for post-secondary programs.

Albert College is a co-educational independent boarding and day school located in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. It is the oldest co-ed boarding independent school in Canada, and the only private boarding school in Belleville. Albert College currently has an enrolment of approximately 300 students from over 20 countries. The school comprises an Early Primary Learning Centre (Pre-Kindergarten), a Junior School (Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6), a Middle School (Grades 7 and 8), and a Senior School (Grades 9 to 12). Boarding students are divided into three residences: Baker House, for Grade 7 to 9; Graham Hall, for Grade 10, 11 and 12; and Victoria Manor, for Grade 7 to 12. Albert College is also a day school for local students, who come mainly from Belleville, as well as the nearby communities of Picton, Napanee and Kingston. Students are transported in school vans or drive to school every day and return home every evening. Albert College's facilities include a chapel, a dining hall, several art rooms, and a science wing. In addition, ESL is also offered at Albert College during the annual summer-school program. Belleville cemetery is a cemetery located in the city of Belleville, Ontario, Canada. Incorporated in 1872, it now covers 65 acres (260,000 m2) along the north shore of the Bay of Quinte.

The Moira River is a river in Hastings County in eastern Ontario, Canada. It travels from its source in the centre of the county to the Bay of Quinte at the county seat Belleville .

Potter Creek (French: ruisseau Potter) is a stream in the municipalities of Quinte West and Belleville in Central Ontario, Canada. It is a tributary of the Bay of Quinte and is thus in the Lake Ontario drainage basin.
