Sachin State

Sachin is a locality in the Surat Metropolitan Region in the Indian state of Gujarat. The town has a large industrial area managed by Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), SurSEZ (Surat Special Economic Zone), Diamond SEZ and many other private SEZs, In Land Container Depot (ICD) is located in Sachin. The town is located 9 km from Surat by railway and 13 km from Surat by road and in south of Udhana on Surat-Navsari-Mumbai State Highway which is known as Surat-Navsari Twin City Road. The town is also closer to Navsari, it is 11 km north of Navsari. Sachin is also a railway junction on Delhi-Mumbai railway line. Sachin is on junction of NH-6, NH-228, NH-8 and other major State Highways. Sachin is in important area on Surat-Navsari Industrial Area, Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor and Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India. Sachin is under the Surat Urban Development Authority (SUDA). Some area are under governing body Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC), some is in Sachin INA Development Authority and some is in Kanakpur-Kansad Municipality. In 2015, Sachin was upgraded to a municipality status to provide better amenities to residents of the town. Sachin is the southernmost town of Surat district. The town had good location as a result of which many industries were established by GIDC. The Sachin Industrial Area is Asia's second largest industrial settlement in terms of area.

Sachin railway station is a small railway station in Surat district, Gujarat, India. Station code of Sachin is SCH. The station consists of three platforms. The platforms are well sheltered. It has many facilities including water and sanitation. The station lies on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad–Jaipur–Delhi main line. Sachin is also in Western Dedicated Freight Corridor of India.

Pandesara is an industrial area in the city of Surat, India. It is about 10 km from Surat central Railway Station and 5 km from Udhana. It hosts more than 230 industries and is home to 150,000 residents. Once, Pandesara was a small village in Surat district, but owing to the establishment of industries it became a large commercial hub. It comes under Surat Municipal Corporation. Pandesara was the only area of Surat which was not affected by the floods of 2006 owing to its elevation, the highest in Surat. Pandesara adjoins City Light, Althan, Sachin and Udhana.

Kapletha is a village in Surat district in Gujarat, India. Situated approximately 21 kilometres (13 mi) south of Surat, the village population is approximately 2500. It has a very large Islamic university known as Jamiatul Qirat. Also, there is the river Mindhora which flows from the outer side of village. There are many brick factories around the village. Most of the villagers are in abroad mainly in the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, and Barbados Panama. The villagers' main occupation is farming. There is a small pond in the heart of village and also there is a restaurant named Sigdi on main Surat-Navsari road in Kapletha. Mahatma Gandhi, during his Dandi march journey, visited this village and crossed the river Mindhora. During that period there was no bridge over the river, so the villagers made a bridge with bullock cart and Mahatma Gandhi crossed the river and continued his journey towards Dandi. In this village, most people have Patel as their last name, also there are DEGIA, Aswat, Pandor, Chichwadiya, Sacha, Harpati, Dhimmar, Raja, Ukadia etc.
