The 1985 Turkish embassy attack in Ottawa was the storming and attack that took place on 12 March 1985 by agents of the Armenian Revolutionary Army against the Turkish embassy in Ottawa, Canada.Inside the embassy, the assailants rounded up hostages, including the wife of the Turkish ambassador, his teenage daughter, and embassy staff members—at least 12 people. The attack resulted in a single death, on-duty security officer Claude Brunelle—a 31-year-old student from the University of Ottawa—who shot at the gunmen and was shot in return, being killed instantly.

The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Ottawa (Turkish: Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Ottava Büyükelçiliği) is Turkey's diplomatic mission to Canada. It is housed in a sprawling Tudor style manor located at 197 Wurtemberg Street overlooking the Rideau River. The building was built by Fisheries Commissioner William F. Whitcher in about 1869. In 1888, it was expanded and housed the Ottawa Children's Hospital, and remained a hospital until 1908. In 1953, it became home to the Turkish embassy.

There is also a "Wallis House", an Art Deco building on the Golden Mile, The Great West Road, Brentford, England.Wallis House is a prominent landmark building in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is located at the corner of Rideau Street and Charlotte Street. Today, after restoration, the building serves as a deluxe condominium complex.

The building was constructed for future Supreme Court Chief Justice Francis Anglin in 1912. It was designed by prominent Ottawa architect Werner Ernst Noffke. The building was purchased by Pakistan in 2004 for $1.1 million under the ambassadorial tenure of Shahid Malik. Before this the embassy had been located in an office building on Slater Street in downtown. The embassy had previously been located in Sandy Hill, but in 1975 it had been gutted by fire. The ambassadorial residence is located at 190 Coltrin Road in Rockcliffe Park.

The Bate-Fenton House (or Bate's House) is a prominent heritage example of Canadian Victorian architecture situated on Embassy Row in Sandy Hill, Ottawa near Strathcona Park. It was described as the "homestead property" of the influential Bate family.
