St. Peter's Church, also referred to as St. Peter's on Capitol Hill, is a Roman Catholic church located on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., within the Archdiocese of Washington. Founded in 1820, St. Peter's is the second oldest Catholic parish in the City of Washington (but not the District of Columbia). The church building was originally constructed in 1889. However, it was destroyed by a fire in 1940 and rebuilt. The church's motto is, "To be a tangible manifestation of Christ in the community."The church's proximity to the United States Capitol Building attracts many members of Congress and congressional staffers, and its location on the House side of the Capitol has made it commonly known as the House church, while its counterpart on the Senate side, St. Joseph's, is known as the Senate church.

Lincoln School, established in 1864, was a school for African American students in Washington, DC. The school was built after students outgrew classroom space in nearby Little Ebenezer United Methodist Church.

Watterson House is a Federal rowhouse, located at 224 2nd Street, Southeast, Washington, D.C., on Capitol Hill. It was placed on the National Register of Historic Places on January 17, 1992. It was named for George Watterston, a Librarian of Congress. It was the headquarters of the Cato Institute from 1982 to 1993. It is the headquarters of the National Indian Gaming Association.

The C Street Center is a three-story brick townhouse in Washington, D.C. operated by The Fellowship. It is the former convent for nearby St. Peter's Church. It is located at 133 C Street, SE, behind the Madison Building of the Library of Congress and a short distance from the United States Capitol, Republican National Committee, Democratic National Committee and House of Representatives Office Buildings. The structure has 12 bedrooms, nine bathrooms, five living rooms, four dining rooms, three offices, a kitchen, and a small chapel.The facility houses mostly Republican members of Congress but prominent Democrats including Hillary Clinton are members of this organization. Prior to its current use, the building housed the offices of Ralph Nader's Congress Watch, Critical Mass Energy Project, and the Tax Project.

The James Madison Memorial Building is one of three United States Capitol Complex buildings that house the Library of Congress. The building was constructed from 1971 to 1976, and serves as the official memorial to United States Founding Father and president James Madison. It is located between First and Second Streets SE on Independence Avenue, in Washington, D.C.. In addition to various book and multimedia collections, it houses the United States Copyright Office, which is under the jurisdiction of the Librarian of Congress.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) is the primary committee of the Republican Party of the United States. Its members are chosen by the state delegations at the national convention every four years. Bullfeathers of Capitol Hill is a restaurant and bar on 410 First Street SE in Washington, D.C., in the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Its name comes from President Theodore Roosevelt's favorite euphemism for "bullshit." The logo of the restaurant is a depiction of Roosevelt. It was founded in 1979 by Gordon King. It has achieved some degree of fame for its association with congressional staffers and members who have been patrons, and as a place where "lobbyists take Hill staffers to down martinis.". It has since reopened under new ownership. The new owners are Tony Harris and William Walls. The restaurant has been variously described as "one of Capitol Hill's key upscale watering holes" and "a favorite House-side dive.". Bullfeathers, Capital Hill is also the location of the Annual SWTA Legislative Breakfast.The political website PoliticsPA named it to their list of restaurants frequented by politicians.The restaurant also figured in the Mark Foley scandal. Reports indicated that Mark Foley approached a former 18-year-old intern at Bullfeathers and asked for an email.

The Law Library of Congress is the law library of the United States Congress. The Law Library of Congress holds the single most comprehensive and authoritative collection of domestic, foreign, and international legal materials in the world. Established in 1832, its collections are currently housed in the James Madison Memorial Building of the Library of Congress. Law staff rely on and utilize 2.9 million volumes of primary legal sources, 102.18 million microforms, 99,000 reels of microfilm, 3.18 million pieces of microfiche, and 15,600 tangible electronic resources (CD-ROMs and other disks), making it is the largest law library in the world.

Garfield Park is a neighborhood park in Washington D.C. Named after President Garfield, it is located at the intersection of 2nd Street and G Street in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Southeast, Washington, D.C. It is bounded by 3rd street on the east and New Jersey Avenue on the west. South Carolina Avenue and F Street bound it on the north, and its southern border is Interstate 695. A large playground is located near its center, and the park also hosts a number of sport amenities such as tennis courts, a volleyball court, bocce courts, and a baseball backstop along with picnic tables and benches. The park is maintained by the DC Department of Parks and Recreation. It is categorized as a neighborhood park, which means that it provides an informal park settings for recreational purposes for the immediate neighborhood.

The Moldenhauer Archives at the Library of Congress is a collection of original music, unique documents and manuscripts within the Library of Congress, the national library of the United States. The Moldenhauer archives contains many thousands of unique original documents of historical significance. Part of the collection was bequeathed to The Moldenhauer Archives at Harvard University, located in the Houghton Library at Harvard University.
