Navesink Highlands

The Monmouth Tract, also known as the Monmouth Patent, Navesink Tract or Navesink Patent was a large triangular tract of land granted as a land patent to settlers of New Jersey during the early American colonial period.

Navesink (, NAY-və-sink) is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) within Middletown Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 2,020.

Locust (also known as Locust Point) is an unincorporated community located within Middletown Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. It is situated along the north banks of the Navesink River and Claypit Creek. The area consists of mostly medium-to-large sized houses throughout the hilly terrain of this part of the township. The Oceanic Bridge connects Locust with Rumson to the south.

The Atlantic Highlands School District is a community public school district that serves students in pre-kindergarten through sixth grade from Atlantic Highlands, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.As of the 2018–19 school year, the district, comprising one school, had an enrollment of 311 students and 30.5 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 10.2:1.The district is classified by the New Jersey Department of Education as being in District Factor Group "GH", the third-highest of eight groupings. District Factor Groups organize districts statewide to allow comparison by common socioeconomic characteristics of the local districts. From lowest socioeconomic status to highest, the categories are A, B, CD, DE, FG, GH, I and J.For seventh through twelfth grades, public school students attend Henry Hudson Regional High School, a comprehensive six-year high school and regional public school district that serves students from both Atlantic Highlands and Highlands. As of the 2018–19 school year, the high school had an enrollment of 331 students and 39.1 classroom teachers (on an FTE basis), for a student–teacher ratio of 8.5:1.

Huber Woods Park is a county park located in the community of Locust, Middletown Township, New Jersey. The 390-acre (160 ha) park, run by the Monmouth County Park System is situated in the Navesink Highlands and is primarily made up of preserved woodland and farmlands formerly owned by the Huber family. The park is often used for hiking, birdwatching and horseback riding and features an environmental center, housed in the former Huber family residence, a reptile house, and an equestrian area.

All Saints' Memorial Church is a small stone Gothic-style Episcopal church built in 1864 by Richard Upjohn in Navesink, New Jersey. A National Historic Landmark, the church complex, which includes the rectory, stable, and carriage house, is a well-preserved example of the late work of Upjohn.

Stone Church is an unincorporated community located in Middletown Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, within the census-designated place of Navesink. The settlement is located at the intersection of Valley Road and Locust Avenue (County Route 8A), Navesink Avenue (CR 8B), and Monmouth Avenue. In the center of the community, the historic All Saint's Memorial Episcopal Church built in 1864 sits at the main intersection. The remainder of the area consists of single-family houses and forests on the slopes of nearby Mount Mitchill.

Mother Teresa Regional School (MTRS) was a Catholic school, which offered grades pre-K to eighth, in the Diocese of Trenton in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, USA. The principal was Tom Sorci before the school's closure. MTRS offered many sports programs and encouraged student participation in the variety of in-school and after school groups and clubs. The school year was broken down into three trimesters.

Hilton or Hiltons is an unincorporated community located within Atlantic Highlands in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States.

Atlantic Highlands is a borough in Monmouth County, New Jersey, in the Bayshore Region. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 4,385, a decline of 320 (−6.8%) from the 4,705 in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 76 (+1.6%) from the 4,629 in the 1990 Census.Atlantic Highlands contains Mount Mitchill, the highest point on the eastern seaboard south of Maine, rising 266 feet (81 m) above sea level. The borough's name comes from its location overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.Atlantic Highlands was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 28, 1887, from portions of Middletown Township, based on the results of a referendum held that day. The borough was reincorporated on September 1, 1891.Atlantic Highlands is part of the Bayshore Regional Strategic Plan, an effort by nine municipalities in northern Monmouth County to reinvigorate the area's economy by emphasizing the traditional downtowns, dense residential neighborhoods, maritime history, and the natural beauty of the Raritan Bayshore coastline.

The MacLeod–Rice House, also known as Croydon Hall, is located at 900 Leonardville Road in the Leonardo section of Middletown Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The historic Colonial Revival house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 3, 2018, for its significance in architecture. Donald W. MacLeod had the T. Burdge homestead converted to feature Queen Anne architecture by architect L. Jerome Aimar in 1894. Architect Thomas Emery designed a library addition in 1901. After MacLeod's death in 1901, Melvin A. Rice married his widow. Rice had the house design changed to feature Colonial Revival style by architect Ernest A. Arend in 1915. A large, two-story curved portico was added. In the 1940s, it was used as a school, and known as the Croydon Hall Academy.

The Chapel Hill Rear Range Light is a lighthouse located off of Middletown Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States, which functioned as the rear light of the now-discontinued Chapel Hill Range.
