Chapel Hill Rear Range Light

Chapel Hill is an unincorporated community located within Middletown Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. As its name implies, the area is on a high spot within the township between Fairview and Leonardo just south of the Naval Weapons Station Earle Waterfront Section. Unlike other areas of Middletown Township, the Chapel Hill section is not as developed with single-family homes; only a few housing developments are located off the area's main roads, Kings Highway and Chapel Hill Road. The rest of the area outside NWS Earle consists of horse farms and forestland.The section of the township was the site of a Project Nike missile site located off Normandy Road, a road and railroad corridor connecting the two portions of NWS Earle. On May 22, 1958, an explosion of ordinances at the site killed ten workers on site. The United States Army operated the site until 1960 and all military activity ceased in 1963. A memorial to the deceased sits at nearby Fort Hancock, Sandy Hook.

The MacLeod–Rice House, also known as Croydon Hall, is located at 900 Leonardville Road in the Leonardo section of Middletown Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The historic Colonial Revival house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 3, 2018, for its significance in architecture. Donald W. MacLeod had the T. Burdge homestead converted to feature Queen Anne architecture by architect L. Jerome Aimar in 1894. Architect Thomas Emery designed a library addition in 1901. After MacLeod's death in 1901, Melvin A. Rice married his widow. Rice had the house design changed to feature Colonial Revival style by architect Ernest A. Arend in 1915. A large, two-story curved portico was added. In the 1940s, it was used as a school, and known as the Croydon Hall Academy.

The Dempsey Pump House is located at 55 Hamilton Avenue in the Leonardo section of Middletown Township in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The historic pump house was built in 1926 and was also used as playroom and community space. William Dempsey purchased the property in 1920. The township purchased the 5-acre (2.0 ha) site in 2004. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 11, 2024.

Mother Teresa Regional School (MTRS) was a Catholic school, which offered grades pre-K to eighth, in the Diocese of Trenton in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey, USA. The principal was Tom Sorci before the school's closure. MTRS offered many sports programs and encouraged student participation in the variety of in-school and after school groups and clubs. The Navesink Highlands, sometimes referred to as the Highlands of Navesink and also known as the Atlantic Highlands, is a range of low hills and upland areas located along the United States Atlantic coast in New Jersey. The hills of the Highlands reach over 350 feet (107 m) in elevation, reportedly reaching a maximum elevation of 391 feet (119 meters) at Crawford Hill, which is the highest point in Monmouth County. The seaward front of the Navesink Highlands constitute the highest headlands along the United States east coast south of Maine, with the highest point of the headlands reaching an elevation of 266 feet (81 meters) at Mount Mitchell.
